  1. Push the release button to insert 8 x 1.5V AA batteries.

  2. Before using the camera, please format the SD card both on PC and camera.

  3. In SETUP mode, if you can turn on the camera and set parameters, it means that the camera is in good condition.

  4. In SETUP mode, check if the Sensor is in good condition as follows.
Please walk around or do some actions in front of the camera sensor. If the blue light at the top of the camera is flashing, the main sensor in the center of the camera is intact. If the green light is also flashing, the sensors on the sides are intact.

  5. Switch to ‘SETUP’ mode, set parameters as follows.
    Mode: Photo
    Photo resolution: 24MP(5600 x 4200)
    Multi-shot: 1 photo
    PIR interval: 10 seconds
    Side Pl R sensors: ON
    PIR sensors sensitivity: Medium
    Working timer: OFF

  6. After setting the parameters, please switch to the ‘ON’ mode.
At this time, the camera screen will display a 5s countdown.
After the countdown is over, the camera screen will turn black, the camera has entered the working state at this time.
The camera will start shooting or recording according to ambient temperature changes.

Note:

  1. Please use a class 10 or higher SD card(max 128GB). 32GB SD cards should be formatted as FAT32, 64GB and above should be formatted as 64FAT,

  2. Both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries are supported. You can also use a 6V external power source, such as a solar panel.

  3. In order to prevent the battery compartment from accidentally falling down when popping out, we designed some grooves on the inner wall of the battery compartment.
When pulling out the battery compartment, please use force.

  4. The average battery voltage must be at least 1.4V per cell.
When the voltage of a normal AA battery falls below 1.4V, the battery is in a state of near disconnection and can no longer turn on the camera’s IR light, WiFi, or even record video. So Do not use 1.2V rechargeable batteries and old and new batteries mixed.

INTRODUCTION OF IMPORTANT PARAMETERS

Video Length
Default 5 seconds. 5″-180″ available.
Select the duration of the video as needed. Please pay attention to that when recording manually in the Setup mode, the camera will stop recording after 29 minutes/ the video size reaches 4GB / the memory card is full/ the battery is in low power.
Notice: The power consumption of 10s video recording is the same as 150 photos. Therefore please record the video according to the actual situation to extend battery life.
PIR Interval
5″-59’59″available for Photo mode, 10″-59’59″available for Video mode.
After the selected interval, only when the animal enters the detection range, the camera will be triggered and take a picture. Shorter intervals and higher shooting frequencies will consume power faster.
H5 Camera’s PIR Photography Principle
In the detection range, if the camera detects a temperature change, the camera will automatically take photos after PIR interval. If the camera doesn’t detect the temperature change, it won’t take photos.
Side PIR Sensors
You can choose to turn on or off the sensors on both sides.
Select ‘OFF’ to turn off side PIR sensors. If you want to narrow
the detection range, please turn off the side PIR sensors.
Working Timer
Select ‘ON’ and click ok to confirm, then press n and g button to set the starting working and ending working time.
After completing the settings, the camera will only take pictures or videos during the selected working hours every day. Beyond the period, the camera will be on standby. For example, if the start time is set to 18:35 and the end time to 8:25, the camera will be operational from 6:35 pm of the current day until 8:25 am of the following day. During this period, once the animal enters the detection range, the camera will be triggered. Beyond the period, the camera will not take any photos or videos.

Time Lapse
Select ‘ON’ and set the time interval. After this time interval, the camera will automatically take photos or videos regardless of whether the animal is within the detection range.
For example, if you want to record the process of flowers blooming, you can use time-lapse. The camera automatically takes pictures after every set time interval.

Password Setting
Choosing ‘ON’ then click ‘OK’ to set up the password, press the and button to adjust values of password, press ‘MODE’ to switch to the next password value. When completing the settings, click the ‘OK’ button to exit the password setting.

  • Turn on the TV and connect the TV to the camera with an AV data cable.
  • Turn on the camera and switch to ‘SETUP.
  • After successful connection, the camera will enter the playback mode, and the LCD screen will turn black. The pictures and videos captured will be displayed on the TV screen.

The camera can’t be turned on| 1. Please check whether the batteries are installed in a proper way.
2. Check if the battery capacity is low or exhausted.
If it is, please replace it with 8x 1.5V brand new AA batteries.
3. Check if the switch has been adjusted to the ‘ON’ mode. Switch to the ‘SETUP’ mode for parameter setting. After setting, switch to the ‘ON’ mode and the screen will turn off when the 5s countdown ends and enter the working mode.
4. If SD Card and SD Card adapter have something wrong, the camera will also not work normally.
---|---
The camera turns off automatically| 1. Please check whether the battery capacity is low or exhausted. If it is, try to change new batteries for outdoor use or connect a 6V DC adapter(the power interface is 3.51.35mm) for indoor use.
2. If SD Card and SD Cardholder have something wrong, the camera will also turn off.
It shows ‘SD card Error’| 1. Please ensure that the SD card is with class 10 standard or higher level.
2. Please format the SD card on the computer first and format it again when it is inserted intothe camera.
3. Please replace another SD card.
Videos are choppy or jumpy when played on a computer| 1. Try to use different media players such as VLC players.
2. Ensure AVI format Video clip can be played on your computer.
The image is not clear| 1. Please set the resolution to high.
2. Shorten the shooting distance.
3. Please don’t take photos in rainy or foggy weather.
4. Please ensure that you have removed the protective films on IR LEDs and lenses before using them.
The camera does not take photos or record videos| 1. Please check if the battery’s power is too low.
2. Make sure you have inserted the SD card(class 10 or higher, up to  28GB), and the SD card is successfully formatted.
3. Confirm the switch has been adjusted to the ‘ON’ mode. When the 5s countdown ends, the screen will turn off to enter working mode, then
the camera needs to wait for a PIR interval time’ (depends on your setting) before it officially enters the standby state. At this time, it will start shooting or video recording according to the environmental temperature change.
4. Every time a photo/recording is completed, the camera will enter a static non-triggered state. The specific duration is determined by the ‘PIR interval time’. In this state, the camera will not take pictures or record videos until the ‘PIR interval time’ ends.
5. Confirm the usage scenario. The smaller animal needs to be closer to the camera to trigger.
The night vision effect is poor| 1. Check whether the battery is low. The night shot requires turning on IR LEDs, thus it will consume more battery power. Therefore, if the battery is insufficient, the night vision effect will be poor or even the night vision will not work. In this case, please check whether the battery is l.SV(do not use 1.2V rechargeable batteries, sometimes even a brand new battery will not work due to insufficient voltage).
2. In the field, the camera relies on IR LEDs to take photos or videos. If the subject(such as distant plants and small animals) is in a far distance,
the photo or video will be fuzzy. Therefore, we recommend that the camera be installed at about 5 meters of the active range of the subject(the
smaller size of the object, the closer the distance is required).
The wifi connection between App and the camera is stuck/
disconnected?| Due to the high repetition rate of 2.4GHz Wifi frequency, it has potential problems of interference.
The camera has a possibility to be interfered with by other devices( other routers, microwave ovens, Refrigerators, and other electrical appliances),
which leads to the WiFi signal reduction or easily disconnected. Please use the wifi hunting camera where there are few interference sources.

Notice: Specification could be subject to modification due to updating. Please regard the actual product as the standard form.
