Frequently Asked Questions
Do these come with the clip? I’ve ordered them twice and neither have come with the clip.****
I’ve owned a couple of pairs of these. Great little earbuds for the price and I’m rough on them, using them for workouts, yard work, even in the sauna (probably not a good idea). Eventually they give out, but at this price I don’t mind. The last pair I ordered from Amazon had the clip and I consider it essential, that way you can pull them out of your ears and they hang safely on your shoulders. Without the clip they’re constantly sliding onto the ground or floor. Sadly, I recently bought a pair at Best Buy, opened it at home and there was no clip. Took it back to exchange it, and none of the other boxes they had in stock included the clip. So I don’t trust that the clip is included any more, and will probably move on to another set of buds.
Do these work with the fitbit versa?****
Yes they do.
Can i wear these under a helmet?****
You can. I wear mine with a bike helmet. Depending of it the earbud wires are over or under the helmet strap they might tug on the ears a bit.
Volume control for each ear?****
No. Just 1 volume control for both ear buds.
Are these compatible with iPhones?****
Yes. I listen to podcasts on my iPhone SE with them.
Can these be charged using a usb compatible plug for a wall outlet, or do they need to be charged from a laptop?****
Yes you can use a USB compatible plug for a wall outlet. That is all I use.
Is there a mute/unmute control?****
There are two volume buttons + – and an on off button.
Can these be paired with a smart TV?****
Yes, but the charging port is not well made and does not hold the cord faithfully.
Do the connect automatically or do you have to do it manually every time?****
After you add it to your phone, it will automatically connect every time.
Will these work with an iPhone 6s?****
Yes they do. The sound very good.
How is the microphone quality for the Bluetooth calls?****
Everyone says I sound like I’m underwater unless I put the microphone across my face, hanging by my lips.
Can you charge these (like via a USB on a laptop) while using them?****
You can charge them thru the USB on laptop but can’t use them at the same time. The buds go into a charging case which can be plugged into the laptop.
Is this magnetic earbuds?****
No, these are not magnetic.
My headphones don’t seem to be connecting to my MacBook air running macos mojave? is it a problem with the product, the computer, or compatibility?****
To be quite honest, I have windows and sometimes have trouble connecting by Bluetooth. I might just be the compatibility. I would look at some YouTube videos.
What is a cush fin, why do i need it what is it for?****
A cush fin is a small silicone paddle that fits on the earbuds. It actually fits inside the upper portion of your ear and helps hold the earbuds in better. You don’t need it but it definitely helps them stay put. I have tiny ears and it helps me tremendously.
How do you change the song with the buttons?****
You hold the plus or minus button for a few seconds.
Will these work with a Roku remote?****
Yes
Do these get loud enough? I bought a pair of the other 2999 earbuds from J lab and the volume does not increase enough for me.****
I don’t have a problem with volume, but I do have other quality issues with the J lab headphones. I can’t recommend them.
Is the battery replaceable?****
No. I have never had a pair long enough to wear out the battery. I usually have a pair for 2-3 years.
Can i just buy extra gel tips, cush fins, and shirt clip?****
You can, but it also comes with extra, different size gel tips.
Bluetooth version?****
Yep, connects directly to your phone via Bluetooth. It’ll give about 6 hours of battery.
