Safety, Environmental and Setup Instructions

  • Use the device in dry indoor environments only.
  • Protect the device from humidity.
  • Do not open the device. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Refer opening and servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Connect this device to a properly installed and earthed wall outlet only. Make sure the mains voltage corresponds with the specifications on the rating plate.
  • Make sure the main cable stays dry during operation. Do not pinch or damage the main cable in any way.
  • A damaged mains cable or plug must immediately be replaced by an authorized service center.
  • In case of lightning, immediately disconnect the device from the main supply.
  • Children should be supervised by parents when using the device.
  • Clean the device with a dry cloth only.
  • Do NOT use CLEANING AGENTS or ABRASIVE CLOTHS!
  • Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
  • Install the device at a location with sufficient ventilation in order to prevent heat accumulation.
  • Do not cover the ventilation openings!
  • Install the device at a safe and vibration-free location.
  • Install the device as far away as possible from computers and microwave units; otherwise, radio reception may be disturbed.
  • Do not open or repair the enclosure. It is not safe to do so and will void your warranty. Repairs only by authorized service/ customer center.

  • Return the batteries to your dealer or to collection points in your community.
  • Keep batteries away from children. Children might swallow batteries.
  • Contact a physician immediately if a battery was swallowed.
  • Check your batteries regularly to avoid battery leakage.
  • Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced
  • Replace only with the same or equivalent type

POWER SOURCES

This appliance has a rechargeable battery. Use the USB cable to connect the appliance to your USB device or computer to charge the applicance battery. Make sure that the connecting cable is fully inserted into the applicance.

LOCATION OF CONTROL

FM OPERATION

  1. Press and hold the button 2 seconds to switch on the unit.
  2. Press and hold the “MODE “ button 2 seconds to switch FM mode or DAB mode.
  3. Press and hold the button 2 seconds to switch off the unit in all modes.
  4. Press the “Volume ” button to adjust the volume level.

Notes: As the earphone wires are used for the antenna, please connect the earphone plug to the unit before DAB or FM operation.

AUTOMATIC TUNING

  1. Press and hold the “MODE” button 2 seconds to select FM mode.
  2. Press and hold the button 2 seconds to start the automatic tuning process.
  3. When a station is tuned in the tuning process, it will stop automatically and you can listen to your desired station.
  4. Press the “Play ” button to stop playing temporarily and press again to resume playing

MANUAL TUNING

It is for selecting stations, which cannot be tuned automatically.(manual selection) To tune a channel manually:

  1. Press and hold the “MODE” button 2 seconds to select FM mode.
  2. Press the button to select station.
  3. Each time the button is pressed momentarily (0.5 second or less), the frequency changes by a fixed step: 0.05MHz.

MEMORY PRESET
Up to 20 stations can be presented

  1. Press and hold the “PRESET” button 2 seconds to start the preset process.
  2. The display will show “Preset 1 empty”.
  3. Press the button to determine the preset station number.
  4. Press and hold the “PRESET” button 2 seconds to preset your desired station.
  5. Once all the stations were preset, press and hold the “PRESET” button to enter preset mode.
  6. Press the button to select your preset station.
  7. Press the “PRESET” button to confirm and listen to your desired station.

AUTO-SCAN
This product is equipped auto station scan & saving function.

  1. Press and hold the “MODE” button to select FM mode.
  2. Press the “MODE” button again to enter FM menu.
  3. Press the button to select “STATION SCAN”.
  4. Press the button, unit will auto scan and save all available radio station.
  5. Press and hold the “PRESET” button to enter preset mode.
  6. Press the “PRESET” button to confirm and listen to your desired station.

FM INFO
In FM mode, press the “PRESET” button to show FM information. Each press the LCD will show below information:

  1. Radio text.
  2. Information (station type).
  3. Signal strength.
  4. Time/Date.

FM MENU
In FM mode, press the “MODE” button to enter FM menu, press the button to select FM menu as follows:

  1. Lock key
  2. Audio setting
  3. Station scan
  4. EQ
  5. Factory reset
  6. SW version

Lock key

  1. In FM menu, press the button to select “Lock key”.
  2. Press the “ ” button to confirm. All keys will locked.
  3. Press “MODE” button and then press “ ” button to unlock.

Audio setting

  1. In FM menu, press the button to select “Audio setting”.
  2. Press the “Play” button to confirm.
  3. Press the button to select “Stereo or mono” or “Mono only”.
  4. Press the “play” button to confirm.

Station scan

Please refer to AUTO SCAN.

EQ

  1. In FM menu, press the button to select “EQ”.
  2. Press the “play” button to confirm.
  3. Press the button to select EQ features as follows.
  4. EQ off
  5. Bass boost
  6. Jazz
  7. Live
  8. Vocal
  9. Acoustic
  10. Press the “Play” button to confirm.

Factory reset

  1. In FM menu, press the button to select “Factory reset”.
  2. Press the “play” button to confirm. Display will show “Press ‘SEL’ to confirm reset”.
  3. Press the “PRESET” button to start reset. Display will show “Do not power off”.
  4. All settings will be canceled and restored to factories setting.

SW version

  1. In FM menu, press the button to select “SW version”.
  2. Press the “play” button to confirm. Software version information will show on display.

EARPHONE

Connects the 3.5mm headphones. Use the volume control to adjust the sound level of the PHONES jack.

SPEAKER

DAB OPERATION

AUTOMATIC TUNING

  1. Press and hold the “MODE” button 2 seconds to select DAB mode.
  2. The unit will start automatic tuning process and saving (not save in memory preset).
  3. Press the button to select your desired station and press the “play” button to confirm. You can listen to your desired DAB station.
  4. Press the “play” button to stop playing temporarily and press again to resume playing

MANUAL TUNE
It is for selecting stations, which cannot be tuned automatically.(manual selection) To tune a channel manually:

  1. Press and hold the “MODE” button 2 seconds to select DAB mode.
  2. Press the “MODE” button to enter DAB menu.
  3. Press the button to select “Manual tune”.
  4. Press the “ play” button to confirm.
  5. Press the button to select DAB frequency range.
  6. Press the “play” button to confirm.
  7. Press the “paly” button to select “Station scan”, and then press “ ” button to confirm.
  8. Press the button to select “Local scan” or “Full scan”.
  9. Press the “play” button to start scan.
  10. When a station is tuned in the tuning process, it will stop automatically and you can listen to your desired station.

In DAB mode, press the “PRESET” button to show DAB information. Each press the LCD will show below information:

  1. DLS (Scrolling text).
  2. PTY (Programme Type).
  3. Group Name(DAB station name)
  4. Time/Date
  5. DAB Frequency
  6. Transfer Rate
  7. Signal strength.
  8. Signal error rate.

DAB MENU
In DAB mode, press the “MODE” button to enter DAB menu, press the button to select DAB menu as follows:

  1. Lock key
  2. Station scan
  3. Manual tune
  4. EQ
  5. Station Order
  6. Factory reset
  7. SW version

Lock key

  1. In DAB menu, press the button to select “Lock key”.
  2. Press the “ ” button to confirm. All keys will locked.
  3. Press “MODE” button and then press “ ” button to unlock.

Station scan

Please refer to DAB operation: AUTO SCAN.

Manual tune

Please refer to DAB operation: MANUAL TUNE.

EQ

  1. In DAB menu, press the “ ” or “ ” button to select “EQ”.
  2. Press the “ ” button to confirm.
  3. Press the button to select EQ features as follows.
  4. EQ off
  5. Bass boost
  6. Jazz
  7. Live
  8. Vocal
  9. Acoustic
  10. Press the “play” button to confirm.

Station order

  1. In DAB menu, press the button to select “Station order”.
  2. Press the “play” button to confirm.
  3. Press the button to select below station order method:
  4. Multiplex
  5. Alphanumeric
  6. Active
  7. Press the “play” button to confirm.

Factory reset

  1. In DAB menu, press the button to select “Factory reset”.
  2. Press the “ ” button to confirm. The display will show “Press ‘SEL’ to confirm reset”.
  3. Press the “PRESET” button to start reset. The display will show “Do not power off”.
  4. All setting will be canceled and restored to factories setting.

SW version

  1. In FM menu, press the button to select “SW version”.
  2. Press the “play” button to confirm. Software version information will show on display.

BATTERY POWER

Insert 3.7V rechargeable Lithium-ion battery into the battery compartment. Be sure that the batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance. Routinely check the battery’s charge status. Carefully monitor battery that are approaching the end of their estimated life. Please consider replacing the battery with a new one when the battery charge time increase or

battery run time decrease significantly.
