WIND BEE – Windmesser
The WIND BEE Windmesser is a portable device used for measuring wind speed.
It comes with a display, buttons for operation, and a tripod screw for
stability. The device is powered by a 9V battery and has a backlight for easy
reading in low light conditions. It has a measurement range of 0.4 to 30.0 m/s
and provides accurate readings within this range. The device also features a
maximum and minimum mode for recording and viewing the highest and lowest wind
speed values. It can be used in various climate conditions and has an

Caution:
Risk of injury:
- Keep this instrument and the battery out of the reach of children.
- Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuit-ed, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
- Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
- Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries.

- Do not place your product near extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
- Protect it from moisture, sand, dirt and dust.

Operation
Getting started:
Ensure that the battery is properly inserted and turn on the device using the ON/OFF button.
- Open the screw of the battery compartment (below RoHS sign) and insert the battery 9 V. Ensure that the battery polarity is correct.
- Please pay attention to the connection wires.
- Close the battery compartment again.
- All LCD segments will be displayed for about a few seconds.
- The battery symbol, the actual measured temperature, the measuring unit (default: m/s) and 000:0 appear on the display.
- The unit is ready for use.
- The device will turn off automatically after 15 minutes, if no button is pressed.
- Press the ON/OFF button for at least 3 seconds to turn off the instrument immediately.
Measuring the wind speed:
Hold the device against the wind and read the displayed wind speed value.
- Press the ON/OFF button.
- All LCD segments will be displayed for about a few seconds.
- The battery symbol, the actual measured temperature, the measuring unit (default: m/s) and 000:0 appear on the display.
- Press and hold the MAX/MIN button to change between m/s, km/h, Knots, Mph or ft/min as measuring unit.
- Hold the device in the wind.
- The wind speed is displayed in the selected measuring unit.
Reading the maximum and minimum values:
Switch to the maximum or minimum mode to view the highest or lowest wind
speed values recorded by the device.
- Press the MAX/MIN button to enter the maximum and minimum mode.
- MAX appears on the display.
- The highest wind speed and the temperature since the last activating of the device are displayed.
- Press the button again.
- MIN appears on the display.
- The lowest wind speed and the temperature since th last activating of the device are displayed.
- Press the MAX/MIN button again to leave the ma mum and minimum mode
Changing the temperature unit:
Refer to the user manual for instructions on changing the temperature unit
displayed by the device.
- The default setting is °C.
- To change the temperature unit, turn off the device first by pressing and holding the ON / OFF button.
- Press and hold the MAX/MIN button.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button at the same time.
- The device switches on and the temperature unit appears in °F.
- To change the temperature unit again, turn off the device first.
Using the backlight:
Activate the backlight feature for better visibility in low light
conditions. The backlight will automatically turn off after 30 seconds.
- Press the ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate th backlight.
- If the ON/OFF button is not pressed, the backlight switches off automatically after approximately 30 seconds.
Care and maintenance:
- Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
- Remove the battery if you do not use the device for long period of time.
- Keep the device in a dry place.
Battery replacement:
If the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the battery with a new 9V battery.
- Change the battery when the battery symbol appears on the display.
- Confirm the device is power off before changing battery.
- Open the battery compartment and insert a new battery 9 V.
Troubleshooting:
If you encounter any issues with the device, refer to the user manual for
troubleshooting steps. If the problem persists, contact the supplier from whom
you purchased the device.
If your device fails to work despite these measures con tact the supplier from whom you purchased it.

Dispose of empty batteries and rechargeable batteries responsibly by taking
them to your retail store or an appropriate collection site to protect the
environment. Follow national or
local regulations for proper disposal.
