The intended use of this appliance is explained in this manual. The use of accessories other than those recommended in this manual may present a risk of personal injury.

Always check the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, orthe appliance in water or any other liquid.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the appliance’s cord to remove the appliance plug from the socket.

This appliance is intended for domestic use only. Do not use for industrial or commercial use. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended use.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and person with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
INTENDED USE
- The device may only be used to heat up water, not for heating up milk or other liquids. Do not use the device to make tea or coffee in it.
- The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
- The device should only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
- Take the kettle off the base station to fill it, pour water or clean it. Make sure that no water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle.

CONTROL PANEL
- 70°C – Ideal for white tea/delicate teas 80°C – Ideal for green tea
- 85°C – Ideal for oolong tea
- 90°C – Ideal for fruit tea
- 95°C – Ideal for herbal tea/coffee
- 100°C – Ideal for black tea
START – Switch on/ off
KEEP WARM (keep hot) – Select temperature and then press to keep water
hot for 30 minutes approx
BEFORE INITIAL USE
ATTENTION
- There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful effects to your health, clean the device before you first use it (see “Cleaning and Care” ).
- Before using the kettle, remove all packaging materials and any labels that may be on the device and are used for protection during transportation or for advertising.
- Wipe the kettle with a clean, damp cloth. Attention! No water’ must get into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle! This could cause a short circuit.
- On the bottom of the base station (4), unwind the mains cable to the length you require. Then place the mains cable into the slot which is provided for it on the edge of the base station (4).
- Place the base station (4) on a dry, heat-resistant, flat surface a sufficient distance away from flammable objects.
- Plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket.
- Fill the kettle up to the MAX marking with drinking water and allow it to boil (see “Use”). Pour this water away and repeat the process twice. The kettle is now ready for operation!
ATTENTION
- Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the MIN marking. If this does happen the device switches off automatically. In this case allow the device to cool down before cold water is poured in and the device is used again.
- If you have not already done so place the base station on a dry, flat, solid and heat-resistant surface and plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket.
- Remove the kettle from the base station (4). Press the button for opening the lid (1) and open the lid (9). Pour drinking water into the kettle.
- Close the lid (9) and place the kettle on the base station (4).
- Select one of the following functions up. The boiling process can be aborted at any time by pressing the START button.
- Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and remove the kettle from the base station (4) so that you can pour the water carefully into an appropriate vessel. Keep the lid (9) closed while you pour the water! The kettle can be stored on the base station (4) when it is not being used. However, the mains plug must be pulled out of the plug socket.
A BOIL WATER:
- Press the START button. The device switches on and heats the water up to 100°C. The 100°C button flashes.
- B HEAT UP WATER.: If you do not want the water to boil but merely to be heated to a specific temperature, press the button for the temperature you want and then press the START button.The corresponding temperature button flashes. The device switches on and heats the water up to the set temperature.
C BOIL/ HEAT WATER AND KEEP IT HOT: Press the button for the temperature you want, the KEEP WARM button and then the START button. The device switches on and heats the water up to the temperature you want. The corresponding temperature button flashes. The device switches on and heats the water up to the set temperature. The heating function is then switched off but the device keeps the water hot for 30 minutes: The water is repeatedly reheated as soon as it starts to cool down. As long as the keep-hot function is activated, the KEEP WARM button is lit
CLEANING
ATTENTION
Beware of burns! Allow the device to cool completely before dealing it.

The danger of electric shock from water! Remove the mains plug from the mains socket before deaning the base station.

Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean the device. These can damage the surface. ” Wipe down the kettle on the outside (and If necessary the base
station (4) too) with a clean, damp cloth. Then wipe it dry. -
Keep the device ready to operate. You should regularly remove water limescale deposits with a descaling agent in accordance with the water quality in your area and how often the device is used. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling agent to descale the kettle.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself.Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself

Has the kettle been descaled previously? Rinse out the kettle with clear water
PLUG
- This appliance has been fitted with a BS UK compliant plug which should not be replaced or removed
- The plug is fitted with UK compliant fuse link which is suitable for this type of appliance and should only be replaced by a fuse link of the same rating
- If access to the fuse link is only possible by removing the plug cover this must only be done by a suitably qualified person.
- If the plug or the mains cable of this appliance is damaged do not use and dispose of the appliance responsibly.
- This appliance is earthed.
