SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Dear Customer, if you follow the recommendations contained in this Instruction Manual, our appliance will give you constant high performance and will remain efficient for many years to come. Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
General Safety Instructions
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
- WARNING: In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
- If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent.
- Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
- Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
- Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
- This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.
- This appliance is for household use only.

SPECIFIC SAFEGUARDS
- To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug.
- Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
- Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
- Never use the appliance if the tank shows any signs of cracks. Only use the tank with this appliance. Use carefully as the tank is very fragile.
- Never use your coffee maker without water in it.
- Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
- CAUTION: The surface can remain hot during or after use.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
To ensure the first cup of coffee tastes excellent, you should rinse the coffee maker with warm water as follows:

Fill the water tank with fresh clear water taking care not to exceed MAX level and close the lid of water tank.
Note: Appliance is supplied with removable water tank for easy cleaning, you can fill tank with water first and, then, place tank on the appliance. -
Place S.S. filter in filter holder (without coffee powder in filter).

Place a jar or cup on the removable tray. Ensure that the steam knob is in OFF position. Note: Appliance doesn’t include jar or cup, use your own one.

Plug appliance to mains, press button POWER the indicator light will flash. Wait until the indicator light doesn’t flash.

When the POWER indicator light doesn’t flash, it means preheating is complete. Press MANUAL to water starts circulating.

Filling the jar 2-3 times, the cleaning process is finished and you can brew coffee.
FILLING OF WATER TANK
- Open water tank lid and remove tank pulling up.
- Fill in tank with freshwater taking care not to exceed the MAX level. Replace water tank, pressing lightly to open the valve located on the bottom of the tank.
- More simply, water tank can filled without removing it, just opening lid and pouring water directly from a jug.
BASIC USE OF THE COFFEE MAKER PREHEATING COFFEE MAKER

Open the tank lid and fill it with enough quantity of water. Water quantity should not exceed the maximum level and not be lower than the MIN level.
Warning: in case of no water in the tank, the use of the machine will affect the service life of the pump. Please add water in time when the water level is below MIN level. -
Plug the coffee maker into the mains and press the POWER button. While it flashes, the coffee maker is preheating. At this moment buttons, DOUBLE SINGLE y MANUAL don’t work if you press them. When the light is on, the coffee maker is ready to brew coffee. To stop preheating, press again POWER button. Place the filter you need in filter holder, put it in coffee maker from the “Insert” position, and turn right to “Locked” position. Place coffee cup below filter-holder and when coffee maker is ready press MANUAL button for 5-10 seconds to purge coffee maker. Discard the water of the cup.
MAKE AN ESPRESSO COFFEE

Place filter in filter-holder. Fill filter with coffee powder (7-10 gr.) and distribute and compact it a bit with spoon/tamper.

Place filter-holder in coffee maker from “Insert” position, turn right until “Locked” position”.

Leave the cup below filter holder and press the POWER button to start preheating process.

Once the coffee maker is ready (the indicator light doesn’t flash) press the SINGLE button depending on kind of coffee you want to brew (for 1 cup of italian espresso we recommend

With SINGLE y DOUBLE buttons, coffee maker will stop automatically because they are a pre-programmed function. If you want a specific quantity of coffee press the MANUAL button, then you can stop coffee brew when you desire, pressing again MANUAL button.
Notice: we recommend pay attention to the coffee maker while it is working to avoid any problems. -
When you finish of brewing coffee, leave the coffee maker cools down for 5 minutes and then you will be able to remove filter holder and throw coffee waste.

We recommend you clean filter and filter-holder after each use with fresh water to avoid obstruction. You can clean main body and drip tray with damp cloth.
Description of functions
- DOUBLE: coffee maker will stop automatically after 40 seconds.
- SINGLE: coffee maker will stop automatically after 20 seconds.
- MANUAL: In manual mode, the coffee maker has to be stopped by user, it will work for 80 seconds at most.
- When you don’t use coffee maker, it will turn off after 20 minutes with no use.
Amend programming of SINGLE DOUBLE: programming of these modes can be amended by user. Initial program is 20 seconds for function SINGLE and 40 seconds for DOUBLE. If you want to change them, do as follow: hold pressed the SINGLE or DOUBLE button for 3 seconds, release and pump start working; press again SINGLE or DOUBLE button when it reaches your desired time. Take into account that max working time is 80 seconds. Next time you choose amended function, will work by your new programming. This coffee maker has a memory function, therefore your new program will be saved although you turn off or unplug coffee maker. If you want to restore initial factory setting, when you turn on coffee maker, press buttons SINGLE y DOUBLE at the same time for more than 3 seconds, all indicator lights will flash 3 times and initial setting will be restored. IMPORTANT: to avoid splashes, do not remove filter holder while the coffee maker is brewing coffee.
MAKING CAPPUCCINO OR OTHER KIND OF SPECIAL COFFEE
Cappuccino coffee is prepared with espresso coffee and frothed milk. Therefore
you have to make an espresso coffee following previous instructions and before
you have to follow the instruction explained below.
Note : it’s necessary to place frother accessory on steam tube for making
frothed milk.
- First, make an espresso coffee and prepare a big enough cup for cappuccino coffee.
- Press the STEAM button, if light flashes, means the coffee maker is preheating when light is on coffee maker will be ready for use.
- Pour whole milk in high jar for well frothing. Turn the steam knob to steam begins coming out of the steam tube. Do not put jar in frother at the beginning because it will throw a bit of water, once water is out you can start frothing milk.
- Immerse frother 1/3 in milk and turn steam knob to max position. Gradually move jar downwards, avoid frother come out from milk, in this moment you will hear fizzy sound, it means air is entering into the milk and starts to froth.
- When you have enough froth, immerse frother to the bottom of jar and let it some seconds for heating milk. Frothing process will be over. Turn steam knob to OFF position and press STEAM button to stop steam function.
- For finishing of making cappuccino, pour frother milk in cup with espresso coffee which you prepare firstly. Just add sugar and cocoa powder according to your taste.
Notice : you should place frother on the top of milk because it can splash hot milk and scald you. Advice: if big bubbles appear in milk, hit bottom of jar and move it in circles softly so bubbles will distribuite uniformly. if you are going to prepare several cappuccino coffees, we recommend to prepare first all espresso coffee and after that froth milk for all cappuccinos. we recommend, after froth milk, let cool down coffee maker for 10 minutes before use it again. Otherwise, coffee will taste a bit burnt. You can cool down pump manually: place a cup below water output
and press manual button, water will pour. You should stop coffee maker when light flashes.
Note s:
- After frothing milk, frother tube has to be clean with damp cloth to avoid obstruction with remains.
- After frothing milk, allow steam comes out by frother for seconds, then stop steamer.
HOT WATER
This coffee maker allows pouring hot water to prepare infusions.
- Turn on coffee maker with POWER button.
- Place cup or glass below steam tube.
- Press MANUAL button and at the same time turn steam knob to max position, hot water begins pouring throw steam tube.
- To stop hot water coming out, press again MANUAL button and turn steam knob to OFF position
CLEANING
- Before cleaning or other maintenance, turn off coffee maker, unplug it and let it cool down.
- Do not use solvents or detergents when you clean coffee makers. Just damp cloth.
- Remove drip tray and clean it regularly.
- Clean water tank regularly to avoid rare tastes in coffee.
- After brew a coffee, remove filter holder, remove the coffee powder, and clean the remains of the coffee of filter and filter holder to avoid obstruction.
- Clean moving parts with water and dry them thoroughly.
Tips for making coffee
- Ground of coffee: if the coffee powder is pulpy, it indicates that the coffee powder is too fine; if it’s in the shape of losse sand, it indicates that the coffee powder is too coarse; if the coffee ground is in cake shape, it indicates that coffee powder is suitable.
- Quantity of coffee powder: for espresso coffee we recommend to use 7-10g. for double use about 16g.
- Pressing of coffee: you should press coffee powder with a strength of 3.6 kg, using a hand is enough.
- Hook of filter-holder: it uses for holding filter when you pour out coffee powder and avoid it falls down.
- Top tray cup warmer. It is recommended that cup is warm when you make coffee, so it will have better taste, avoiding it gets cold because temperature difference.
- We recommend you using cold milk because it froths the quickest.
REGULAR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- To ensure coffee maker brews good taste coffee, you should decalcify once every three months (regular using).
- You can use “descaler for the coffee maker” to decalcify ducts of coffee maker. Mix 4 parts of water with 1 part of descaler. If you don’t have descaler you can use citric acid or vinegar, the rate would be 100 parts of water with 3 parts of citric acid.
- It’s not necessary to put coffee powder in filter when you clean ducts.
- For cleaning water outlet and steam tuve follow steps to make cappuccino.
- After, repeat the cappuccino process 3 times with water to avoid the remains of cleaner in ducts.
- Each time you want to repeat the cleaning process you should wait until the coffee maker cold down for 3 minutes.
TROUBLESHOOTING

The coffee powder is stored in a hot, wet place for a long time.
The coffee powder turns bad.
| Please use fresh coffee powder, or store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to
maintain its freshness.
The coffee maker cannot work anymore.

The power outlet is not plugged well.
| Plug the power cord into a wall outlet correctly, if the appliance still does not work, please contact with the authorized service facility for repair.
The steam cannot froth.
| The steam ready indicator is not illuminated.| Only after the steam ready
indicator is illuminated, the steam can be used to froth.
The container is too big or the shape is not fit.| Use high and narrow cup.
You have used skimmed milk| Use whole milk.
Do not take apart the appliance by yourself if the cause of failure is not found, you had better contact certified serving centre.
