ROCKLER 68061 Magnetic LED Task Light
WARNINGS
- Keep out of reach of children. The Rockler Magnetic Task Light is NOT a toy.
- This product contains a rare earth (neodymium) pacemakers. Keep away from internal medical devices.
- Batteries can explode or leak if heated, disassembled, recharged, exposed to fire or high temperature or inserted incorrectly.
NOTICE
The Rockler Magnetic LED Task Light requires four AAA batteries (not included).
Installing Batteries
- Unscrew the flared base of the Magnetic LED Task Light. to catch the battery holder as it comes out light’s handle.
- Install four AAA batteries in the battery holder, orienting the batteries as indicated by the “+” and “-” marks on the holder.
- Slide the battery holder back into the handle, taking care that the arrow marked on the holder faces into the handle. Fig. 1
- Thread the base back onto the handle.
Operating the Light
- Press the button on the handle once to turn the light on high (300 lumens). Press the button a second time to switch to low (100 lumens). Press the button a third time to turn the light off.
- In addition to the two power modes, the width of the light also can be adjusted anywhere from a wide angle to a narrow beam. To widen the beam, pull the exterior ring toward the back of the light. To focus the beam into a spotlight, push the exterior ring toward the front of the light.
Mounting for Use
The Rockler Magnetic LED Task Light has a rare-earth magnet in its flared base that attaches to steel and iron surfaces, such as the tables, bases or bodies of lathes, band saws and other power tools. For mounting to non-metallic surfaces, the light comes with a clamping bracket that can be attached to a desk or bench and two auxiliary bases with metal washers that can be screwed to walls, studs or worktops. The Magnetic LED Task Light fits into the auxiliary bases.

To mount with the clamping bracket, loosen the knob on the bracket until it is open enough to fit on the desired surface.
(It can be clamped on surfaces up to 21⁄2″ thick.) Then tighten the clamp and place the base of the Magnetic LED Task Light on the metal flat sections of the bracket. -
To mount with the auxiliary bases, determine the mounting location(s). Make sure you will be screwing the bases to a surface strong enough to hold the light and to allow removal of the light without pulling the auxiliary base off the surface. Once you have the location(s) set, drill a pilot hole, if necessary; then place a metal washer inside the auxiliary base (making sure that the chamfered side of the center hole is facing up), and secure the washer and base to the surface with one of the included flat-head screws.
