LIGHT OPERATION
- Press and hold the power button for 1 second to switch on or off. (With mode memory, the light will resume previous mode upon next usage.)
- Double click the power button to toggle between the steady and flashing modes.
HOW TO MOUNT THE TAIL LIGHT
Wrap rubber bracket to the outermost of the light. Wrap-around seat post or seat stay, connect to outermost fin on the opposite side of the light. The packaging includes back pieces that correspond to round, square, or aero-style posts.
HOW TO CHARGE BATTERY
WARNING: Batteries can only be charged using a USB adapter with a 5v output or USB port on a computer. Only charge batteries in a dry environment. Light has smart charging technology which ensures longer battery life and will not overcharge.
- Charge times depend on the light model being charged due to internal components inside the light.
- When the indicator turns flashing blue, it means the battery is below 20%.
Power Button:
Low Battery Indicator – Blue
- Flashing Blue – Charging
- Solid Blue – Charged
- Carefully open the rubber dust cover on the bottom side of the light, exposing the USB port.
- Insert micro USB cord into light USB port.
- Charge indicator will start flashing blue within seconds.
Light will automatically stop charging when full charge is achieved and the indicator light will turn solid blue. Remove battery from charger and reinsert rubber pull tab into USB port to keep out water and dirt. You can expect 300-500 charging cycles from this rechargeable battery. Runtimes are affected above 110º ambient temperature or below 35º ambient temperature. We suggest that you run in the medium or low power modes to extend run time. Always store battery with a full charge. If being stored for more than a month, recharge monthly.
WARRANTY
Go to www.serfas.com/warranty for warranty details and online registration. Limited Lifetime Warranty covers manufacture defects. Serfas warrants to the original purchaser of this product that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product with online registration. This warranty does not apply to damage due to heat, or physical damage (crashing) implied and no representative or person is authorized to assume liability on behalf of Serfas in connection with the sale and use of this product. Serfas reserves the right to request the return of any product submitted for warranty consideration. All customers should contact Serfas directly for warranty service. Battery Warranty: Batteries are covered by a one year warranty from date of purchase. To make a claim, please e-mail warranty@serfas.com. If e-mail is unavailable please call Serfas at 623.888.5841.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
At the end of your battery’s lifespan your light allows for the end user to replace the battery. Overtime after many charge cycles the battery will lose capacity or stop working altogether due to low voltage. When this happens a replacement battery is available to purchase from Serfas or your local retailer.
HOW TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR THE LIGHT
- Make sure to clean the dust and dirt off the light with soft damp cloth after every ride.
- Water resistants is for rainwater only. Do not submerge the battery or the whole light into the water when cleaning.
CAUTION: Please follow the guidelines below:
- Use caution when handling, the light may get hot.
- Unplug the battery and headlight if not in use.
- Unplug the battery and charger if not in use.
- Unplug the connector by the plug end, never by pulling on the cable.
- Do not amend or replace any parts with Non-Serfas parts.
- Do not dismantle the headlight or battery case.
- Provide sufficient airflow to the headlight for cooling during use.
- Do not use submerged underwater.
- Do not look directly at light.
- Do not leave the light on and unattended.
- Keep headlight and battery away from fire and combustible materials.
- Do not store head unit when hot or straightway after use.
- Unplug the USB cable when fully charged.
