Software installation

System Configuration Recommendation

Connect the camera to the PC

Insert the USB stick (or CD) learned with the camera, copy the software “ImageFocus Plus V2 Setup.exe” to the computer. Double click on it and follow the [Next] button to complete the installation. After [complete], a created a software shortcut on the desktop

Go to Device Manager and check if the driver is installed correctly

  • If there is NO YELLOW FLAG near the camera below
  • Imaging devices in Device Manager, it is driver installed successfully
  • If there is a YELLOW FLAG, you need to install the driver reinstall

Double click the ImageFocus Plus V2 shortcut to launch the software

When the software is run, the current frame rate is displayed in the exposure control

The software version number

Camera model and the computer configuration information is obtained from the information in the info menu at the top right of the software
Note : If the camera is connected correctly, the camera device will automatically recognize and enter the preview status when the software is enabled. If you get the “No camera” error, it could be that the camera is not detected by the PC or that the driver is not installed correctly. Go to Device Manager to check camera driver installation status

Software Settings

Basic settings

  1. Click the Resolution drop-down list to select the working resolution.
  2. Display and view the frame rate of the live preview
  3. View the preview screen and select the automatic or manual exposure setting according to the actual application requirements to obtain the desired image intensity
  4. Depending on the application requirements, adjust the gain value to meet the requirement to obtain image signal enhancement effect

Image Adjustment

  1. Move the sample under the objective to an evenly lit position with no features (blank) to to set the white balance, and then check the [Lock White Balance] option. This allows the camera do not perform automatic white balance recalculation, which would result in chromatic aberration

  2. After selecting [Gray), the preview screen will change to black and white mode

  3. When the preview has a blurry effect, adjust [Permeability) to restore the clear image

  4. If the preview image has dead pixels and color points, apply [DPC] the dead correction function pixels to effectively eliminate dead pixels to remove to get a cleaner image to obtain.

  5. If the light source is not uniform or if the sample image has dirty marks, used the Flat Field Calibration Wizard] option to the default background of the image to correct and achieve greater uniformity to obtain

  6. Check [Save image enhancement) to perform detail improvement and noise reduction to get the desired picture effects to obtain. This function is only effective when image capture is saved and real-time effect preview not is supported
    Note : Support CMEX-f series cameras with no color temperature, tint, light, transmittance, and image enhancement

  7. RGB channel selection, view the grayscale map from different channels

  8. [Auto Minj&[Auto Max acquires automatically the pixel values ​​of the darkest and brightest evenly distributed intervals. (A channel does not support automatic color gradation)

  9. Correctly adjust the gamma value, change the brightness value of the grayscale from the image and increase the layering of a monochrome image

Capture image

  1. Select [Use dialog box;: the software will open the dialog box to select the photo save path, to set the photo name and size when taking pictures
  2. Select [Use File Name): file will be saved with the name “TS” as default, but the name can be customized “Custom Name + Timestamp” becomes supported. A name can contain up to 64 bytes contain
  3. File Format: Support JPG \TIF\ PNG 1DICOM, defaults to TIF and can be checked at the same time, but there should be at least one be chosen
  4. Under the default name, it becomes an image file saved in a file directory specified which is defined by default [Path]; user can change the save path via [Browse]
  5. The video offers two encoding modes: Compression] and [Full frame (no compression). [Full frame (no compression)] is selected by default
  6. Select [Auto Stopl, the recording mode is available in [Total Frames and [Total Timel. [Total Frames] is selected by default. Deselect [Auto Stop], user can manually click to stop the current video recording to stop
  7. [Hard Drive]| While capturing images, the function will automatically transfer the data to the disc to write. This is suitable for long-term shooting. [RAM] Store the data in the computer memory; after capturing the image, write the data to a disk file. This is limited by size of memory space, so this mode is not suitable for long-term image capture

Precautions

Caution

  1. Do not disassemble, repair or modify yourself. Otherwise will damage the camera chip or devices on the circuit board
  2. Do not let the camera get wet, as this can cause malfunctions, such as corrosion of the circuit board, burn out and so on.
  3. Avoid physical shock such as falls or bumps.
  4. Disconnect the data cable and ask Euromex
  5. Microscopes or the authorized reseller for repair.

Note : Man-made damage including self-disassembly, water ingress, Tysieke shock, etc., is not covered by the warranty

Maintenance

  1. Do not remove the lens cap in a dusty environment
  2. When removing the lens cap or mounting a lens, hold the camera down to prevent dust falls on the sensor surface
  3. When the camera is not in use, the lens cap must be mounted
  4. Use a professional dust remover to remove dust from the camera’s optical filter. If dust gets on the filter, it should be removed with low pressure air. In case of stubborn oily dust, the surface can be gently wiped with a lint-free cotton swab dipped in ethanol
  5. If it still can’t be cleaned, please contact the – after-sales department for assistance. The use of non-professional equipment for cleaning may scratch the surface filter surface
  6. Use only the original power adapter. Make sure that the adapter and its cables are free of objects that can cause damage. If the power adapter is damaged, please contact the supplier for immediate replacement
