Nonin 3150 Memory Clear Application
This document contains information and guidance on how to clear the device
memory of a 3150/3150 USB/3150 BLE Oximeter using the Nonin 3150 Memory Clear
Application.
Equipment Required
- 3150/3150 USB/3150 BLE Oximeter
- Windows 7/8/10 PC Installed with the Nonin USB driver
- Nonin 3150 Memory Clear Application
- 3150 USB Cable
Preparation

Connect 3150 oximeter to the Windows PC using the USB Cable.

Verify that the 3150 oximeter screen shows the “CP” text
• If this does not occur, it’s likely that the 3150 does not have any power. Try fresh batteries. -
Launch the Nonin 3150 Memory Clear Application. The application should launch and resemble figure 1 (Default Nonin 3150 Memory Clear Application appearance).

Using the Combo box at the top, select the COM port that contains the 3150 Oximeter. (Figue 2: Selecting an available COM port)
Note: If a 3150 device does not show in the list and pressing the Refresh option does not populate any more devices, your 3150 Oximeter may not be recognized by the
Windows PC. Verify that the Nonin USB drivers are installed and the 3150 is connected to the
Windows PC using the 3150 USB Cable. -
Verify that the Nonin 3150 Memory Clear Application is able to communicate with the 3150 by checking that the Port Status window is Green. (As shown in figure 3)

Press the Clear Device Memory button to delete the 3150 oximeter memory.

Verify the command success by checking the box to the right of the Clear Device Memory button. (Figure 4: Memory deletion was succesful.)

Figure 5 shows that the memory deletion was not successful and will show an error code. (see below)
Error Codes
COM-01| Application was unable to open up Serial Port with 3150.
COM-02| Application was unable to communicate with 3150.
USB-01| Application was unable to delete 3150 oximeter memory.
