Operation, cleaning, and care
Switching on and off:
Slide the On/Off switch back to turn the device on. Slide the On/Off switch
forward again to turn the device off. (fig. 1)
This clipper can be used via its cable as well as without its cable.
Connect the power pack to the device socket located on the bottom of the
device. Then connect the power pack to the power (fig. 2).
Cutting height adjustment:
The clippers have a 3-stage, cutting height adjustment.
Using the lever, you can adjust the cutting height between 0.5 – 3.0 mm (fig.
3).
Using the comb accessory:
- Make sure that the On/Off switch is set to 0 when installing and removing the comb. Four combs are available (3, 6, 9, and 12 mm) for different cutting lengths. Push the comb onto the clipping head from the front, making sure that the comb engages on the bottom. (fig. 4)
- Press the comb up as shown in fig. 5 to remove it. You can then replace the comb with another size by proceeding as described in 1.
Clean and oil the device on a regular basis to ensure the problem-free
function and full functional performance of the clippers.
Cleaning the clipping head:
The clipping head should be thoroughly cleaned once a day with regular use.
Switch the device off. Disconnect the device from the power supply. Remove the
comb attachment. Remove the hair with the cleaning brush.
Oiling the clipping head:
The clipping head must be oiled to ensure good cutting results of the clipping
head for as long as possible (during operation every 15 min.
and when stored, preferably on a daily basis). Remove the comb attachment. Use
the brush to clean the cutting edge, removing the hair between the blades. Oil
the locations where the upper and lower part of the clipping head touch. The
device must be oiled immediately when the shearing performance diminishes
noticeably or the temperature of the clipping head seems too high. The
clipping head should be oiled once per day when the clippers are not in use.
Replacing the clipping head:
The clipping head is a worn part. Despite good care, the cutting performance
will diminish. At this point, the clipping head should be replaced.
The clipping head can be ordered individually as a spare part (ref. no.
184641). When replacing the clipping head, you can remove the residue hair
within the clippers using the brush. To remove the clipping head, remove both
screws on the back. Keep these screws in a safe place for the re-installation
of a new clipping head.
Cleaning the device:
Wipe off your device occasionally using a moist cloth, then rub it dry.
