- Long blink = Power on, battery low
- 5 rapid blinks = Power on, battery critical
Pairing
Consult your Bluetooth Low Energy device or ANT+ device manufacturer for pairing instructions.
NOTICE
Ensure you are at least 30 feet (10 meters) from other transmitting devices
to avoid pairing with another device.
Zeroing Procedure
The power meter can be zeroed three ways: Magic Zero, Auto Zero and Manual
Zero.
Note: DUB-PWR can only use Manual Zero.
Magic Zero will periodically calibrate and zero the power meter during a ride.
For more control over when zeroing happens, use Auto Zero or Manual Zero. Find
more information about each of the zeroing procedures on the following pages.
NOTICE
For best results, turn on Magic Zero, or perform the Manual Zero procedure
before each ride. The Auto Zero procedure can be performed instead of Manual
Zero if your cycling computer cannot send a “Calibrate” command.
Magic Zero
Magic Zero will automatically check the calibration of your power meter
periodically while riding.
Once Magic Zero is activated by turning it on in the AXS app, no input is
needed from the user to calibrate the power meter.
All power meters released in 2016 and later are compatible with Magic Zero,
except DUP-PWR.
NOTICE
Auto Zero is disabled when Magic Zero is enabled. Manual Zero is always
enabled.
Auto Zero
Rotate the crank arms backward five rotations to perform an Auto Zero. The LED
status indicator will blink one time when zeroing is complete.
The Auto Zero procedure may be performed while coasting with the rider on the
bike, stopped using one or both feet, or by hand with the rider off of the
bike.
The cycling computer will not display the Zero Offset value.
NOTICE
Auto Zero is disabled when Magic Zero is enabled. To enable Auto Zeroing, turn
off Magic Zero in the AXS app.
Manual Zero
Perform the Manual Zero with the rider off the bike and the drive side crank arm at 6 o’clock, then use your device’s “Calibrate” command to zero the power meter. The power meter will return the Zero Offset value to the cycling computer.
NOTICE
The Zero Offset takes 2-3 rides to stabilize on new power meters or newly
installed chainrings. If pre- and post-ride Zero Offset values frequently vary
by more than 50 points, or if day-to-day values vary widely, call Quarq
customer support.
Battery Overview
The power meter automatically turns on when the crank arms are rotated, and
shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity. The LED status indicator will blink
green or red to indicate battery life.
Replace the battery when no LED status indicator turns on after back-pedaling
five times.
Battery Safety
WARNING
Consult the coin cell and AAA battery manufacturers for safe handling
instructions.
Keep the batteries out of reach of children.
Do not put the battery in your mouth. If injected, seek medical attention
immediately.
Do not use sharp or metal objects to remove the batteries.
DUB-PWR Battery
NOTICE
To avoid permanent damage to the power meter caused by battery corrosion, ONLY
use AAA Lithium/Iron Disulfide (Li/FeS2) non-rechargeable batteries.
Do NOT use rechargeable Lithium (Li-ion), alkaline, or nickel metal hydride
(Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries in the power meter.

Maintenance
To update the firmware on your component, download the SRAM AXS app, available
for free in the app stores.
Periodically clean your SRAM AXS or Quarq power meter. Use a damp cloth to
wipe off dirt and debris. Clean the components with soap and water only. Rinse
thoroughly with water and allow the parts to dry.
Routinely check the chainring bolts for the correct torque values; never ride
with loose bolts.
NOTICE
Do not clean the power meter with a power washer. For DUB-PWR power meters,
make sure the SLED is installed and tightened before cleaning.
Do not use acidic or grease dissolving agents on the power meter. Chemical
cleaners and solvents can damage the power meter.
Failure to check your chainring bolts could lead to the chainring bolts
backing out of the chainring.
Troubleshooting
Rotate the crank arms backward five rotations to perform an Auto Zero. The LED
status indicator will blink when zeroing is complete.
If the LED light is solid red, then an error has occured.
