BEFORE USE

Congratulations on your new Heat Experience Heated Hybrid Jacket Before you start using it, there are some things you should know.

The battery should be fully charged before first use, or after a long period of no use (2 months or more).
Charge the battery by connecting it to a charger. Do not charge unattended.

The heat can be adjusted either using the button, or our app. To download the Heat Experience Remote App, scan the qr-code on the back of this document, or visit https://heatexperience.no/app/

We recomend that you get to know how the product works before you head out on longer adventures.

GETTING STARTED

Open the zipper on the powerbank pocket, placed on the inside.
Connect the powerbank to the cable before inserting it into the pocket. Close the pocket zipper.
Note: Do not turn the powerbank on before connecting, this will possibly lead to the power switching off after a few minutes.

Press and hold the power button for ~5 seconds, until the light turns on. The heating system goes directly to boost mode, which is the warmest heating level. Press the button to switch between the four heating levels. The white blinking light indicates the system is ready for bluetooth connection.

The heating level can also be adjusted using our app, which gives you even more possibilities to fine-tune the heat, and a broader range of adjustment. Download and open the app, activate bluetooth on your phone, then select “add new product”. Note that location services needs to be activated to use the app. The app will not collect or save any personal data.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Before washing the garment, remember to remove the powerbank and add the protection cap to the usb cable.
Follow the instructions on the care label, to ensure maxiumum lifespan of your heated product.
Hang dry the garment. Remove the protection cap after washing to let the connection dry properly before use.

Allow to dry after use, and store the product disconnected from powerbank and charger. Charge powerbank to about 50% for long term storage. Allow product to cool down before storing.

A spare powerbank is a good idea if you use your product for prolonged time, remember to keep the extra powerbank at a temperature as close to room temperature as possible. A cold powerbank will have reduced output.

CAUTION

Keep out of high temperatures. The polymer lithium battery may explode or be damged if exposed to high temperatures or fire.
Do not charge unattended, use only original charger. Disconnect charger after use.
Battery may explode if disposed of in fire.
Do not crush or dissasemble.
All components should be recycled in according to local laws and regulations.
Keep the heated garment away from children – not to be used by very young children (0-3 years). Not to be used by children over the age of three, unless the controls have been pre set by a guardian, or unless the child is adequately instructed on how to operate the controls safely.
Should not be used by users unable to feel changes in temperature. If you experience any signs of burns or discomfort, please check product before further use.
This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals
Always disconnect battery when not in use.
When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down beforehand.
Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the appliance has been misused or does not work, stop using the product and contact the supplier for further information.
Do not insert pins.
Electronic Equipment are known to interfere with avalanche beacon reception. Switch off while searching. Read your beacon instructions for more information.

This product is designed to work with powerbanks with 9V
PowerDelivery (PD) compatability. Any other type of powerbank
might cause a lower temperature output, or no function at all.
The duration and given temperature will vary depending on ambient temperature and conditions.

OPERATION WITH APP

By using the Heat Experience app, you can take full control over your heating system. The app will allow you to fine tune the temperature to your needs, and also gives you the possibility to maximize the run time by lowering the output below what is possible using the power button.
Using the app the temperature can be adjusted from approximately 50°C to 20°C. At the lowest output this will give you operating times over 10 hours, given reasonable circumstances.
