SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the User Instructions carefully before use The appliance is designed for household use only.

IMPORTANT

  • The perforated plates on the shaver head are very thin. It can be deformed or damaged if clenched or knocked.
  • Do not use a shaver with a damaged plate, this can irritate the skin.

IMPORTANT

  •  Do not charge the shaver at temperatures below 0°C, in direct sunlight or in very humid conditions.
  • Only use the charger with the supplied mains adapter.
  • The shaver should be completely dry when it is charged.
  • Do not expose the adapter to water. Do not touch it if your hands are wet.
  • Grip the adapter when pulling it out from the power socket. Pulling the power cord could damage it.
  • Store the adapter in a dry and safe place.
  • Avoid pulling, twisting or sharply bending the power cord.
  • Do not wind the cord round the appliance.
  • The perforated plates on the shaver head are very thin and must be handled carefully. Do not use the shaver if the plates, or an inner blade, are damaged to avoid personal injury.
  • Rinse the shaver in running water. Do not use salt water, or boiling water. Do not use detergents intended for toilets, bathrooms or kitchens. Do not immerse the shaver in water.
  • Do not wipe any part of the shaver with thinner, petrol or alcohol. Use a cloth moistened with soapy water.
  • Do not take the casing apart, this could affect the waterproof design.
  • Do not use the shaver in the shower.
  • The appliance must never be cleaned with water when the power cord is connected.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Keep these instructions in a safe place.
  • Contact an authorised service centre if you have any questions on maintenance, or damage etc.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the appliance.WARNING: The shaver is not intended for wet shaving. Risk of electric shock and personal injury.
  • Do not use the shaver in the shower.

USE

Charging

  • Before using the shaver for the first time, or when it has not been used for a prolonged period, you should charge it for 12 hours. The battery charger should be connected to 220-240V, 50/60Hz.
  • Connect the mains adapter to the shaver and plug the plug into a power socket. The charging lamp goes on.
  • Charge the shaver for 8 hours. The batteries will last longer if the appliance is used until they are completely discharged and then charged to full capacity again.
  • Do not charge the appliance for too long. There is a risk of the damaging batteries if they are overcharged.

AC only

  • Do not use the shaver in the shower.
  • Do not use products such as shaving foam, gel, soap, or lotion etc.
  • Connect the mains adapter to an AC power socket and switch off the shaver. Connect the power cord to the shaver.
  • If the shaver does not start immediately, charge it for about one minute and try again.

Shaving

  1. Switch on the shaver with the power switch. Hold the shaver at right angles (90°) to your skin. Do not press the shaver too hard in the beginning.
  2. Stretch out your skin with the other hand, and move the shaver back and forwards in the direction of the beard. You can gradually press harder as your skin gets used to the shaver. Pressing too hard does not result in a closer shave, but can irritate the skin, especially in the beginning.

Shaver heads
The shaver has two shaver heads. They are separately spring-loaded to adapt to the shape of your face.
Trimming

  1. 1. Open the trimmer by pushing up the trimmer handle.
    2. Hold the trimmer at right angles to your skin and move it downwards to trim sideboards.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
WARNING: Risk of electric shock and personal injury. Unplug the power cord from the shaver and switch it off before cleaning.

  1. We recommend cleaning the appliance with water and liquid soap for good hygiene. Regular cleaning produces better shaving and prevents bad odour.
  2. Pour a little liquid soap on the shaver heads.
  3. Switch on the shaver and rinse the shaver heads in a little water.
  4. Switch off the shaver after about 10-20 seconds. Take off the perforated plate and clean it under running water.
  5. Wipe the shaver with a dry cloth. Leave the protective cover off so that the shaver heads can dry out properly.

Cleaning with a brush

  1. Press the shaver head release buttons and lift off.
  2. Remove the inner shaver blades one at once by gripping the short sides and pulling straight up.
