PARTS DESCRIPTION

Safety instructions

Dear Customer, if you follow the recommendations contained in this Instruction Manual, our appliance will give you constant high performance and will remain efficient for many years to come. Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt, and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

General Safety Instructions

1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years and under supervision.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.
5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent to avoid a hazard.
6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
7.  Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
8.  Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
9.  Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
10.  Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
11. This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.
12. This appliance is for household use only.

Specific safeguards

• To disconnect, remove the plug from the wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.
• Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs only.
• Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.
•  Never use your coffee maker without water in it.
• Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household applications such as:
  o Reserved kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices, and other working environments.
  o Farms.
  o By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential environments.
  o In environments such as hotel room

CAUTION: The surface can remain hot during or after use.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add water into the water tank to the MAX level and brew water several times without coffee powder, then discard the water. Clean all detachable parts thoroughly with warm water.

USING YOUR COFFEE MAKER

1. Open the tank cover and fill in freshwater. The water level should not exceed the max level as indicated on the water tank. Replace the tank cover.

2. Swing the funnel support out and place the filter in the funnel, and make sure it is assembled correctly.

3. Add coffee into the filter. Usually, a cup of coffee needs a level spoon of coffee, but you may adjust it according to personal taste.

4. Turn the water dispenser and place it on the coffee filter.

5. Insert the jug on the keeping warm plate horizontally.

6. Plug the power cord into the outlet.

7. Pulse the switch, the indicator will be illuminated. The appliance will begin working. The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the switch at any time. The appliance will continue brewing once the switch is turned on again.

8. Note: you can take out the jug, pour and serve at any time. The appliance will stop dripping automatically. But the time cannot exceed 30 seconds.

9. Remove out the jug to serve when finished brewing (about one minute later after the coffee stops dripping out.)
   Note: the coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water is absorbed by the coffee.
   Caution: When pouring coffee, the momentary incline angle of the jug should not exceed 45°. You should pour the coffee slowly until the jug is empty, otherwise, the coffee in the jug will rush to the jug lid, and the coffee will flow out from two edges of the lid and will cause scalds.

10. When the process is finished, if you do not want to serve immediately do not unplug the power without pulling the switch. The coffee can be kept warm for 30 minutes and then the device will stop. For an optimum coffee taste, serve it just after brewing.

11. Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when the coffee maker is not in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or unit in water or liquid. After each use,  always make sure the plug is first removed from the wall outlet.

1. Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot and sudsy water.
   Note: the funnel can be removed from the column to cleaning. When assembling, only insert the column of the funnel into the groove of the appliance.

2. Wipe the product’s exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.

3. Water droplets may build up in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the product.

4. Replace all parts and keep it for the next use.

REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS

To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the mineral deposits left by the water regularly according to the water quality in your area and the frequency of use of the appliance. Follow the next instructions:

1. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the MAX level in the gauge of the coffee maker (the scale of water and descaler is 4:1). Please take into consideration the descaler’s instructions. Please use “household descaler”. You can also use citric acid instead of the descaler (the one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
2. Push the jug on the base. Pay attention to letting the centerline of the jug align with that of the brew basket.
3. Pulse the switch and the indicator of it will be illuminated. After a while, water will drop out automatically.
4. After percolating the equivalent of one cup and pulse the switch to turn off the appliance.
5. Leave the solution to work for 15 minutes, and then repeat the steps of 3-5 again.
6. Turn the appliance on and run off the water until the water tank is completely empty.
7.  Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.

Disposal of old electrical appliances.
The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed-out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliances.
