PREPARING THE CAMERA
Please test whether the camera is working normally after receiving it.
-
Push the release button to insert 8 x 1.5V AA batteries.
-
Before using the camera, please format the SD card(up to 128GB), then insert it.
-
Switch to SETUP mode, if you can turn on the camera and set parameters, it means that the camera is in good condition.
-
Check if the Sensor is in good condition as follows.
In SETUP mode, please walk around or do some actions in front of the camera sensor.
If the blue light at the top of the camera is flashing, the main sensor in the center of the camera is intact. If the green light is also flashing, the sensors on the sides are intact. -
In SETUP mode, set parameters as follows.
Mode: Photo
Image Size: 24MP
Picture No: lP
PIR Interval: 10 seconds
Pl R Sensitivity: High
Monitor Period: off
Time-lapse: off -
Switch to ON mode. After the countdown is over and the screen goes dark, the camera needs to wait for a ‘PIR Interval/Time Lapse’ before it officially enters standby mode, at which point it will start shooting or recording according to ambient temperature changes. For example, if you select 10s PIR interval, the camera will start to take photos after the countdown+ 10s. The next photo is after 10s.
Notice
-
To prevent the battery compartment from accidentally slipping off, we have developed a special design for it. Please pull the battery compartment open with some force.
-
Please use class 10 or higher SD card(max 128GB). 32GB SD cards should be formatted as FAT32, 64GB and above should be formatted as exFAT.
It is recommended to format the SD card on the computer and then format it on the camera, which can largely solve the problem of incompatibility between SD cards and cameras. -
Please use 8x 1.5V AA batteries or 1.5V AA rechargeable batteries or an external 6V/1.5A power supply. If the battery is weak, the shooting cannot be completed.
-
The average battery voltage must be at least 1.4V per cell.
When the voltage of a normal AA battery falls below 1.4V, the battery is in a state of near disconnection and can no longer turn on the camera’s IR light, WiFi, or even record video.
PRECAUTIONS ON-CAMERA MOUNTING
- The detecting range of the sensors is 120 °. Please aim the main sensor at the area to be photographed to ensure that the subject is not missed.
- Fasten the camera to a tree or similar object at a height of 1-2 meters and aim the camera to the desired direction. (The camera should be tilted down a bit.)
Notice: To ensure that the camera doesn’t make unwanted recordings of irrelevant movements, it should not be set up in a sunny location or close to branches.

INTRODUCTION OF IMPORTANT
PARAMETERS
Video Length
Default 5 seconds. 5″-180″ available.
Select the duration of the video as needed. Please pay attention to that when
recording manually in the Setup mode, the camera will stop recording after 29
minutes/ the video size reaches 4GB / the memory card is full/ the battery is
in low power.
Notice: The power consumption of 10s video recording is the same as 150
photos. Therefore please record the video according to the actual situation to
extend battery life.
PIR Interval
- Default 30 seconds. 5″ – 59’59” available.
- In photo mode, the shortest interval is 5 seconds.
- In video mode/ photo+video mode, the shortest interval is 10 seconds.
- Select the interval as needed. After a selected Pl R interval, the camera will only be triggered and take photos when the animal enters the detection range and a temperature difference is generated.
- The camera doesn’t take any photos or videos during the selected interval, which avoids unnecessary shootings.
H6 Camera’s PIR Photography Principle
Within the detection range, if the camera detects a temperature change, the
camera will automatically take photos after the PIR interval.
If the camera doesn’t detect the temperature change, it won’t take photos.
Time Lapse
ON/ OFF available
Select ON and then set the time interval. After the time interval, the camera
will take photos or videos automatically whether or not an animal is within
the detection range.
For example, if the process of flowers blooming has to be recorded, time-lapse
can be used. The camera automatically takes pictures after every set time
interval.
Notice: When the time-lapse is switched on, the PIR photography function
is automatically deactivated.
Monitoring Period
Timer 1 Start/ Timer 1 Stop
Timer 2 Start/ Timer 2 Stop
Select OFF, the camera will work 24 hours a day on standby.
Select ON, press or set the start working time and end working time.
After completing the settings, the camera will only take pictures or videos
during the selected working hours every day. Beyond the period, the camera
will be on standby.
For example, if the start time is set to 18:35 and the end time to 8:25, the
camera will be operational from 6:35 pm of the current day until 8:25 am of
the following day. Beyond the period, the camera will not take any photos or
videos.
Notice: If there are duplicate time settings for Timer 1 and Timer 2, the
camera will not be able to confirm the working time to the extent that it will
not work. This is because the same time setting for timer 1 and timer 2 will
cause the program to be incorrectly identified.
Password Setting
Setup a startup password to protect the camera. If you forget the password,
please enter llll(universal password) to boot up.
Auto WI Fl Off
1 Minute/2 Minutes/3 Minutes available
Setup the time so the camera will automatically turn off WI Fl

Simple Troubleshooting
The camera can’t be turned on| 1. Please check whether the batteries a
reinstalled in a proper way.
2. Check if the battery capacity is low or exhausted. If it is, please
replace by 8x 1.5V brand new AA batteries.
3. Check if the switch has been adjusted to the ‘ON’ mode. Switch to the
‘SETUP’ mode for parameter setting. After setting, switch to the ‘ON’ mode and
the screen will turn off when the Ss countdown ends and enter the working
mode.
4. If SD Card and SD Card adapter have something wrong, the camera will also
not work normally.
---|---
The camera turns off automatically| 1. Please check whether the battery
capacity is low or exhausted. If it is, try to change new batteries for
outdoor use or connect a 6V DC adapter(the power interface is 3.51.35mm) for
indoor use.
2. If SD Card and SD Card holder has something wrong, the camera will also
turn off.
It shows ‘SD card Error’| 1. Please ensure that SD card is with class 10
standard or higher level.
2. Please format the SD card on the computer first and format it again when
it is inserted into the camera.
3. Please replace another SD card.
Videos are choppy or jumpy when played on a computer| 1. Try to use
different media players such as VLC players.
2. Ensure AVI format Video clip can be played on your computer.
The image is not clear| 1. Please set the resolution to high.
2. Shorten the shooting distance.
3. Please don’t take photos at rainy or foggy weather.
4. Please ensure that you have removed the protective films on IR LEDs and
lenses before using them.
The camera does not take photos or record videos| 1. Please check if the
battery’s power is too low.
2. Make sure you have inserted the SD card(class 10 or higher, up to 128GB),
and the SD card is successfully formatted.
3. Confirm the switch has been adjusted to the ‘ON’ mode. When the 5s
countdown ends, the screen will turn off to enter working mode, then the
camera needs to wait for a ‘PIR interval time’ (depends on your setting)
before it officially enters the standby state. At this time, it will start
shooting or video recording according to the environmental temperature change.
4. Every time a photo/recording is completed, the camera will enter a static
non-triggered state. The specific duration is determined by the ‘PIR interval
time’. In this state, the camera will not take pictures or record videos until
the ‘PIR interval time’ ends.
5. Confirm the usage scenario. The smaller animal needs to be closer to the
camera to trigger.
The night vision effect is poor| 1. Check whether the battery is low. The
night shot requires turning on IR LEDs, thus it will consume more battery
power. Therefore, if the battery is insufficient, the night vision effect will
be poor or even the night vision will not work. In this case, please check
whether the battery is 1.5V(do not use 1.2V rechargeable batteries, sometimes
even a brand new battery will not work due to insufficient voltage).
2. In the field, the camera relies on IR LEDs to take photos or videos. If
the subject(such as distant plants and small animals) is in a far distance,
the photo or video will be fuzzy. Therefore, we recommend that the camera is
installed at about 5 meters of the active range of the subject(the smaller
size of the object, the closer the distance is required).
The wifi connection between App and camera is stuck/disconnected?| Due to the
high repetition rate of 2.4GHz Wifi frequency, it has potential problems of
interference. The camera has a possibility to be interfered by other devices(
other routers, microwave ovens, refrigerators and other electrical
appliances), which leads to the WiFi signal reduction or easily disconnected.
Please use the wifi hunting camera where there are few interference sources.
Notice: Specification could be subject to modification due to updating. Please regard the actual product as the standard form.
