Important
Please use a waterproof method of connection to the supply voltage if this device is to be used outdors. Consult qualified personnel if necessary.
Important remark for customers based in the UK
The wires of the mains cable have the following colbur indications: greenlyellow= EARTH; blue = NEUTRAL; brown= LIVE The colours of the wires in the mains cable of the CAMZWIRP may not correspond with the colour indicatons on the inside of the plug. Proceed as follows

  1. The green and yellow wire should be connected to the earthing terminal of the wall socket. The earthing terminal can be marked in one of four different ways: with the letter E, the earthing symbol, the colour green or the colours green and yellow.
  2. The blue wire should be connected to the terminal marked in black or marked by the letter N.
  3. The brown wire should be connected to the terminal marked in red or marked by the letter L.
  4. Applications The CAMZWIRP (range: 15m, IR viewing angle: 56°) is designed as a light source for a B/W CCD camera used for day and night surveillance. This device is equipped with a photosensitive CDS sensor that is activated automatically when the luminous intensity descends below 10lux. The sensor is automatically deactivated when the luminous intensity s> 10lux.
    • The LEDs have a life expectancy of approx. 6000 hours. They are not included in the warranty, however, because they are continuously activated/deactivated.
    • This device can be used both indoors and outdoors (IP33)

Suggestions

The CAMZWIRP’s low consumption makes it ideal for indoor use: we advise you to mount the device at max. 15m( 50ft) of the entrance, at an angle of max. 65°.

Installation Method

  • The mounting bracket is not included. It can be purchased separately.
  • The CAMZWIRP is weatherproof (P33) and very easy to install.

Installation Process

  • Step 1: Find a suitable mounting location for the CAMZWIRP.
  • Step 2: Adjust the viewing angle of the device.
  • Step 3: The tension of the wall socket should be identical to the input tension mentioned on the housing of the device.
  • Step 4: Connect the signal cable to the monitor.
  • Step 5: Do not leave the power cable lying about, someone might trip over it.
  • The CAMZWIRP should be mounted at a max. height of 3 to 4m (10 to 13ft). The device may lose some of its effectiveness if mounted too high.
  • Do not mount this device upside-down: the device might be damaged by water entering through the ventlation slots at the bottom.
  • Operation temperature: -20°C to +50°C.
  • Do not use the device if it is damaged or malfuncioning. Have the CAMZWIRP repaired by qualified personnel.
  • Do not try to remove a fixed power cord. Puling t too hard may cause damage to the device.
  • This device should be earthed.

How to Verify Whether the Device is on

  1. Make sure the power source is connected.
  2. By day you will have to cover the photosensitive CDS sensor (13 in figure on page 2) in order to check the operation  the 32 LEDs. If you listen closely, you may also hear the sound of the fan.
  3. You can always point the CAMZWIRP at the camera if the procedure above does not work. You should now be able to see the light of the LEDs on the monitor.

Replacing the PCB (qualified personnel only !)

  1. Make sure the power source is disconnected.
  2. Loosen the 3 front cover fixing screws and remoe the front cover.
  3. You may need to use a pair of pliers to remove he rail. This will make it easy to remove the PCB’s power connector.
  4. Use the needle nose pliers again to remove the power connector of the LED and the photosensitive sensor.
  5. Loosen the screws for fixing the LED PCB and the rail.
  6. Remove the LED PCB and the CCD camera.
  7. Insert a new PCB with 32 LEDs and repeat steps 1 through 5 in reverse order :543-21.
    • Do not remove the rubber seal of the front or back panel in order to protect the device against moisture or water.

Cleaning the Device

Disconnect the power cord before cleaning the device. Use a dry and clean cloth and do not apply abrasives or solvents to the device.
