Installation of the headlight
-
Disconnect the battery before fitting. Make sure that your vehicle is standing securely. Before the permanent installation, we recommend that you carry out a function test of the light.
ATTENTION: Only connect to a 12V DC vehicle electrical system! -
As the control unit can get hot, it must be fixed in a suitable and ventilated place. It must not be attached near heat-sensitive parts such as cables, fuel lines or other heat-sensitive materials.
-
If the FT13 is installed in a suitable housing, sufficient ventilation must be ensured to prevent the LED spotlight from overheating. Failure to do so will invalidate the warranty!
-
Never connect the headlamp without the supplied electronics box.
-
ATTENTION: From 09/2021 the electronic box will not be included. In the new version, the cable is then approx. 950 mm long throughout.
-
Lay all cables properly. Do not kink the cables. Insulate loose cable ends well!
-
On vehicles with CAN bus system or ABS system, error messages may occur due to the lower electrical resistance of the LED unit. In this case, an additional resistor can help.
-
ATTENTION: After installation, the correct functioning of the ABS system or CAN bus system must be checked!
-
ATTENTION: Check the correct function of the light system before every ride.
