Getting to know your device
Hearing amplifiers are intended to help people hear better, which they do
by amplifying sounds and then transmitting them to the ear. Hearing amplifiers
can neither prevent nor alleviate organically occurring hearing loss.
Nevertheless, they offer various fields of application. Whether you want to
watch a film, chat with friends or just feel like listening to the sounds of
nature in the woods, hearing amplifiers help you to hear sounds louder and
more clearly. These hearing amplifiers are amplifying devices and are not
medical devices that can be used for therapeutic purposes.
Signs and symbols
The following symbols are used on the device, in these instructions for use, on the packaging and on the type plate for the device:
Proper use
The hearing amplifiers must only be used to improve people’s hearing ability. The devices are only designed for the use described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage resulting from impermissible or improper use. These hearing amplifiers are amplifying devices and are not medical devices that can be used for therapeutic purposes.
Warnings and safety notes

Initial use
Remove the hearing amplifiers from the packaging and check that the devices and all accessories are included and not damaged.
Charging the storage box with an integrated power bank
Connect the supplied micro-USB cable with your storage box and a mains part.
Now connect the mains part to a socket in order to charge the storage box.
During the charging process, the LED charge indicator of the storage box with
integrated power bank lights up in orange.
In general, it takes two to three hours until the storage box is fully charged. Once the power bank is fully charged, the color of the LED charge indicator of the storage box with integrated power bank changes from orange to green.
-
Orange light:
power bank is being charged -
Greenlight:
power bank is fully charge
IMPORTANT
You can charge your hearing amplifiers up to three times with one charge of the power bank. When you remove the charging cable, the LED charge indicator of the storage box with an integrated power bank goes out. After 10 seconds it lights up again and indicates the battery state of the power bank.
- Orange : charge capacity < 20%
- Green : charge capacity > 20%
Charging the hearing amplifiers
Insert the hearing amplifiers into the charging re-cesses of the storage box;
the earplugs and the fixing tubes should be placed in the opening in-side the
box. All three LEDs light up during the charging process.
- Orange light: hearing amplifiers are being charged
- Greenlight : hearing amplifiers are fully charged
In general, it takes approximately 9 hours until the devices are fully charged. Once the devices are fully charged, the LED charge indicators of the hearing amplifiers light up green.
IMPORTANT
If the LEDs do not light up, ensure that the devices are sitting tightly
enough in the charging recess.
Note:
- The charging process can be carried out with the lid open or closed.
- The hearing amplifiers can also be charged while the storage box is being charged.
- The hearing amplifiers can be stored in the storage box with an integrated power bank after they have been charged fully and whilst you are not wearing them.
- In the event of long periods of not using them (i.e. over several weeks), you can also store the hearing amplifiers in the storage box without charging it. To do so, pull the hearing amplifiers out of the opening slightly so that no LEDs are lit.
IMPORTANT
If the devices are fully charged, the LED charge indicators of the hearing
amplifiers switch off immediately. The LED charge indicator of the storage box
with the integrated power bank of the device lights up for four hours. Then
the LED charge indicator of the storage box with integrated power bank
switches off in order to conserve the battery Make sure the volume control is
initially set to the lowest setting before operating the hearing amplifiers.
Usage
Adjusting your hearing amplifie
-
The sound tubes are printed with “2B” in red or blue respectively. “Red” is for the right and “blue” is for the left ear.
-
Attach the earplug to the sound tube by pushing it over the grooves on the tube until it sits securely in place.
-
Place the hearing amplifier case behind your ear. The curved part of the sound tube should sit comfortably on the ear (next to the arm of the glasses for glass-es wearers).
-
Hold the sound tube in place and carefully insert the earplug into the ear canal. Make sure not to insert the earplug too deeply into the ear canal. If the earplug is not properly in place or feels uncomfortable, try a different earplug.
-
Place the fixing tube along the outside of your ear. This ensures that the earplug fits tightly in the ear. If the fixing tube bothers you, you can cut it off. It is not absolutely necessary.
Check whether you have selected the correct size of earplugs by moving your head slowly up and down and then left and right while opening and closing your jaw. If the earplug slips out, it is too small. If you wear glass-es, place the arm of the glasses between your head and the hearing amplifier.
IMPORTANT
Never insert the sound tube into the ear canal without an earplug. Make sure
also not to press the tube and earplug too deeply into the ear canal.
Switching the device on/off
To switch the hearing amplifiers on/off, press and hold the bottom control button for three (3) seconds until you hear two beeps.
Adjusting the volume
Top button:
Increase volume (press briefly)
Bottom button:
Reduce volume (press briefly)
Note:
If you hear a single beep, the volume has been increased or reduced. If three
beeps sound in succession, the highest or lowest possible volume has been
reached.
Setting the hearing programs
In order to switch between the two hearing programs, press and hold the top
button for three (3) seconds.
P1: Normal mode (1 x beep):
Suitable for quiet environments, e.g. at home or in the office.
P2: Noise reduction mode (2 x beeps):
Suitable for outside areas, e.g. on the move, in the supermarket or
restaurant.
Note:
In order to prevent feedback while placing the hearing amplifiers in your ear,
only switch them on once you have placed them in your ear and behind your ear.
Use the volume control to adjust the volume to the desired level so that you
can hear sounds clearly and distinctly.
IMPORTANT
- If you hear a slight whistling sound when wearing the hearing amplifier, check that your earplug is fitted properly in your ear. If it is not snug enough, use a different earplug.
- The hearing amplifier cannot heal an existing hearing impairment, but it does improve hearing and speech understanding.
Cleaning and maintenance
IMPORTANT
- Always keep the hearing amplifier clean.
- Always treat the products with care and prevent the earplug and microphone from becoming blocked with foreign matter. This impairs the function of sound amplification.
- Clean the hearing amplifiers and earplugs with a clean, dry cloth after each use. If they are very dirty, you can also moisten the cloth with a mild soapy solution. Never use abrasive, corrosive or solvent-based cleaning products.
- Under no circumstances should you hold the hearing amplifiers underwater, as this can cause liquid to enter and damage the hearing amplifiers.
- The cleaning brush supplied is suitable for removing earwax stuck in the earplug (see device description).
- Allow the hearing amplifiers to dry fully after cleaning. Store the hearing amplifiers in a safe, dry and clean place in the relevant storage box.
