Powering up the camera

This camera can run in either:

• USB-2 mode
• WiFi mode

1. Connecting the camera to the 5V power supply, using the micro USB cable, will put the camera into WiFi mode
2. Connecting the camera to a PC, using the micro USB cable, will put the camera into USB-2 (PC) mode

Please note: the camera cannot run in both ways simultaneously. The WiFi LED indicator will light up if the camera is running in WiFi mode.

In USB-2 mode:

• Install the lmager Focus Alpha software on your PC
• Connect the micro USB cable to computer. Wait for the camera to start up
• Start lmager Focus Alpha software. The camera will be recognized automatically by the software
• In lmager Focus Alpha software, select the corresponding camera name by clicking the camera name in the camera list. For use of lmager Focus Alpha please refer to the dedicated lmager Focus Alpha manual

In WiFi mode:

• Install the image Focus Alpha software on your PC or install the image Focus Alpha App on the mobile device
• Connect the micro USB cable to SV power adapter
• Connect the PC or mobile device to the WiFi network of the camera (see instruction on next pages)
• Start the image Focus Alpha software or Image Focus Alpha App. Active WiFi cameras are automatically recognized. The connected camera(s) will be listed in the Camera List group of the Camera Control Bar of image Focus Alpha PC software. On mobile devices, connected cameras will be listed in the Camera Thumbnail page of Image Focus Alpha App
• Click the corresponding camera to start the stream

Connecting to the camera’s WiFi network

The first step that needs to be taken on any device is connecting to the WiFi camera’s own network. This means you will need to disconnect from your standard WiFi network. The instructions for this are shown below.

After connection to the camera’s WiFi network please refer to the dedicated image Focus alpha manual for use with PC, and dedicated manuals for the app’s. The IOS app can be downloaded from the app store, for Android a download is available on the www.euromex.com download section

Connect to WiFi with Windows 10/11

1. On your desktop, click the network icon in bottom right-hand corner of your screen. This will bring up a list of available connections (A)
2. Find the name (SSID) of the CMEX WiFi network and click on it
3.  Ensure connect automatically is checked and then click connect
4. Enter your WiFi password. Standard password is: 12345678
5. Click OK to finish. Your computer should remember your password for you from now on

Connect to WiFi with Windows 7/ 8

1. Open the desktop (view) (B)
2. Click the network icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. This will bring up a list of available network connections (C)
3. Find the name (SSID) of your CMEX WiFi network and click on it (D)
4. Ensure connect automatically is checked and then click the connect button
5. Enter your WiFi password, and then click OK to finish. Your computer should remember your password for you from now on. Standard password is: 12345678 (El)

Connect to WiFi with MAC os

Connect using the AirPort0/WiFi menu

1. On the desktop, click the AirPort/WiFi icon then select the CMEX WiFi name (SSID) you want to connect to (F)
2. When required, enter the CMEX WiFi password then click join. Standard password is: 12345678 (G)
