Instruction Manual

Read this manual instruction before using it.

  1. Short press to boot, long press to exit

  2. The probe symbol indicates the corresponding probe

  3. Indicates the position of the external probe

  4. Bluetooth indication: The symbol shows when the device is not connected with Bluetooth, once connected with
    Bluetooth it will stop flashing

  5. Battery indicator: used to indicate the battery level

  6. Touch key, these are the switching keys

  7. Set temperature: used to set the alarm temperature value

  8. Current temperature: the temperature measured by the correspondent channel

  9. Battery: place the batteries (2x AA)

  • For IOS: Search for Smartthermo X in the App Store and install it.
  • For Android: Search for Smartthermo X in Google Play and install it.

Instructions for operating keys

  1. ON / OFF Short press to start-up, long press to shut down.
  2. [ ▲] With this button the values can be increased. When the alarm rings and you press this key briefly, the alarm goes off.
  3. [SET] Long press to enter setting mode; Short press to enter next setting mode.
  4. [▼ ] With this button the values can be decreased. When the alarm rings and you press this key briefly, the alarm goes off.

Symbol and function description

  1. The device will automatically detect if the corresponding channel has probe access. When the external sensor is connected, the symbol ( 16 ) of the corresponding device is displayed and it switches automatically to the corresponding display channel (the interval is about 2 seconds). When a key is pressed, the backlight turns on (the backlight turns off automatically after 30 seconds)
  2. If the device is not connected to Bluetooth, this symbol , will flash, as soon as it is connected to Bluetooth, this symbol will not flash.
  3. mark indicates the battery is full, the mark indicates the battery is low.
  4. “HHH” Indicates that the measured temperature exceeds the measured; “LLL” Indicates that the measured temperature is below the minimum; “—” Indicates that no sensor is detected or an invalid value is measured.
  5. When this flag [ ] lights up it indicates that at least one or more probes are in an alert state. When multiple probes alarm at the same time, the corresponding probe number will light up and the display screen will switch to the page with the lowest probe number.

Alarm instructions.

  1. Cooking mode: The alarm function is activated when the measured temperature is higher than or equal to the set temperature. The screen will jump to the probe symbol which is ready. Press any key to stop the alarm sound from the display,
  2. Smoke mode: When the measured temperature exceeds the upper or lower limit of the set value, the alarm function is activated (no alarm is triggered when the temperature is detected below the lower alarm limit for the first time).

Warning

  • Meat Probe acceptable temperature range: -22°F to 572°F(-30ºC to 300ºC)
  • The Meat Probe should always be inserted into the center of the item which is being cooked for an accurate temperature.
  • The Stainless-steel probe and wires will get hot. Always wear heat-resistant gloves when handling.
  • Do not use the probe in a microwave oven or be exposed to flames or temperatures exceeding 572°F (300°C).
  • Keep the probe and wires away from children.
  • Not intended for children under 12 years old.

Care

  • Clean the probe after each use.
  • Wash the stainless-steel probe with hot soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not immerse the probe in the water while cleaning.
  • Do not expose the probe plug to water or other liquids. This will result in bad connections and faulty readings.
  • Wipe the thermometer base with a damp cloth. Do not use immerse in water.
  • To avoid damage, do not use cleaning agents or abrasive cleaners.
