Tips

  • High ambient temperatures have a negative effect on energy use. Keep the appliance in a position away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
  • Keep ventilation openings free. Clogged openings lead to higher use of energy.
  • Try not to open the door too often, especially when the weather is wet and hot. Once you open the door, mind to close it as soon as possible.
  • The space between the shelves and the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment must be unobstructed to allow the cool air to circulate. Therefore don’t place any food items against the back.
  • Turn the thermostat to a lower setting when the circumstances allow it.
  • Before storing fresh cooked food, make sure the food has cooled at least to room temperature.
  • If the gasket is damaged or if it turns out that the sealing is poor, the energy consumption is substantially higher. To restore efficiency, replace the gasket.
  • Always consider the instructions, otherwise the energy consumption is substantially higher.

To avoid contamination of food, please respect the following instructions

  • Opening the door for long periods can cause a significatn increase of the temperature in the compartments of the appliance.
  • Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
  • Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator, so that it is not in contact with or drip onto other food.
  • Two-star frozen-food compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making icecream and making ice cubes.

Wipe the inside of the appliance after cleaning with clean water and properly wipe everything dry. Leave the appliance to dry for 1 to 2 hours.
The shelves, drawers and door compartments can be removed from the appliance easily and washed by hand. These components may never be cleaned in the dishwasher.

For areas that are difficult to clean in the refrigerator, such as narrow gaps or corners, it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag, soft brush, etc. When necessary use some auxiliary tools, such as thin sticks (tooth picks), to ensure no contamination can accumulate in these areas.

Clean the outside of the refrigerator and the door gasket with mild soap and water. Use a soft moist cloth.

We recommend that you dust the back of the appliance and on the floor with a cloth or vacuum cleaner once a year in order to maintain a good output and low energy consumption.

Do not use hard brushes, cleaning steel wire balls, wire brushes, abrasives, such as toothpastes, organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, oils, etc.), boiling water, acid or alkaline items to clean the refrigerator considering that this may damage the fridge surface and interior. Boiling water and benzene may deform or damage plastic parts..

DEFROSTING

The freezer compartment of the appliance is frost-free – no-frost. With proper use, there should not be any frost accumulated.

However, in case of improper use of the freezer compartment, frost might build up in the freezer compartment after the appliance has been used for a period of time. Defrost the freezer compartment when the layer of ice reaches a thickness of 3 mm. Keep the contents of the freezer in a cool place and wrapped in blankets or newspapers. Switch the thermostat off.

Defrost the freezer compartment. You can speed up the defrosting process by placing a bowl of hot water in the freezer. Do not use sharp metal objects for this operation. They could puncture the refrigerator circuit and cause irreparable damage to the unit. Use a plastic scraper.

Clean and dry the freezer. Plug the appliance in and set the thermostat to the desired temperature setting. When the freezer compartment reaches its correct temperature, replace the food items.

Warning: Never remove the ice with the aid of sharp objects, defrost sprays, a hair-drier, a heater, or similar items. This may lead to unsafe situations and may cause irreparable damage to the appliance

REPLACING THE LED LIGHTING

This appliance is equipped with a LED light bulb. It can be used for a long time. In case, the LED bulb is blown, it must be replaced by a qualified person to avoid any hazard. Contact the Inventum service department.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
Appliance is not functioning Check that the appliance is switched on.

Check that there has not been a power cut.
Check that the plug is not faulty.
Check that the fuse has not blown.
Check that the voltage is correct for the appliance.
Are there any faults with the socket? For this purpose, try the plug of your appliance by connecting it to a socket which you are sure is working.
Temperature inside the appliance is not cold enough| Check that there is not too much food in the appliance.
Check that the temperature is set to a suitable temperature.
Check that the appliance is not placed in direct sunlight, or too near to a heating source.
Check that the ambient temperature is within the operation limits of the appliance.
Are the doors of the appliance opened frequently? Once the door is opened, the humidity found in the air in the room enters the appliance, especially if the

humidity levels in the room are very high. The more frequently the door is opened in humid conditions the more chance of the build up of moisture.

Temperature inside the appliance too cold| Increase the working temperature by adjusting the temperature to a higher level.

The lowest setting/temperature should only be used as a rapid cool setting and should only be set 2 hours before a large amount of food is placed in the fridge. If this is not done the temperature in the fridge compartment could fall below 0°C as the compressor will run continuously.

The inner surfaces of the appliance are wet| Caused by condensation – dry the inside of the appliance.
The outer surfaces of the appliance are wet| Caused by condensation – dry the outer of the appliance carefully.
The appliance smells/odour| Check all the food and drink that is in the fridge is in date and correctly packaged. If it isn’t then it should be removed immediately or repackaged.

Check for spillages on each shelf, rack and drawer. You may need to remove the drawers to check that no spillages have settled underneath them. As spillages that have not been cleaned and have been left can cause smells and unwanted odours.

Check the drainage pipe is not clogged or the drip tray at the back of the appliance is full.
The doors do not close properly| Ensure there are no obstructions preventing door closure.
Check the door compartments and shelves are correctly in place.
Check the door seal is not warped or torn.
Check the appliance is level.
