Operating Instructions
Thank you for choosing a Hama product. Take your time and read the following
instructions and information completely. Please keep these instructions in a
safe place for future reference. If you sell the device, please pass these
operating instructions on to the new owner.
1. Explanation of warning symbols and notes
Risk of electric shock This symbol indicates a risk of electric shock from
touching product parts carrying hazardous voltage.
Warning This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw
your attention to specific hazards and risks.
Note This symbol is used to indicate additional information or important
notes.
Safety instructions
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry rooms only.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- The product is intended only for use inside buildings.
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
- As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits specified in the technical data.
- Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
- Do not use the product in a damp environment and avoid splashing water.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
- Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of suffocation.
- Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
- Route all cables so that there is no risk of tripping.
- Do not bend or crush the cable.
- Always pull directly on the plug when disconnecting the cable, never on the cable itself.
- This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
Risk of electric shock
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Do not use the product if the AC adapter, the adapter cable, or the mains cable are damaged.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.

Installation
The fan’s stand comprises two parts that fit around the main base. The two parts are easy to assemble.
- Clamp the back half of the stand into the front half so that it locks into place.
- Then fix the stand with the four screws supplied. When doing so, make sure that you guide the cable through the recess on the underside of the fan and do not pinch it. Hand-tighten the screws so that they do not protrude and the fan does not wobble afterward or the screws damage the floor.
- Attach the cable holder to the back.

5.2 Displays on WiFi fan

Low, medium or high , by pressing “SPEED”.
The speed setting is shown on the display of the fan.
3| Timer| The fan is equipped with a timer that allows you to set the
operating time from 1 to 12 hours.
4| Mode| Pressing the “Mode” button sets the fan to normal mode, nature mode,
sleep mode or child mode.
Normal mode
The fan starts at the speed you set
**** Nature mode The fan operates at alternating speeds.
Sleep mode In this mode, the fan reduces speed every 30 minutes and switches
off after 1 1/2 hours.
Child mode The fan sets the function timer to 3 hours. It starts with the
oscillation function switched on and the highest ventilation level. After 15
minutes it changes to medium speed and after another 15 minutes to the lowest
speed, which it keeps until the end. The oscillation function can be switched
off manually during this process via app or via the OSC buttons
on the remote control or on the unit.

The fan can be controlled via the controls on the device (Fig. 1), the remote control (Fig. 2), by voice or app.
Getting started
6.1 Inserting / changing the batteries
Warning – Button cells
- Do not swallow the battery. Burning hazard from hazardous substances.
- This product contains button cells. If the button cell is swallowed, serious internal burns can occur within 2 hours and ultimately lead to death.
- Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.

When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and – markings) and insert the batteries accordingly.

Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.

Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.

Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polarity contacts.

Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
-
Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.

Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).

If the battery compartment will no longer close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

If you suspect that batteries have been swallowed or are in any part of the body, seek medical attention immediately.

Do not short-circuit batteries.

Do not charge batteries.
-
Do not burn batteries.

Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow
them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals. -
Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.

Avoid storing, charging, and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).

Press the small latch inwards and pull out the battery compartment.
-
Then insert a CR2025 button cell battery with the correct polarity.
-
Slide the battery compartment back into the remote control.
6.2 Connection to the mains
Warning
- Only operate the product from an approved socket that is connected to the public power supply. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
- If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the power strip’s maximum throughput rating.
- If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.
- Place the fan on a stable, flat surface. Connect the fan to a properly installed socket. The room temperature is shown on the display.
6.3 Installing the app
- Download the “Hama Smart Home (Solution)” app using the QR code and install it.

6.4 Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home (Solution) app

Make sure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. To connect the fan to the app, first, connect it to a properly installed socket. If the fan is now in standby status, the WiFi symbol should flash quickly on the display. If the symbol does not appear or flashes slowly, press and hold the “OSC” button for 5 seconds. Now the WiFi symbol flashes quickly.

Open the app and select “My home” at the bottom left-hand edge of the screen.

Then tap the “+” at the top right-hand edge of the screen and select the category “Fans”.

Now select your WiFi network and enter your password.

Check the box in the “Next step” and click NEXT.

If the connection is successful, the app confirms that the fan has been incorporated. You can now assign the fan a different name if you wish.

Click on “Done” to complete the process.

After a successful connection, you will see that the WiFi symbol on the display stops flashing. It may disappear for a second and then light up permanently.

To operate or configure the device, select the fan under “My Home”. Tap on “Switch” at the bottom left. The fan is now switched on as shown in figure 2. The fan speed can be set to low (level 1), medium (level 2), and high (level 3) by touching the bar. The oscillation function is switched on by pressing the symbol (see fig. 3).

Press “Mode”. You can choose between normal mode, sleep mode, and child mode. This is displayed accordingly at the top. Tap “Setting” at the bottom right. The timer can be set between 1 hour and 12 hours. To cancel the timer, press “Setting” again and then press Cancel. In addition, you can switch the display on and off via “DIM”.
Note
Before the fan can be set to the speed levels and in different modes, the
display must always be switched on first via app, remote control or on the
fan.
6.5 Extended usage options with scenarios
Scenarios and automated sequences that can be created in the app allow various
combination options and usage options for these products, depending on the
SmartHome products in your home.
Programming is always carried out via the app (see Section 4 of the App Guide)
and will be offered/suggested to you on an individual basis.

6.6 Control via voice assistants
The following voice commands are supported:

Care and maintenance
Note Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged periods of non-use. Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
