INSOLE OVERVIEW

BEFORE USE

Congratulations on your new Heat Experience Heated Insoles. Before you start using them there are some things you should know.

The Heated Insoles must be fully charged before first use, or after a long period (2 months or more) of no use. Charge the soles by connecting each sole to the USB cable, and connecting it to the power supply. Do not charge unattended. When the red light is on, charging is ongoing. If the pink light is flashing, go to “Maintainance and use” for more information. Charging takes about 3-4 hours, When charging is complete, the red light turns off, and a blue light turns on. Pair your insoles to the remote (3) before installing them in your shoes. For the best effect, turn on the heat before you get cold. We recommend that you test and get to know your heated insoles before heading out for greater adventures!

QUICK TIPS

  1. If possible, turn on the insoles while indoors (in a warmer environment), this will help to protect the battery against getting cold and prolong the battery life.
  2. Insoles can be tailored to your size, within the cutlines marked on the sole. Do not cut inside the inner marked line, this can result in damaging the heating system. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.
  3. Remember to remove the shoes’ original insoles before inserting the Heat Experience Heated insoles.

USE, MANUAL MODE

The soles can be used both in manual mode or with the remote.
Manual mode:
While the sole is off, press the button to switch it to the highest temperature mode (III). If done correctly, the red light will turn on. Press the button again to switch to medium temperature mode (II). In this mode, both the red and blue light will be on simultaneously. Press the button again to switch to low-temperature mode (I). In this mode, only the blue light will be on. Push once more, and the sole will turn off. (no light).

USE, REMOTE CONTROL MODE

3.1) For first-time use, or if the soles have been turned off manually, you have to turn on the soles manually for the remote to work. (see 2)
3.2) Test that the insoles are responding to the remote before installing the insole in shoes. If everything is working, the controller will flash when pushed, and the insole will respond according to the buttons on the remote. The remote range is 5m.
If you experience the unsteady connection between the remote and insole, it is probably a low battery on the remote. It might help to hold the button for a longer time (~2sec). If this doesn’t help, you probably need to change the battery in the remote.

There are four buttons on the control;

| – Low temperature setting
– Medium temperature setting
– High temperature setting
– Turn the sole off
---|---

USE, PAIRING OF REMOTE

If you have trouble with the remote, you might have to pair or repair it to the insoles:
Press and hold the button on the insoles, until the light flashes. – Soles are now in pairing mode.
Push any button on the remote, the light on the sole will now stop blinking.
Your soles and the remote are now paired.
If the steps above are not working – check for the following:
Ensure the soles are fully charged.
Ensure the soles are turned on to activate the system.
Ensure that the remote has a battery (If the remote works, a red light flashes from the top when any button on the remote is pressed).
If all of the above are working, retry the pairing process.

MAINTENANCE AND USE

To clean your insoles, use a cloth and wipe them off. The insoles are not waterproof. The insoles should be changed every 2 to 3 months if not in use, to prolong life. If the soles have been drained for battery, and the light flashes when charging, they need a reset. Go to this link for more help: faq.heatx.eu For long-term storage, charge the insoles to about 50%, and for every 3-4 months discharge and recharge to 50%. Store in a cool and dry place, between 5°C/41°F to 20°C/68°F

You can charge the insoles with any 5v USB chargers, including power banks.
Do not charge unattended.
Do not excessively bend the insoles. This may cause damage to the heating elements.
Be careful when installing the insoles in your shoes.
Only air dry the insoles. Do not place on radiators or other hot surfaces.
Users of heated insoles need to be aware of early sensations of a burn, including when an area of the foot becomes hot.
If you feel early warnings of a foot burn, immediately discontinue use of the insoles, and make sure your foot is not at risk of being burned.

CAUTION

Do not wash or soak insoles. The insoles contain a built-in circuit. Water or other fluids could damage or short circuit the electronics.
If the insoles get soaked, make sure they are dry before turning them on. DO not dry on high heat. Wet insoles should be dried completely before turning on.
Keep out of high temperatures. The built-in polymer lithium battery may explode or be damaged if exposed to high temperatures or fire.
May explode if disposed of in fire.
Do not crush or disassemble.
Avoid high pressure (pressure should not exceed 250 kg).
All components should be recycled according to local laws and regulations.
Keep insoles away from children. Should not be used by users unable to feel changes in temperature.
Inspect the appliance, including the charger and cables for signs of damage. If such signs are present, please stop using the product, and contact Heat Experience for further instructions.
