Battery caution and disposal information
  • Install only new batteries of the same type in your product.
  • Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries or cause batteries to leak.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not use rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc) or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire or water.
  • Recycle or dispose of batteries as per state and local guidelines.
  • Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
  • When the remote control is not to be used for a long time (more than a month), remove the battery from the remote control to prevent it from leaking.
  • If the batteries leak, wipe away the leakage inside the battery compartment and replace the batteries with new ones.
  • Keep away the batteries from heat or moisture.
  • Do not carry or store batteries with other metallic objects. Doing so could cause batteries to short circuit, leak or explode.
  • Never recharge a battery unless it is confirmed to be a rechargeable type.

Installation location

  • This product is designed to sit on a firm, flat surface. Do not place the product on built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack because the ventilation slots around the product will be blocked, resulting in reduced lifetime from overheating. To assure adequate ventilation for this product, maintain a spacing of 7.8 inches (20cm) or more around the product.
  • Make sure the product on the furniture is of adequate size and strength to prevent it from being accidentally tipped over, pushed off, or pulled off. This could cause personal injury and/or damage to the product.
  • Installation of wall mount must be carried out by qualified personnel only. Incorrect assembly can result in severe personal injury and property damage (if you intend to install this product yourself, you must check for installations such as electrical wiring and plumbing that may be buried inside the wall). It is the installer’s responsibility to verify that the wall will safely support the total load of the product and wall mount brackets.

Place Your Soundbar

You can choose to place your soundbar main unit below the center of your TV or mount it on the wall.

Wall installation precautions

  1. Make sure you read all the safety information before you mount the sound bar main unit on the wall.
  2. KMOUK bears no responsibility for accidents or damage caused by improper wall mounting and screws installation or insufficient wall strength, etc.
  3. Install on a vertical wall only.
  4. Do not install in a place with high temperature or humidity.
  5. Verify whether the wall is strong enough to support the product’s weight. If not, reinforce the wall or choose another installation point.
  6. Purchase and use the fixing screws or anchors appropriate for the kind of wall you have (plaster board, iron board, wood, etc.). If possible, fix the support screws into wall studs.
    • Connect cables from the unit to external devices before you install the Sound bar on the wall.
    • Make sure the unit is turned off and unplugged before you install it.
      Otherwise, it may cause an electric shock.

Mount your soundbar on the wall

  1. Place the supplied wall mount template on the wall. Make sure the wall mount template is at least 2 inches (5cm) below the center of the TV.

  2. Use a level to make sure the sound bar is positioned accurately.

  3. Use the tape to stick the wall mount template firmly on the wall.

  4. Mark on the wall using each marking on the template through the mounting holes (Fig.l).

  5. Take away the wall mount template.

  6. Drill a screw hole at each marking on the wall.

  7. Insert the supplied wall anchors into 2 screw holes on the wall (Fig. l).

  8. Insert the supplied screws into the wall anchors. Leave 4mm between the screw heads and the wall (Fig. 2).

  9. Fix and tighten the screws on the wall (Fig. 3).

  10. Hang the Sound bar main unit on the screws (Fig. 3).

Install/Replace the Remote Battery
When the sound bar does not respond by operating with the remote control, replace two batteries with new batteries. And use AAA batteries for replacement.

  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert 2 pieces of AAA size batteries. Make sure the(+) and (-) ends of the batteries match the(+) and (-) ends as indicated.
  3. Close the battery compartment accordingly.

Notes:

  • Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.

Connect Your Soundbar

After you have fixed the position of the sound bar main unit, you can choose the supplied HDMI, OPTICAL, or 3.5 mm AUX cable to connect the sound bar to your TV or other devices, or you can connect with Bluetooth.

Connect with the supplied HDMI Cable

  1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI input connector on your sound bar main unit and another end to the HDMI output connector of your TV or device.
  2. Switch on the sound bar with the POWER button.
  3. By pressing the HDMl{ARC) button on your remote control or one touch the SOURCE button on the unit repeatedly to enter HDMl(ARC) mode, select the HDMI input.
  4. The screen will display” Hd ” turn on the TV or your audio device and play. When you first establish a connection, it may take a few seconds to output sound from the bar speakers.

NOTES

  1. Make sure your TV or device supports the HDMI ARC feature and you have muted the audio of your TV or device. For information, check the user manual of your TV or device.
  2. If you use the HDMl(ARC) connection, the sound bar is usually switched on and off via the remote control of the connected device. The connected device must support the CEC (Consumer Electronic Control) protocol.
  3. The audio transmission via the HDMl(ARC) socket can only work if all components are ARC-enabled. If the transmission is unsuccessful, please check if the digital audio output of your TV is activated. Select audio output PCM2.0 (PCM stereo). If the audio output PCM2.0 (PCM stereo) is not set on the TV, the sound bar will automatically turn off.

Connect with the supplied OPTICAL Cable

  1. Connect the supplied OPTICAL cable to the OPTICAL output on the TV or other device and to the OPTICAL IN on the sound bar.
  2. Press the OPTICAL button on your remote control to switch to OPTICAL Mode or one-touch SOURCE button on the main unit repeatedly to select the OPTICAL mode.
  3. Using the native controls on your connected device, make sure the audio settings are set to OPTICAL Audio and are turned on.
  4. Audio from the connected audio source will be played through the speakers.

Note:
Confirm to set your TV or other device audio settings to support” external speakers” and disable the built-in TV speakers.

Connect with the supplied AUX cable (3.5mm jack cable)

  1. Plug one end of a 3.5 mm audio input cable into the LINE IN on the sound bar. Plug the other end of the cable into the audio output/head­phone output on an MP3 player or other audio sources.
  2. Press the LINE IN button on your remote control directly to enter LINE IN mode or one-touch the SOURCE button on the unit repeatedly to enter LINE IN mode.
  3. Audio played through the connected device will be heard through the speakers.

Connect your sound bar to power supply
After you have connected the HDMI, OPTICAL, or 3.5 mm AUX cable with your sound bar properly, then you can use the built-in AC power cord to plug in the power cord socket to switch it on.

Notes:

  1. Make sure the power supply voltage complies with your country’s safety standards
  2. Connect the AC power cord on your sound bar to the power cord socket. The first time plugged in, the sound bar will start up automatically.

Connect with your Bluetooth device

The first connection

  1. Press the BT IN button on the remote control to enter the Bluetooth pairing mode. Or one to press the SOURCE button on the control panel and then select “BT”. LED display shows” be” flashing rapidly.
  2. Switch on the Bluetooth audio device (e.g., smartphone) and start the Bluetooth connection.
  3. The Bluetooth device will now receive the device identification as”KMOUK KM-HSB003″.
  4. When connected, there will be a prompt sound “Dong Dong Du” and on the white LED screen,” be” will keep on.

Notes:

  1. Make sure your device supports the Bluetooth function.
  2. The operational range between the sound bar main unit and your Bluetooth device is approximately 50ft (15 meters) (without any obstacle between the Bluetooth device and sound bar main unit).
  3. Only one Bluetooth device can be paired at a time.
  4. There is NO password required.

If not the first connection

  1. Power on, the sound bar will connect back to the last paired device automatically and restore the previous settings.
  2. After the successful pairing, there will be a prompt sound “Dong Dong Du” and on the white LED screen,” bl:” will keep on.

Disconnect the sound bar from your device
If you don’t want to use Bluetooth, you can press and hold the PAIR button on the remote control for more than 2 seconds to disconnect the sound bar from your device.

Notes:

  1. Disconnecting takes time because the device must receive a response from the sound bar. (The time required may differ, depend­ing on the device)
  2. In Bluetooth connection mode, the Bluetooth connection will be lost if the distance between the sound bar and the Bluetooth device exceeds 50ft (15 meters).
  3. The sound bar may not perform Bluetooth search or connection correctly under the following circumstances:
    • There is a strong electrical field around the sound bar.
    • There are two or more Bluetooth devices simultaneously paired with the sound bar.
    • The Bluetooth device is turned off, not in place, or malfunctions.
  4. Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves must be kept away from the sound bar main unit, e.g., microwaves, wireless LAN devices, etc.

Use Your Sound bar System

You can use your sound bar with the control panel or remote control and adjust the sound effect or select the audio source.

Operation of the control panel

Notes:

  1. Press the POWER button to shut down and start up again, keeping the settings before the last shutdown.
  2. After power on, the volume of each mode has memory function, and cannot interfere with each other.
  3. After power outage and reboot, the volume will return to the default value of 65% and other settings will remain the state before shutdown.

Operations of the remote control

Adjust the sound effect

Notes:

  1. Use the TREBLE+/- buttons, you can adjust the treble sounds.
  2. Use the BASS+/- buttons, you can adjust the bass sounds.

Select the audio source

Notes:

  1. The audio source switching order is: bc(Bluetooth)-Hd(HDMl)-L 1nE (LINE IN)-0Pc I (OPTICAL)-bc, and it will memory the current mode.
  2. When powered on, the volume of each mode has a memory function and it does not interfere with each other.
  3. When the audio source switches to other mode (not BT), the sound bar will disconnect the current connection, when switch back to BT, it will connect back to the last paired device.

Restore factory setting
When you cannot connect your sound bar with Bluetooth or you want to clear the current settings, you can restore factory setting.

  1. Turn the sound bar on and enter Bluetooth mode
  2. Switch to power off and press the POWER button for 10 seconds simultaneously
  3. Then the sound bar will restore the default volume and sound effects and return to the Bluetooth pairing mode.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the table below if this product does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not help, turn off the product, disconnect the power cord, and contact KMOUK customer service or mail us at [email protected].

  1. The unit will not turn on.
    • Make sure there is power supply.
    • Check if the power cord firmly plugged into the outlet and the sound bar
    • Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the wall outlet (mains), and then reconnect after several minutes.
  2. There is no sound.
    • Check if the audio cable is connected to the sound bar and your device and if the volume of your device is adequate.
    • Make sure you have selected the correct source.
    • Check if the sound bar is muted, press the mute button to unmute it or Volume+ to increase the volume level.
  3. There is distorted sound.
    • Make sure all cables are properly connected.
    • Check if you have selected the correct source.
    • Make sure your Bluetooth device and the sound bar connection is not out of ran e.
  4. The remote control does not work.
    • Check if you have selected the correct source and switch to the right source.
    • Make sure the distance of remote control and the sound bar main unit is within operational range.
    • Check if the batteries are drained and replace with new batteries.
  5. A device cannot connect the Bluetooth of this sound bar.
    • Make sure the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device.
    • Check if the sound bar has paired with your Bluetooth device.

Care & maintenance

Power off the sound bar

  • Switch the unit off at the mains and unplug it if you are leaving it unattended for a long period (holidays etc.)

  • Avoid leaving the battery fitted the remote control if you leave the unit unattended for long periods. It may leak and damage the remote control.
    Care & Cleaning 

  • All care and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains power.

  • Occasionally wipe the cabinet with a lint free duster. Never clean the unit with liquids or solvents.
