UNPACKING INSTRUCTION

CAUTION! Immediately upon receiving the product, carefully unpack the carton, check the contents to ensure that all parts are present, and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packing material for inspection if any parts appear damage from shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all packing materials. In the event that the product must be returned to the factory, it is important that the product be returned in the original factory box and packing.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.

  1.  LCD Display

  2.  On/Standby:
    From Standby mode press the button to show Time, Date, Alarms, then press a second time to switch On.

  3.  Preset:
    Press and hold to save a station as a preset, or press to recall a saved preset station.

  4.  Scan:
    Press to scan DAB and FM stations

  5.  Prev :
    To review station list (DAB), or go back 0.05MHz (FM), or previous track (BT).

  6.  OK/Volume
    Rotate the Volume dial to increase/decrease the volume. Press the dial once to confirm current operation and snooze the alarm when sounding. In BT mode keeping the dial pressed will disconnect from your device. To reconnect to the same device just keep the dial pressed in again.

  7. Mode:
    Press to switch between DAB / FM radio / BT modes.

  8. Info/Back
    Press repeatedly to access station information. When in a sub-menu press to go back to a previous menu.

  9.  Menu
    Press to display menu options.

  10.  Next
    To review station list (DAB), or go forward 0.05MHz (FM), or next track (BT).

QUIK SETUP

Connecting the Power

  1.  Insert the power adapter into the DC IN port on your DAB Radio.
  2.  Insert the 3-pin adapter into a suitable mains socket

Using Your DAB Radio

  1.  Switching on your DAB Radio for the first time

  2.  Extend the telescopic antenna for the best reception possible.

  3.  Then press the POWER button to turn the radio on.

  4.  When DAB mode is activated for the first time, a full scan will automatically commence.

  5.  Once the radio be turned on, press the MODE button to switch between DAB , FM , BT modes.
    During scanning the screen will display a slide bar that indicates the progress of the scan, and the amount of radio stations that have been found so far. Once the scan has finished, the radio will select the first alphanumeric station.

  6.  Press On/Standby button once to put the DAB Radio into Standby mode.

MODE MENU

Press the [MODE] button several times to switch between input sources.

CHANGING THE INFORMATION SHOWN ON SCREEM

W-hen listening to a digital or FM radio station, you can change the information that is displayed on the screen.

Digital radio
When listening to digital radio, press the Select dial to toggle the information displayed on screen between Scrolling text, Programme, Channel / frequency, Signal strength / error, Bitrate or Date.
When listening to digital radio, you can also press and hold the [INFO] dial to toggle the display to show the ‘Now playing’ screen, a full screen version of the radio station artwork and a screen that shows information about the show that is being broadcast along with the radio station artwork.

FM radio
When listening to FM radio, press the [Info] dial to toggle the information displayed on the screen between ‘Scrolling text’, ‘Programm type’, ‘Frequency’, ‘Stereo/Mono’ and ‘Date’.

Power
Press [POWER] button to turn on the DAB Digital Radio.

Changing digital DAB stations

CHANGING FM STATION

Seek tuning

  1.  Press the [MODE] button several times to Select ‘FM radio’.
  2.  Press the [ ] or [ ] button FM radio station that has a strong signal.

USING RADIO PRESET

You can store up to 30 digital radio and 30 FM radio stations for quick access. To store a station to the preset list:

  1.  Tune to the digital or FM radio station you want to store.
  2.  Hold the [PRESET] button for at least 4 seconds to view the numerical list of stored presets, then turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose any Preset number between 1 and 30. You can overwrite existing presets.

To recall a preset when listening to digital radio or FM radio
Push the [PRESET] button, turn the [OK/VOLUME] dial right or left to scroll through the list of presets, then push and release the [SELECT] dial to tune to the selected preset.

USING THE BT INPUT

  1.  Make sure the DAB Radio has been switched on. Press the MODE button to select BT mode, and the display will show “BT Disconnected”.
  2.  Enable BT on your Smartphone and search for BT connections, select “Audizio Monza” from the list of devices. If you are asked for a pass code enter “0000”.
  3.  When successfully paired, the display will show “BT Connected”.
  4.  Once you have paired the DAB Radio with a smartphone or BT device, it will remember this device and will pair automatically when the device’s BT is activated and in range, you do not need to re-pair any previously connected devices under BT mode.
  5.  The DAB Radio will attempt to automatically connect to the last device it was paired with if BT mode is turned on. If you want to pair it with a new device, please press the OK/Volume dial until the display shows “Disconnected” and then use your new device to search and select the pairing name.

SETTING ALARMS AND TIMER SNOOZE FUNCTION

Setting an alarm

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu and select ‘System’.

  2.  Turn and press the [OK/Volume] dial to select ‘Alarm’.

  3.  From the ‘Alarm’ menu, turn and press the [OK/Volume] dial to select either ‘Alarm 1’ or ‘Alarm 2’.

  4.  Select Alarm ‘ON of OFF’ by turning and pressing the [OK/ VOLUME] dial, turn the dial to adjust the hours and minutes, pressing [OK/Volume] to confirm each section.

  5.  Select frequency Once,daily,weekdays,weekend.by turning and pressing the [OK/Volume] dial, turn the dial to adjust the hours and minutes, pressing [OK/ VOLUME] to confirm each section.

  6.  Set the source by turning and pressing the OK/Volume] dial, turn the dial to adjust Buzzer,DAB or FM, pressing [OK/Volume] to confirm.If you’ve chosen ‘DAB’ or ‘FM’ radio, turn and press the [OK/Volume] dial to select ‘Preset’. To play the station you last listened to, turn and press the [OK/Volume] dial to select ‘Last listened’ or turn and press the
    [OK/Volume] dial to choose a radio station from the preset list.

  7.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘Volume’. Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] the dial to set the volume of the alarm.

  8.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘Duration’. Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] to set the duration that the alarm will sound in minutes

SNOOZING A SOUNDING ALARMS

To snooze a sounding alarm, press the [OK/ VOLUME] dial. The display will show a countdown timer to show and the alarm will re-start again after 5 minutes on each press. To cancel a snoozing alarm press the [STANDBY] button.

Setting the sleep timer

  1.  Press the Menu button and turn and press the Select dial to select ‘System Settings’.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘Sleep’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to adjust the length of the sleep timer.

Cancelling a sounding alarm
Press [STANDBY] to cancel any sounding alarm or press [SOURCE] to cancel and leave the radio on.

THE AND DATE SETTING

The clock will automatically set itself using your digital radio signal. If the time or date does not update automatically, you can manually set it using this option.
Note: Any time or date updates received by a digital broadcast will override manual settings.
Setting the time and date manually

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘System settings’ > ‘Time’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘Set Time/Date’.
  4.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to set the hour. Repeat to adjust the minutes.
  5.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to set the day of the month. Repeat to set the month and year.

Note : If you have set your the 12 hour time format, make sure that you select the ‘AM’ or ‘PM’ version of the hour before pressing the Select dial.

THE AND DATE SYNCHORIXATION OPTION

You can synchronize the time and date on the digital radio signal. To specify the clock synchronization options:

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘System settings’ > ‘Time’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘time update’.

CHANGING THE TIME FORMAT

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘System settings’ > ‘Time’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘Set 12/24 hour’.
  4.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose between ‘12’ or ‘24’ hours.

CHANGING THE DATE FORMAT

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select ‘System settings’ > ‘Time’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘Set date format’.
  4.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose between ‘DD-MM-YYYY’ and ‘MM-DD-YYYY’.

CHANGING YOUR PREFER LANGUAGE

You can select the language for menus and options.

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘System settings’ > ‘Language’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to select a menu language.

BACKLIGHT

You can adjust the duration that the screen is illuminated for and the brightness of the screen when:

Timeout
To adjust the duration of the screen backlight before dimming:

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘System settings’ > ‘Backlight’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘Timeout’.
  4.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose a timeout setting. To specify that the backlight should always remain on, choose ‘On’.

On level

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘System settings’ > ‘Backlight’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘On Level’.
  4.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose between ‘High’, ‘Medium’ or ‘Low’.

Dim level

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘System settings’ > ‘Backlight’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose ‘Dim Level’.
  4.  Turn and press the [OK/ Volume] dial to choose between ‘High’, ‘Medium’, ‘Low’.

EQUALIZER

  • Several predefined EQ settings are available; also a user-defined setting (My EQ). To choose an EQ setting,
  • Menu > System settings > Equaliser.
  • You can then choose from a variety of predefined settings and My EQ. The last option ‘My EQ profile setup’ allows you to define your own settings for the ‘My EQ’ option, with custom bass and treble settings. Rotate the [OK/
  • VOLUME] to select and press dial to confirm.

CARRYING OUT  A FACTORY

Resetting removes all presets, stored stations, alarms and resets all other options to default settings.

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu…
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose ‘System settings’ > ‘Factory Reset’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to select ‘Yes’ to reset factory settings. Select ‘No’ if you do not want to reset to factory settings.

DAB SETTING

Note : You can only see the DAB settings when you have selected “DAB” as the radio source.

Full scan
You can use the “Full Scan” (auto tune) function to automatically scan for new digital radio stations and remove inactive ones. To carry out an auto tune, press the [SCAN/ENTER] button .The number of stations found will be displayed during the auto tune. When the auto tune has finished, the last station that you were listening to. If the last station you were listening to is no longer available, will tune into the first station in the alphabetical list.

Manual tuning
To manually check the signal strength of a known channel:

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose ‘Manual tune’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose the channel

Dynamic range control
Dynamic Range Control (DRC) is used to make quieter sounds in a digital radio broadcast easier to hear at low volume or in a noisy environment. Check with the broadcasters to find out if they use DRC.

To change the DRC settings:

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose ‘DRC’.
  3.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose between one of the following options:
    DRC high: Applies maximum compression to the DRC level. DRC low: Applies reduced compression to the DRC level. DRC off: Removes DRC compression.

Prune
To delete all radio stations that have no signal select ‘’Yes’’ , Or select ‘’No’’ to go back to the DAB+ menu

FM RADIO SETTING

Note: You can only see the FM radio settings when you have selected ‘FM’ as the radio source.

FM stereo option
You can choose between stereo or mono reception when listening to FM radio. Mono may improve clarity where stereo signals are weak.
To change between Stereo or Mono reception:

  1.  Press and hold the Menu button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Audio Setting’.
  3.  Select between ‘Stereo Allowed’ or ‘Forced Mono’.

FM scan
You can choose whether automatically stops at the next available FM station or the next available FM station with a strong signal when scanning for an FM station. To change the FM scan setting:

  1.  Press and hold the [MENU] button to view the main menu.
  2.  Turn and press the [OK/VOLUME] dial to choose ‘Scan Setting’.
  3.  Select between ‘Strong Stations Only’ or ‘All Stations’.
