Introduction

Thank you for purchasing our Rock and Roll It Bongos. These roll-up bongos are completely portable and flexible, allowing you to take them with you anywhere. Unique to ANY other bongos out there, you can now play the bongos on the go! Please carefully read the full manual to ensure proper playing and care.

Please note:
Power the bongos using 2xAAA batteries (each1.5V) or use USB power(cord included)
Turn the volume of the bongos down before connecting the headphones

  1. Connect to computers, mobile phones, MP3, MP4, etc, using the included 3.5mm double male audio cable. Connect one end to the MP3 slot on the bongos and the other end to your device.
  2. The volume of the audio input should be controlled on your device.
  3. Diagram for connecting headphones or an external speaker (audio output)
  4. After connections are complete, you’re ready to Rock And Roll

Note: The bongos will enter sleep mode when there is no playing for 1 minute. Hit any pad to wake it up.

Basic Operation

  • On/Off with Batteries
    • Use x2 NEW AAA batteries of the same brand and place them in the bongos. Be sure to place them in the right direction as
    • Switch the button on the control pad to ON when you’re ready to play, and OFF when you’re done.
    • Low-power batteries will cause the bongos to not work properly. Be sure to replace them with new batteries when this happens.
    • For best results, remove the batteries when the bongos are not being used.
  • On/Off with USB Connection
    • Connect one end of the USB power cord into the slot on the bongos labeled “DCSV”. Then connect the other end to your USB power
    • Make sure both ends of the cord are tightly connected.
    • Switch the button on the control pad to ON when you’re ready to play, and OFF when you’re done.
    • For best results, remove the bongos from power when you’re done playing.
  • Headphones/External Speaker
    • Simply plug your headphones into the slot on the back of the bongos labeled “Head Phone”. Make sure the cord is tightly connected. This is perfect for not disturbing others or for nighttime practice.
    • An external speaker could also be connected in this spot using a 3.5mm male audio cable.

  • * Using an included 3.5mm double male audio cord, plug one end into the “MP3” slot and the other end into your MP3 playing device. The music will play through
  • your audio output , allowing you to play along with your favorite songs .
  • Volume Control
    • Press the “V+” button to increase volume , and the “V-” button to decrease the
  • Tempo Control
    • Press the “T+” button to increase the tempo of your demo or rhythm songs.
    • Press the “T-” button to decrease the tempo .
    • Press both buttons together to return to the normal speed.
  • Style
    • Your bongos come with 4 different sound styles .
    • The bongos defaults to a basic bongos Press the “STYLE ” button to change the sound style . Continue pressing to switch between styles , and after the 4th style,the bongos will cycle back to the basic sound.
  • Demo Songs
    • Your bongos come with 8 demo songs.
    • Press the “DEMO ” button to hear the first

Continue pressing to switch between the different songs. After the 8th song , the bongos will cycle back to the first song.

  • Rhythms
    • Your bongos come with 5 different rhythms .
    • Press the “RHY ” button to hear the first rhythm. Continue pressing to switch between the different After the 5th song , the bongos will cycle back to the first rhythm.

Record & Playback

  • Press the “REC” button to enter the recording The REC light will flash, indicating that the bongos is ready to record. It can record up to 336 notes.
  • When you’re done playing or have filled up the recording

space, press the “REC” button. This will also cause the red indicator light to turn off.

  • Notes: Demos and rhythms will not work during

recording, and vice versa. 2. The bongos will not store recordings after it is turned off.

  • Press the “PLAY” button to play you The REC

light will flash and then your song will play. When it’s over, the bongos automatically return to normal play mode.

  • If you want to stop your recording before it ends, press

the “REC” button, but please note that will return you to recording mode and erase your original recording.

  • Pressing the “START/STOP” button from a default mode will make the rhythms start to

Simple Troubleshooting

The Issue The Cause How To Fix


Power light indicator is not coming on

•  The batteries are too low

•  The USB cable is not plugged in all of the way

| •  Replace batteries with 100% new ones of the same brand

•  Completely connect the USB power cord to the bongos and to the power source




No Sound

•   No power

•   Volume is turned down

•   Audio output device is not connected.

• Turn the volume up (V+ button)

• Connect headphones or an external speaker to the bongos




Static Sound

•   Low/not new batteries

•   Not using high powered batteries

•  Use high powered batteries of the same brand

Tone List

Care Instructions

  1. Do not use the bongos in high temperatures, in wet areas or surfaces, or in dusty areas.
  2. Keep the bongos on a level surface when using.
  3. Do not use near strong radio waves.
  4. Do not step on the bongos, or place heavy objects on top of it. This will damage the pad connections.
  5. Do not attempt to pull, twist, or stretch the bongos.
  6. Do not tamper with the wiring of the product or cut the pad with sharp objects.
  7. When rolling up the bongos, do not try to roll it very tight.
  8. When playing the bongos, hit the pads with a “normal force”. Pounding on them too hard can damage the inside wiring.
  9. Do not mix old and new batteries.
  10. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.

How to remove and insert the batteries:

  1. Loosen the screws with the screwdriver and removethe battery. 2, After the battery is put, tighten the screws with a screwdriver.

Notice:

  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
  • Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
  • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
  • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
