This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.
If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.
The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

  • If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
  • In case of incorrect connection, e.g., electrical voltage that is too high.
  • In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
  • In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
  • In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
  • If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier/manufacturer.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:

  • Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • farm houses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.

  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 16 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 16 and supervised.

  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 16 years.

  • All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or its after sales service.

  • Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.

ELECTRICAL WARNINGS

  • In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or a separate remote control, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
  • The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn controls to “OFF” or “0” position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.
  • Check carefully that the voltage and frequency of the power net match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.
  • The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local standards and requirements.
  • Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don’t cover the appliance.
  • Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord. Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.
  • The appliance may not be used with an extension lead or a multiple socket.
  • Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the DOMO Service Department or its service agent for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.

INSTALLATION

  • Do not place near flammable materials, gases or explosives.
  • Do not use or store this appliance outdoors.
  • Always use the appliance on a steady, dry and level surface.
  • Never place this appliance near a gas stove or electrical stove or in a place where it may come into contact with a warm appliance.

USE

  • Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
  • Only use the appliance for domestic use. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for accidents that result from improper use of the appliance or not following the instructions described in this manual.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning.
  • Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
  • The use of accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause fire, electrical shock or injuries. Only use the utensils delivered with the appliance.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
  • Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC WARNINGS

  • Do not insert any objects into the fan, as this may cause electric shock, injuries or damage to the appliance. Do not block or tamper with the fan when it is operating.
  • Do not use this fan in any wet or humid areas. Do not place the fan too close to a bath tub or any other water container.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
  • Carefully remove the device from the packaging. Remove any promotional stickers.
  • Clean the outside of the device with a soft damp cloth.
USE

Insert the plug into a power socket and insert the other end of the adapter into the connection point of the air cooler. A beep indicates that the device is in standby mode. You can control the fan from the control panel. Each time a button is pressed, the device emits an audible signal. The desired setting appears on the display.

ON/OFF: ON/OFF BUTTON
Press this button to turn the device on or off. The latest configuration will be applied automatically when the device is turned back on.

MODE: MODE KNOB
This button allows you to configure three functions: ventilation, natural and sleep mode.

Ventilation
Press the button once to activate ventilation. A symbol appears on the display to indicate that this setting is activated. This setting allows for 6 speed configurations. Each press of the speed settings button will increase the speed. The selected speed appears on the display. The fan will maintain a constant speed in accordance with the speed configuration.

Natural
Press the mode knob twice to activate the natural mode. A symbol **** appears on the display to indicate that this mode is activated. It is not possible to select a speed in this function, the display shows ‘1’. The fan simulates a natural breeze.

Sleep mode
Press the mode knob three times to activate sleep mode. A symbol **** appears on the display to indicate that this mode is activated. It is not possible to select a speed in this function, the display shows ‘1’. The fan distributes a constant light breeze.

SWING: OSCILLATION BUTTON
Press the oscillation button to rotate the vertical air vent left to right in order to distribute the air. The associated symbol **** appears on the display. Press this button again to deactivate the function.

HUMIDIFIER/COOLER
The air cooler can also be used as a humidifier. This is recommended if the air in your home is very dry. Press the humidifier/cooler button to activate this function. The associated symbol ****appears on the display. The water pump transports water to the honeycomb water filter in order to generate a cool air flow. Press this button again to deactivate the function. Make sure the water reservoir contains water before activating this function. In order to do this, follow the steps below.

1. Place the 2 refrigerating elements with water in the freezer until completely frozen. Attention: never open the refrigerating elements to prevent potential damage.
2. Make sure the water pump is attached to the unit correctly (A).
3. Place 1 or 2 cooling elements in the water reservoir. The water temperature will remain around 6°C lower than room temperature for around 4 hours, ensuring a chilled air flow. The 2 refrigerating elements are reusable. Alternatively, add ice cubes instead of the refrigerating elements, they will have a chilling effect as well.
4. Fill the water reservoir with clean water (B). When filling the water reservoir, make sure the water is between the minimum and maximum levels (see level indicator on side of water reservoir) for the unit to work properly.
5. Close the water reservoir (C).

6. The water level can be checked during use via the water level indicator on the front of the unit.

TIMER: TIMER
You can set the timer between 1 and 8 hours. Press the timer button. The associated symbol ****appears on the display. Each press of the button increases the timer by one hour. Once the configured time has passed, the device will deactivate automatically.

DELAYED START
The unit can be pre-set to start after a maximum of 8 hours. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Press and hold the timer button for a few seconds when the unit is in standby mode.
  2. The symbol for the timer will light up. Set the desired time (max. 8 hours).
  3. Set the desired settings.
  4. The unit will start after the pre-set time has elapsed and will use the chosen settings.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
  • Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance.
  • For optimal and hygienic use, clean the water reservoir once a week. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the water reservoir from the unit. Do this by gently pressing the two sides of the reservoir when it no longer slides out. Loosen the water pump by turning it a quarter turn clockwise. The reservoir can now be removed and cleaned thoroughly.
2. Clean using mild detergent and water. Empty the water reservoir, dry it off and return it to the unit.
3. Make sure the water pump is attached correctly and there is water in the reservoir before using the unit again.

  • Clean the outside of the device with a soft damp cloth.
  • Never use chemical, abrasive, or corrosive cleaning products.
  • Remove the water from the water reservoir before storing the unit.
  • Clean the honeycomb filter once a week if the environment is prone to dirt and dust. For best possible use, replace the honeycomb filter every 3-6 months. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Open the air inlet with filter/fan.
2. To remove the honeycomb filter holder from the unit, first press the lock down and pull the filter towards you.
3. Take the honeycomb filter from the holder by pushing out the two locks at the back and removing the filter from the holder in an upward motion.DOMO

4. Wash the filter in slightly soapy water, using a soft cloth. Rinse the filter thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Allow the filter to dry for at least 4 hours,
5. then place the honeycomb filter back into the holder and slide both into the unit.
6. Close the air inlet.
