SAFETY WARNINGS AND GUIDELINES
Please read this entire manual before using this device, paying extra attention to these safety warnings and guidelines. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive volume levels, which could cause hearing damage. Reduce the volume to minimum before using this speaker, then increase the volume to a comfortable listening level.
- Do not expose this device to excessively high temperatures. Do not place it in, on, or near a heat source, such as a fireplace, stove, radiator, etc. Do not leave it in direct sunlight.
- This device contains a Lithium battery. Dispose of this device only in accordance with local, state, or federal regulations for electronic waste.
- Charge the battery before first use and at least once every three months to keep it fresh and capable of holding the full charge.
- Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water.
- This device has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or modify this device.

BATTERY CHARGING
The speaker will emit a beep every couple of seconds when the battery charge level is low. When it does, perform the following steps to charge the battery.
- If the speaker is powered on, press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn the speaker off.
- Plug one end of the included Micro USB Charging Cable into the Micro USB Charging Port on the speaker, then plug the other end into a wall charger, power bank, computer, or other USB power source (not included).
- The Volume-/Previous Track Button, Pause/Phone Button, and Volume+/Next Track Button will sequentially indicate the current charge level. When all three buttons are fully illuminated, the battery is fully charged. Note that a full charge can take up to 4 hours.
BLUETOOTH PAIRING
- When the speaker is first powered on, it will attempt to reconnect to a previously paired device. If that device is powered off or out of range, the speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth® pairing mode. If the speaker is connected to a device and you want to connect a different device, press and hold the Bluetooth Button for 2 seconds to disconnect the first device and put the speaker in Bluetooth pairing mode.
- With the speaker in Bluetooth® pairing mode, open the Bluetooth settings on your device and scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Locate and select the MP43247 entry. If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000 (four zeros).
Note : that if no device is connected within 10 minutes of initiating Bluetooth pairing mode, the speaker will exit Bluetooth pairing mode.
BASIC OPERATION
- With the speaker powered off, press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn the speaker on.
- With the speaker powered on, press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn the speaker off.
- With no audio playing, momentarily press the Pause/Phone Button to start audio playback.
- With audio playing, momentarily press the Pause/Phone Button to pause audio playback.
- When an incoming call is received, momentarily press the Pause/Phone Button to answer the call.
- With a call in progress, momentarily press the Pause/Phone Button to hang up.
- If your device does not have Bluetooth® or if you do not want to use Bluetooth, you can listen to audio using a physical connection. Plug one end of the included 3.5mm Audio Cable in to the 3.5mm Audio Jack on the speaker, then plug the other end into the headphone jack or other output on your audio source device.
TRUE WIRELESS STEREO MODE
If you have two 43247 speakers, you can connect them together to form a stereo
pair for true stereo audio playback by performing the following steps.
- Ensure that neither speaker is connected to a Bluetooth® device and that both speakers are powered off.
- Power on both speakers, then touch the two of them together on the side opposite the 3.5mm Audio Jack and Micro USB Charging Port. The speakers will automatically connect to each other and an audio tone will be heard. The Bluetooth Button on one speaker will blink and will illuminate solid on the other speaker, indicating that TrueWireless™ Stereo Mode is active.
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device and scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Locate and select the MP43247 entry. If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000 (four zeros).
- To break the TrueWireless Stereo Mode connection, touch the two speakers together again on the side opposite the 3.5mm Audio Jack and Micro USB Charging Port.
- While TrueWireless Stereo Mode is active, press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds on one of the speakers to turn both speakers off.
