Get Started

Step 1. Charge Batteries

Remove the battery cover.
Please remember to remove the protector next to the batteries.
Fully charge the batteries by connecting your device to a wall charger (not included) by using the included Micro USB cable. It takes about 14 hours for the batteries to be fully charged.

WARNING

If your device captures an excessive number of events daily, then you may need to recharge your battery more frequently. Plus, every time you use the Live View to look or speak through your doorbell the battery will also be drained. To avoid low battery issues, you may adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity.

Step 2. Download the Rexing Home App

Download and install the Rexing Home app. Scan the QR code below or search for Rexing Home in the App Store or Google Play.
Create an account.
You may now access the basic info of the app and view the battery level on your phone by pressing the Setting icon.

Step 3. Set up your device

To pair your device, follow the steps below and the in-app instructions.

Open the Rexing Home app and log in to your account
To add your SDB1 smart doorbell,select the + icon
Select Video Doorbell.
Press and hold the Doorbell button for about 8 seconds until the indicator flashes red, tap Next, then tap Yes.
Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password, then tap Next (5GHz is not supported).
Use your doorbell to scan the QR Code shown on the app, then select Confirm once the Wi-Fi setup has finished.

Install Your Smart Doorbell

Step 1
Mark on the wall where the holes should be and then use a bit drill to drill holes into your wall where it’s marked. Insert the anchors and secure your doorbell with the mounting and security screws provided.
Step 2. Set up Your Wireless Chime
Connect the smart doorbell to the doorbell chime and get an instant alert in your home when someone rings the doorbell. The chime can be plugged into any wall outlet in the home.
Note:
The video doorbell is only compatible with the Rexing wireless chime.

Before getting started, be sure that the doorbell is connected to your phone and the chime is plugged in.
Press the Connect button.
Press the Doorbell button to pair your doorbell to the chime.
Press the Tune button to cycle through 38 different tunes and select a tune.
Press the Doorbell button again to confirm your selection.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

How long do my videos stay in my account?
Your videos are stored in the Free Cloud for up to 3 days.

How to RESET the doorbell?
Press and hold the Doorbell button for 8 seconds. Then follow the in-app instructions to finish your Wi-Fi setup.

How to share the device with my family?
Open the Rexing Home app. From the home page, tap the Share icon. Tap Share via Email or Share via QR Code. You can share the device with up to 8 users.

Share via Email:
The new user needs to download the Rexing Home app and create an account with the same email address which the device owner has shared with. Log in to the account and you’ll see the shared device.

Share via QR Code:
Open the Rexing Home app on a new user’s smartphone.

From the home page, tap +.
Tap Share via QR Code, then scan the QR code that was generated by the device owner.
You will see Share successful, then tap Confirm.

How many users can view the video at the same time?
Up to 3 users may view the video feed, but only 1 user can use the direct intercom. Both iOS and Android are compatible.

Is 5GHz Wi-Fi supported?
No. Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is supported.

Why is my Wi-Fi signal poor on my device?
Your device may be too far away from your wireless router or you may have some obstructions in between that reduce signal strength you can try repositioning your router or get a signal extender/repeater for your wireless router to get a better signal.

How to adjust Motion Detection Sensitivity?
From the home page, tap the Motion Detection icon.
Motion Detection Sensitivity

High: Records and notifies you about every motion. Shortest battery life.
Medium: Records and notifies you about motion less often. Standard battery life.
Low: Records and notifies you about motion even less often. Maximum battery life.

How to enable notifications on my phone?
To do this, you need to give permission for the Rexing Home app to access to your microphone and enable notifications. Follow these steps to enable notifications.

Open Settings. Go to Notifications.
Make sure all switches are ON for Rexing Home.
