BUYER RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up the device for damage; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the firm which carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly, address the dealer at once.
  • Check up the package contents and availability of the warranty card. Make sure the warranty card has a shop stamp, a legible signature or the seller’s stamp and purchase date, and the goods number corresponds to that in the warranty card. Remember: in case of warranty card loss or discrepancy of numbers you forfeit the right for warranty repairs.
  • Before installing and using the speaker system, read this Manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
  • Shipping and transportation equipment is permitted only in the original container.
  • Does not require special conditions for realization.
  • Dispose of in accordance with regulations for the disposal of household and computer equipment.
  • The date of manufacture of the product is indicated on the box.

DESCRIPTION

GC-W500 Game Racing Wheel with built-in vibration feedback mechanism  ensures realistic driving in an autosimulator. Effect of vibration feedback imparts a feeling of speed and uneven road surface, vibration at swerves, collisions and crashes in games. Panel with brake and acceleration pedals makes it possible to gain speed or brake in a flash. Rubber coating and ergonomic construction of GC-W500 game racing wheel enhance accuracy of driving during the game. There is located a D-Pad, functional programmable buttons that can have different functions assigned on the racing wheel.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not disassemble or repair the device on your own. Maintenance and repairs should be carried out by qualified staff of the service centre only.
  • Protect the device from direct impact of high humidity, dust, strong magnetic fields, vibrations, high temperatures, toxic liquids and gases.
  • Instructions for device maintenance: for cleaning the case of the device please use clean soft cloth. Do not use such solvents as gasoline or spirit for cleaning, since these solvents can damage the surface of the device.
  • Do not drop the device not to have it damaged.

CONNECTION AND INSTALLATION

  • Install the device on even surface (for example, on a table) on its 5 suction cups. If necessary fasten it with the fixation stand (Fig. 2).
  • Connect the pedal unit to the device (Fig. 3) using the cable built into the unit to the connector, and then connect the device itself with a USB cable to a free USB port on the computer.
  • Insert the driver CD into your PC’s drive and run «setup.exe» to install the drivers on your PC.
    If your PC does not have a CD drive, download the https://www.sven.fi steering wheel software GC-W400 in the support section.

USING GAME RACING WHEEL WITH A PERSONAL COMPUTER

Install LS-USBMX1/2/3 Steering Wheel W/ Vibration.exe. driver. Double-click on the file, then follow the instructions of the installer.
D-INPUT MODE
By default, the steering wheel automatically turns on the D-Input mode, analog mode – the red indicator is constantly on. A short press on the MODE button switches the steering wheel to digital mode – the LED indicator goes out. To test the rudder, enter the test interface, if necessary, perform a key and axle test.

  • In «control panel» menu, then click on «devices and printers», icon, in the window that opens, select «LS-USBMX 1/2/3 Steering Wheel W/Vibration», shortcut, right-click on «Game controllers settings» (Fig. 5).
  • Click on «Properties» button on the PC display «Properties: LS-USBMX 1/2/3 Steering Wheel W/ Vibration» window will appear (see Fig. 6). Here you can check the operation of the axes and keys, check and adjust the vibration feedback «Vibration Test» (see Fig. 7).

X-INPUT MODE
Connect the steering wheel to your PC. D-input mode is enabled by default. Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds – the steering wheel will switch to X-input mode. During mode switching, the red LED will blink three times.

  • Go to «control panel» menu, then click on «devices and printers» icon, in the window that opens, select «LS-USBMX 1/2/3 Steering Wheel W/Vibration», shortcut, right-click on «Game controllers settings» (see Fig. 8).
  • Press «Properties» button in the window that opens (see Fig. 9) you can check the operation of the axes and keys. The «Parameters» tab allows you to calibrate the steering wheel.

REMAPPING BUTTON

Source keys: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

  • Reassignable Keys: left petal (Y-), right petal (Y +), brake pedal (Y-), gas pedal (Y +).
  • Hold the 9 + 10 key at the same time for 3 seconds, the green LED indicator will flash quickly.
  • Press the reassignable key (for which you want to change the value), the green LED will flash slowly.
  • Press the programming key, the green LED will turn off, programming is complete.

Setting the default key value

  • Hold 9 + 10 keys at the same time for 3 seconds, the green LED indicator will flash quickly.
  • Press the reassignable key (right / left paddle, brake or accelerator pedal), the green LED will flash slowly.
  • Press the reassignable key again, the green LED will turn off.

Reset all buttons to their default values

  • Hold 9 + 10 keys at the same time for 3 seconds, the green LED indicator will flash quickly.
  • Hold the 10 key for 4 seconds, the green LED is off and all programmed key functions are cleared.

The reassigned buttons retain their properties until the steering wheel is disconnected from the PC. When you reconnect the steering wheel, the button values are set to default.

SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT

Adjustment allows you to set three levels of steering wheel sensitivity:

  • Press 9 + 10 key at the same time for 3 seconds, the green LED indicator will flash quickly.
  • Press UP( ↑ ) n the D-pud, the LED turns off, the sensitivity is set to high.
  • Press DOWN ( ↓ ) button to set the low sensitivity, the LED turns off – the low sensitivity is set.
  • Press left or right on the D-pad, to set the average sensitivity, the LED will turn off, and the average sensitivity is set.

The steering sensitivity setting retains its properties until the steering wheel is disconnected from the PC. When you reconnect the rudder, the sensitivity value is set to default.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
OS Windows does not detect the steering wheel. Check if the pointing device

is properly connected to the USB port of the PC. Connect device to a different USB port.
Do not use USB hubs and extension cords, connect the steering wheel directly to the USB port of your PC.
The manipulator may be in conflict with other peripheral devices.
Restart your PC.
Vibration feedback does not work during the game.| Go to the game settings, turn on the mode of operation of the steering wheel with vibration feedback.
Disconnect the pointing device from the PC, restart and reconnect the pointing device.
During the game, the vibration feedback function is insufficient.| Check vibration feedback in the software settings for the manipulator «Vibration Test». Adjust the force of vibration

If none of the above mentioned solutions removes the problem, please refer to nearest authorized service center for consultation by qualified specialist. Never try to repair the device on your own.
