- Do not use a battery that is significantly damaged or deformed. Doing so may cause the battery to leak, overheat, ignite, or rupture.
- Do not short-circuit the + and – contacts of the battery with wires and other metal objects. Also, do not carry or store the battery together with metal objects such as ballpoint pens and necklaces. Doing so may cause the battery to leak, overheat, ignite, or rupture.
- Stop use immediately if you notice something unusual such as an abnormal smell, smoke, or overheating. Please ask your nearest dealer or service center for repair.
- If any fluid that has leaked from the battery comes in contact with your eyes, do not rub them. Flush your eyes with clean water and get medical attention immediately.
Warning
- Turn off the power immediately in the event of abnormalities such as smoke or unusual odors being emitted. Remove the battery as soon as possible, being careful to avoid electric shocks or burns. If you are drawing power from household electrical outlet, be sure to unplug the power cord. Failure to observe this precaution may cause a fire or electric shock. Then contact your nearest service center. Do not continue using the camera if it has a failure or malfunction.
- Turn off the power immediately if any metallic object, water, liquid or other foreign object gets into the camera. And contact the nearest service center. Do not continue using the machine if it has a failure or malfunction.
- If the LCD panel is damaged, avoid any contact with the liquid crystal inside it. Follow the appropriate emergency measures below.
- If any of the liquid crystal gets on your skin, wipe it off and rinse the affected area thoroughly with water, then wash well with soap.
- If any of the liquid crystal gets in your eyes, flush your eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention immediately.
- If any of the liquid crystal is swallowed, rinse the mouth
- To avoid the risk of small accessories such as the battery and memory card from being swallowed by mistake, keep them out of the reach of small children. If an accessory is accidentally swallowed, it is harmful to the human body. Get medical attention immediately.
- Kollow these precautions to prevent the battery from leaking, overheating, igniting, or rupturing.
- Do not use a battery other than those specifically recommended for the camera.
- Do not carry or store the battery together with metal objects such as ballpoint pens, necklaces, coins, and hairpins.
- If leakage of battery fluid, a strange odor, color change, etc. is noticed during use or during charging, remove the battery from the camera or battery charger immediately and keep it away from fire.
- Do not touch the internal components of the equipment if they become exposed as a result of being dropped or damaged. The high-voltage circuitry in the equipment could lead to an electric shock. Contact your nearest dealer or service center if it is damaged.
- Do not use the equipment near flammable gases, gasoline, benzine, thinner or similar substances to avoid the risk of explosion, fire or burns.
- Do not use the equipment in locations where usage is restricted or prohibited as this may lead to disasters or accidents.
- Stop charging if the charging does not complete within the specified charging time.
- Never put the battery in a microwave oven or high-pressure container.
Caution
- Contact with fluid leaking from the battery can lead to a burn. If you touch the fluid, rinse the area with water immediately. (Do not use soap.) If the battery starts to leak, remove it immediately from the camera and wipe the battery chamber thoroughly before replacing it with a new battery. Do not continue using the camera if it has a failure or malfunction.
- Do not allow the camera to get wet. In addition, do not operate it with wet hands. Both pose the risk of electric shock.
- Do not use it wrapped in a cloth, etc. Doing so may cause a fire.
- Do not allow the metal of the terminals to short circuit. Doing so may cause a fire.
- Do not use it in wet places like kitchens where it will be exposed to oily smoke and humidity. Doing so may cause a fire or electric shock.
- If the exterior of the camera becomes dirty, wipe it clean using a dry soft cloth such as a glasses wiping cloth, or wipe it using a thoroughly wrung out wet cloth. Do not use solvents, as doing so may cause the external surface of the product to corrode.
Regulatory Compliance Statements
COMPLIANCE INFORMATION STATEMENT
Product Name: RICOH THETA X Model: R04010 This device complies with Part 15 of
the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference, and
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Responsible party: RICOH IMAGING AMERICAS CORPORATION Address: 2 Gatehall Drive Suite 204, Parsippany, New Jersey 07054, U.S.A. Phone: 800-877-0155 Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. FCC Part 15 Subpart B Class B This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
FCC Part 15 Subpart C, FCC Part 15 Subpart E
This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any
other antenna or transmitter.
The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are
associated with using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however,
that these low power wireless devices are absolutely safe. Low power wireless
devices emit low levels of radio frequency energy (RF) in the microwave range
while being used. Whereas high levels of RF can produce health effects (by
heating tissue), exposure of low-level RF that does not produce heating
effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many studies of low-level RF
exposures have not found any biological effects. Some studies have suggested
that some biological effects might occur, but such findings have not been
confirmed by additional research. R04010 has been tested and found to comply
with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment
and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines.
Data transmission is always initiated by software, which is passed down through the MAC, through the digital and analog baseband, and finally to the RF chip. Several special packets are initiated by the MAC. These are the only ways the digital baseband portion will turn on the RF transmitter, which it then turns off at the end of the packet. Therefore, the transmitter will be on only while one of the aforementioned packets is being transmitted. In other words, this device automatically discontinues transmission in case of either absence of information to transmit or operational failure. Frequency tolerance (2.4 GHz band): 25 ppm Frequency tolerance (5 GHz band): 20 ppm Lithium-ion batteries are recyclable. You can help preserve our environment by returning your used rechargeable batteries to the collection and recycling location nearest you.
