Safety Information and Warnings

  • The disposable speculum must be used and locked in place by twisting it against the groove over the metal probe. NEVER use the otoscope without the speculum.
  • Dispose the specula after each use.
  • The Device can be used as directed by a healthcare provider for illuminating and visualizing the ear, nose, throat (ENT). It should never reach or touch the object being monitored, for example, the eardrum.
  • In order to get the best image quality, please handle with care and clean the lens and body of the device thoroughly with alcohol wipes before and after each use. Do not clean the Device with water with a temperature above 122 °F, otherwise the camera lens may be damaged.
  • Ear wax could obscure the camera view. Never use a cotton swab to clear the ear wax. Follow directions from a healthcare provider in case of obscured view.
  • Do not use the Device when there is an open wound or effluent from the bodily cavities in the area being observed.
  • Inserting the Device too deep could cause injury to the body tissue.
  • Use only the lowest illumination necessary.
  • Never look directly into the LED light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Intended Use
The Remmie Dolphin monitor (the Device) is an otoscope. An otoscope is a device intended to allow inspection of the external ear canal and tympanic membrane (eardrum) under magnification. The Device provides illumination of the ear canal for observation by using a battery-powered LED light source and an optical magnifying and imaging system. Included in the package are the monitor, five (5) disposable specula, a charging base, a power adapter and charging cable, and alcohol wipes. Please read the manual carefully for proper operation. Improper or faulty operation may cause the Device to malfunction or cause harm to the user (the User).
Children under the age of 18 should not be permitted to use the Device without supervision of an adult. This device is not recommended to be used on children younger than two (2) years of age.

Product Application

The Device may be applied to ordinary household ENT self-checks as well as to the sharing symptoms for telemedicine consultations. For home use, it helps the User conduct preliminary observations, as directed by a healthcare provider, of symptoms related to but not limited to: ear infection, common cold, flu, sinusitis, allergy, pharyngitis, strep throat, sore throat, pink eye, hand-foot-mouth disease, and toothaches.

INSTALLATION

Download and Install the Mobile App

Search for “Remmie” in the App Store or Play Store

Registration – Verification – Login

  1. Follow the instructions in the Remmie app (the App) to register a Remmie account using an email address.
  2. Go to the email to verify the account.
  3. Login and prepare for use.

How to turn on the Device:

  1. Press the Power Button and hold briefly.
  2. Wait about 20 seconds until the LED light starts flashing

Main Functions

Two modes:

  • Local Mode – a point-to-point connection between phone and the Device. In this case, the phone does not have the Internet access
  • RemmieOn – the phone stays on the Internet. Needs configuration before using.
    Rest assured! The app will guide you which mode to use!

Quick Troubleshooting

If you experience any interruption, please do these quick checks:

  1. Is the Device fully charged?
  2. Is your home Wi-fi network signal stable and strong?
  3. Restart the App and the Device and retry .

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Avoid exposure, direct contact with oil or corrosive liquids.
  • Do not submerge in water.
  • Clean with alcohol wipes.

Warranty

Remmie offers a one (1) year warranty on the Device, pursuant to which Remmie warrants that the Device will materially conform to its specifications as provided to the User in writing upon occurrence of the Transaction and that it will be free of material defects in materials and workmanship. If a Device is determined by Remmie to be defective during a 12·month period following completion of the Transaction (the “Warranty Period”), Remmie shall, as its option, repair or replace the Device free of charge to the User. In the event Remmie cannot repair or replace a Device determined to be defective during the Warranty Period, Remmie will refund the amount of the original purchase price (plus any applicable taxes) upon receipt of proof of purchase. To exercise the above-stated warranty, the User must submit a warranty claim by email to Remmie, Inc. at: remmie@remmiehealth.com during the Warranty Period and within ten (10) days following the discovery of the defect. In addition, the Device must be returned to Remmie in accordance with the instructions provided at the time the claim is made.

This warranty is subject to the following limitations:

  • This warranty is valid only if the sticker on the package is present indicating the serial number and manufacturing details.
  • No warranty is extended if the Device has been altered or modified in any way.
  • This warranty does not include problems or product malfunctions caused by the User’s acts (or failure to act), the acts of others, User’s non-compliance with these Terms or events beyond Remmie’s reasonable control.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Statement. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following twoconditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
  2. this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide Reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one ormore of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
