Thank you for buying a HIGHSIDER product. Because of our passion for motorcycles all our products are designed to meet your needs as a motorcyclist. We wish you always a safe and pleasant ride with your new HIGHSIDER product from Paaschburg & Wunderlich GmbH.
Please read this manual carefully prior to installation
The installation shall be conducted according to the ECE standard and by a
qualified person. If the installation violates the ECE standard the liability
for the product is lost. The emitting direction of the light shall be oriented
parallel to the ground and the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The module
can be installed in a vertical or horizontal orientation. Do not install the
module inclined. This light module is approved for the use on motorcycles. The
product complies with the current ECE standard. This means no registration or
carriage of documentation is needed when installing it onto your motorcycle.
Please keep this manual for a later use!
CAUTION: If uncertain about the installation please hire a qualified
person. Never look into the light of the LED’s! Any modification of the item
is prohibited and causes the loss of liability.
- Disconnect the battery from the electric system and assure that your motorcycle stands solidly on the ground. Before installation a functional test of the modules is recommended.
- CAUTION: Connect to 12 V DC power only! Disregarding this will terminate the guarantee.
- Always install pairs of indicators. Make sure no accessories like bags etc. affect the light distribution of the indicator.
- Make sure to to install the unit in a horizontal orientation. The light must emit to the front or rear of the vehicle to meet the ECE requirements concerning light distribution (installation example 1 or 2).
- All cables must be laid out carefully and in a professional manner. Prevent sharp bending of cables. Open cable ends must be insulated.
- Due to the reduced electrical resistance of the LED module, vehicles equipped with CAN-bus system or in some cases ABS system, may need the installation of an additional resistor (in parallel) to work properly.
- CAUTION: After installation, the proper function of the ABS system / CAN-bus system must be checked!
- CAUTION: Check the light installation of your vehicle before each ride!

Before each ride
It is the duty and responsibility of the rider to regularly check and maintain the safety-related vehicle parts. Before starting your journey, check the correct adjustment and function of the product and the tightness of all screwed connections.
Warranty
Take the time to do a 100% professional job of mounting the product. Take into account all our installation and safety instructions. A faulty, improper installation or handling of the product will void the warranty. Care: Do not use aggressive detergents to care for this product. This product can be perfectly cleaned with a simple, lukewarm detergent solution. Contact with brake fluid, brake cleaner, fuel, etc. should be avoided. Immediately pick up any unintentionally applied impurities with a soft cloth and clean the surface with detergent solution.
Environmental Information
This product must not be disposed in the normal household rubbish at the end of its lifetime. The disposal can be done through the Paaschburg u. Wunderlich customer service or a local return and waste collection institution.
