Connect to Electrical Power

Connect to a Modem
Connect the white network cable to the “WAN” socket on the FRITZ! Box and to a LAN socket on a cable modem or DSL modem, or to a router with an integrated DSL modem.

Wi-Fi Connection

Smartphone

Scan the QR code and establish the Wi-Fi connection directly.
Open the Wi-Fi settings of your smartphone, and select the Wi-Fi network of your FRITZ! Box 4060, and establish the connection with the Wi-Fi password.

Computer

Click on the Wi-Fi icon on your computer screen
- in the taskbar on Windows computers.
- in the menu bar on Apple computers.
Select the Wi-Fi network of your FRITZ! Box, and use the Wi-Fi network key to establish a Wi-Fi connection.

Register a Cordless Telephone

Switch on the telephone.
Start the registration process on the telephone.
Enter the PIN of the FRITZ! Box. The preconfigured PIN is 0000.
Push the Connect button on the FRITZ! Box until the Connect LED starts flashing.

The telephone is registered.

Select the Internet Connection

Internet router or cable modem: If you connected the FRITZ! Box with an internet router or cable modem, it will use this device’s internet connection. You can surf the web without making any further settings.
SL or fiber optic modem: If you connected the FRITZ! Box with a DSL or fiber optic modem, it has to be configured for the internet connection. Continue reading under “Configure Internet Access”.

Configure Internet Access

Enter http://fritz.box in a web browser. The user interface of the FRITZ! Box appears.
Enter the password for the FRITZ! Box. You can find the FRITZ! Box password on your FRITZ! Notes and on the bottom of your FRITZ!Box.
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. The internet connection is established.
