DRY-CAP UV 3 Rechargeable Drying Cap For All Hearing Aids
Instruction Manual
Dry & Clean mode (2 hours)
The Dry&Clean mode is an automatic program and combines fast drying with an efficient fan with UV-C light at the beginning and end of the drying time for perfect hygiene.
Clean mode (2 minutes)
The Clean mode is a short-term hygiene program and starts the optimized UV-C light, which effectively eliminates up to 99.9% of germs, bacteria and fungi present in the household.
Using first time
- Plug the USB cable into a USB power supply unit (5V/1A) and the round plug into the socket on the back of your dry-cap uv 3®.
- Then plug the power supply unit into a mains socket.

The dry-cap uv 3® is charged in approx. 2.5 hours and ready for operation for approx. 5 cycles in Dry&Clean mode or about 60 cycles in Clean mode.

Operation Dry &Clean Mode (2 hours)
3. Place the dry-cap uv 3® with the hood over the charging station with the rechargeable hearing aids.
4. Press the left button (Dry&Clean mode) and the care program (drying + UV-C) starts automatically.
- The fast drying by fan is controlled by a microprocessor and runs for 2 hours. LED 1 light
- Ultraviolet light (253,7 nm) eliminates germs and bacteria to 99.9% within 2 minutes. LED 1 blink light
- After 2 minutes the UV-C light switch off automatically, the drying process continues. LED 1 light
- Within the last 2 minutes of the 2 h drying program, a second UV-C hygiene runs. LED 1 blink light
- After 2 h the dry-cap uv 3® automatically shutdown to stand-by. LED 1 switch off
Drying and hygiene are complete, the charging of the hearing aids in the charging station continues and can remain under the dry-cap uv 3® after the charging station is switched off.
5. Lift the dry-cap uv 3® up and off next to the charging station. Remove the dried and hygienically cleansed hearing aids from your charging station.
Operation Clean Mode (2 minutes)
3. Place the dry-cap uv 3® with the hood over the charging station with the rechargeable hearing aids.
4. Press the right button (Clean mode) and the hygiene program (UV-C) starts automatically.

- After 2 min the dry-cap uv 3® automatically shutdown to stand-by. LED 2 switch off
5. Lift the dry-cap uv 3® and place it next to the products. Remove the hygienically cleansed products.
Maintenance and operation
We recommend wet wipes for cleaning your dry-cap uv 3®. Please also read the care and operating instructions for your hearing aids and charging station. The dry-cap uv 3® is very energy efficient. Only when the lithium-ion battery is empty it must be recharged (see Using first time). iLED 3 red light. You can interrupt the drying process in Dry&Clean mode by holding the button for more than 3 seconds or by lifting and tilting the unit.
Warnings
Avoid contact with water! The dry-cap uv 3® must not be operated near a sink or similar! Avoid mechanical stress due to shock and falling! The dry-cap uv 3® must not be operated near fire or easily flammable objects! In the event of malfunctions, take the unit to your dealer! Do not disassemble the unit! Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not use the unit as a toy! This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from them on how to use the appliance!
ATTENTION: Do not look into the UV-C light, it could damage your eyes and your skin! The dry-cap uv 3® has a 3G safety sensor. If the dry-cap uv 3® is moved, turned or tilted during use, the 3G sensor switches the device off. In idle mode, you must then restart the device. Please use only with UV-C cleanable products, never with humans and animals.
Disposal
The disposal of this electronic product and the built-in lithium-ion battery must be carried out exclusively in accordance with the locally applicable regulations! This device has the WEEE-Reg. No. DE 47525015 and is accepted as electronic waste at the designated collection points. Do not dispose of it with household waste!
