Unplug the refrigerator and check wiring connections between the freezer temperature sensor and the electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires. The meter should measure 84,925 ohms if the sensor temperature is 0 degrees, 32,566 ohms at 32 degrees and 11,304 ohms at 72 degrees (room temperature). Check/Repair

Unplug the refrigerator and check the evaporator fan wire harness connection in the freezer. Reconnect the wire harness plug if it’s loose. If the wire harness connection in the freezer is okay, check the evaporator fan wire connections to the electronic control board (brown/white, blue/white and yellow/white wires on J4A and red/white wire on J4B). If the wiring connections are okay, replace the evaporator fan. If the problem continues, replace the electronic control board.

SY CE or SY CF| Communications failure between the electronic control board and user interface|

Check/Repair

Unplug the refrigerator and check the wire harness connections between the user interface and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are okay, replace the electronic control board. If the problem continues, replace the user interface.

How do you reset the code on a Frigidaire refrigerator?

To try and clear the SY CE error code the easiest way, try  unplugging your Frigidaire Refrigerator for 15 minutes.   After 15 minutes plug the refrigerator back in. This may have reset the control board and cleared the error code.

What does error code H1 mean on a Frigidaire refrigerator?

One such error code that Frigidaire fridges display is H1. The H1 error code means that  the freezer sensor has shorted. To fix the underlying cause of the problem, you need to check the thermistor and if it’s defective, replace it.

What does error code SY EF mean on a Frigidaire refrigerator?

Then the sound was gone, but the refrigerator was bad to freeze and appeared error code SY EF. This code means that  it is not cold enough inside the freezer. After the inspection, it was found that the blades of the Evaporator fan are blocked by ice and the circulation of cold air inside does not occur.

Can you reset a refrigerator by unplugging it?

I have a 3 yr old Frigidaire refrigerator with a temperature control board that is not working. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. How can I check the board?

If you’re not getting any power to the board, then you’ll need to check for power at the plug going into the board. You can do this by using a volt meter. Set the meter to read volts DC and put one probe on one of the terminals on the plug and touch the other probe to each of the other terminals on the plug. If you get voltage reading on any of those terminals, then you know that there is power getting to that plug and that it is not a problem with the harness going from that plug to the board.
If you don’t get any voltage readings, then you’ll need to trace back from where that harness goes into your refrigerator and check for continuity there. The harness should go into a connector block inside your refrigerator, so check continuity between each wire in that harness and each terminal in that connector block. If there is no continuity between any wire in that harness and any terminal in that connector block, then you’ll need to replace either your harness or your connector block (or both).
If you do have continuity between at least one wire in that harness and one terminal in that connector block, then trace back from where those wires go into your refrigerator until you find where they connect to something else. At that point, unplug whatever it is they connect to and use your multimeter again to test for continuity between each wire in your harness and each terminal on whatever it was you unplugged. If there is no continuity between any wire in your harness and any terminal on whatever it was you unplugged, then you’ll need to replace whatever it was you unplugged (or at least its harness).
If there is continuity between at least one wire in your harness and at least one terminal on whatever it was you unplugged, then trace back from where those wires go into whatever it was they connected to until you find where they connect to something else. At that point, unplug whatever it is they connect to and use your multimeter again to test for continuity between each wire in your harness and each terminal on whatever it was you unplugged.
If there is no continuity between any wire in your harness and any terminal on whatever it was you unplugged, then you’ll need to replace whatever it was you unplugged (or at least its harness).

Why is my Frigidaire refrigerator not cooling?
