Miele STB 101 Mini Handheld Turbobrush
Warning and Safety instructions
- This Turbobrush complies with current safety requirements. Inappropriate use can, however, lead to personal injury and damage to property.
- To avoid the risk of accidents and damage, please read these instructions and those of the vacuum cleaner carefully before using for the first time.
- Keep these instructions in a safe place and ensure that new users are familiar with the content. Pass them on to any future owner.
- Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the mains supply when you have finished using it, before changing over accessories, as well as for maintenance work and cleaning. Switch the vacuum cleaner off at the wall socket and unplug it.
Correct application
The Turbobrush must only be used for household pur-
poses to vacuum and brush dry floor surfaces. Do not use on people or animals.
Any other use, modification or alteration to the Turbobrush is not permitted.
The vacuum cleaner and Turbobrush can only be used
by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience or knowledge, if they are supervised whilst using them or have been
shown how to use them in a safe way and understand and recognise the
consequences of incorrect operation.
Safety with children
- The danger of suffocation. Packaging, e.g. plastic wrap- pings, must be kept out of the reach of babies and children. Whilst playing, children could become entangled in packaging or pull it over their head and suffocate.
- Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the vacuum cleaner and Turbobrush unless they are constantly supervised.
- Children 8 years and older may only use the vacuum cleaner and Turbobrush unsupervised if they have been shown how to use them safely and recognize and understand the consequences of incorrect operation.
- Children must not be allowed to clean or maintain the vacuum cleaner and Turbobrush unsupervised.
- Please supervise children in the vicinity of the vacuum cleaner and Turbobrush and do not let them play with them.
Technical safety
- Before using the Turbobrush, check for any visible signs of damage. Do not use a damaged Turbobrush.
- Do not immerse the Turbobrush in water. Clean all parts with a dry or slightly damp cloth only.
Correct use
- Never touch the Electrobrush while it is rotating.
- Do not use the Turbobrush at head level.
- Keep the Turbobrush away from curtains, clothing, scarves etc.
- Do not use the Turbobrush to vacuum hard surfaces such as furniture doors, wood or stone flooring.
- Do not vacuum up any inflammable or combustible li- quids or gases and do not vacuum in areas where such substances are stored.
- Do not vacuum any surfaces where there is a danger of items being sucked up or becoming entangled in the roller brush.
- Do not vacuum up any water, liquid or damp dirt. Wait until any freshly cleaned or shampooed carpets or floor coverings are completely dry before attempting to vacuum.
- Do not vacuum up anything which has been burning or is still glowing e.g. cigarettes, ashes or coal, whether glow-ing or apparently extinguished.

Turbobrush features
The Turbobrush is operated by the suc-tion power of the vacuum cleaner. It has
a rotating roller brush which is very effective at vacuuming up thread, hair
and fluff. Recommended use (dia. 01)
When using the Turbobrush please also observe the warning and safety instructions in your vacuum cleaner instruction manual. This Turbobrush is particularly suitable for vacuuming upholstery, mattresses, car seats and carpeted stairs. It is also important to observe the flooring manufacturer’s cleaning and care instructions.
Fitting the Turbobrush

Connect the Turbobrush to the handle or suction tube on your vacuum cleaner depending on how you wish to use it.
Using the Turbobrush -
To achieve the best effect, pass the Turbobrush slowly backward and forwards over the surface being vacuumed.
Maintenance
Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical supply for cleaning and maintenance work on the Turbobrush. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug it.
Removing threads and hairs (dia. 02 -04)
- Cut any threads or hairs that have become entangled on the roller brush with a pair of scissors (dia. 02). Then run the vacuum cleaner to vacuum up the bits.For more obstinate tangles or blockages inside the Turbobrush, the cover can be opened. Any large particles can then be easily removed (dia. 03).
- Twist the connector until the release button is located in the center of the slot
- Then press release button and pull the connector away from the Tur-bobrush
- Open up the brush compartment as far as you can and then remove any stubborn soiling from the compartment interior and from the roller brush (dia. 04).
- Finally, close the cover to the brush compartment and push the connector back into position over the release button.
