Quick Instruction Manual for Multimedia Hub Adapter 8 Ports

Attention:

  1. If you like to use your HMDI port for a 2nd display and you like to close your MacBook Pro or other laptops with USB-C, you must have the USB-C power cable connected to the hub.
    [Closing your laptop without the USB-C power cable connected to the hub, will put your laptop in sleep mode).

  2. Please make sure that you select the correct HDMI port from your TV or your display INPUT so that your computer display can be shown.

Use the standard USB 3.0 ports to connect devices such as your flash drives, camera, external hard drives or a USB cable for syncing. You can also use the USB 3.0 port with BC 1.2 for charging your iPhone, iPod and more.
The huge variety of portable devices with differences in USB ports, and complicated nature of rechargeable batteries, the USB battery charging [ BC ) version 1.2 is a critical standard for establishing the proper way to charge a battery from a USB port. One USB 3.0 port is equipped with BC 1.2 so you can charge your devices with peace of mind.

Ethernet

Orange LED lights indicates that the Ethernet cable has been connected. White LED lights flickering indicates that data is being transmitted.
There are two video display modes for the external display on the Mac system:

  1. Extension Mode: It means an image is extended to over two display monitors. !split screen!
  2. Mirror Mode: It is the replication mode. It means that the computer and display screen show the same image.

Setting up Video Mirroring:
[You must use your MacBook Pro screen)

  1. From the Apple menu, choose “System Preferences”.
  2. Choose “Displays”.
  3. Click “Arrangement tab”.
  4. In the lower-left corner of the Arrangement pane, select “Mirror Displays.”

In OS X Mavericks or later, you can choose to add a status menu to make it easier to mirror your displays. Use this menu to select your display monitor or TV. To add the menu to the top of your screen, select “Show mirroring options” in the menu bar when available.EZQuest-X40030-8-Ports-Multimedia-

The blue boxes represent all displays that you’ve connected. The white bar at the top of both boxes represents your primary display. In video mirr­oring, both displays have a white bar because they show the same information. You might see black bars on the sides of the screen image. This happens if you choose a resolution in the Display pane that only one of your displays supports. Your Mac uses the closest matching resolution. To switch between video mirroring and an extended mode, press Command-Brightness Down.

Setting up an Extended Desktop:

  1. 1. From the Apple menu, choose “System Preferences”.
    The white bar at the top of the blue box identifies your primary display. The primary display is where your desktop icons and open app windows first appear. To make a different display your primary display, drag the white bar to the box that represents that display.

Power

Due to the power input limitations of mobile devices, this hub is not suitable for pass-through charging tablets including iPad Pro or phones [when using the original wall charger that came with iPad Pros or phones!. To support full- speed charging for iPad Pro, please check your adapter supports 15V [45WI.
