Instruction
Congratulations to the purchase of this Audizio product. Please read this
manual thoroughly prior to using the unit in order to benefit fully from all
features.
Read the manual prior to using the unit. Follow the instructions in order not
to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or
electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician
in order to avoid electrical shock. Keep the manual for future reference.
- Prior to using the unit, please ask advice from a specialist. When the unit is switched on for the first time, some smell may occur. This is normal and will disappear after a while.
- The unit contains voltage carrying parts. Therefore, do NOT open the housing.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the unit This may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators, etc. Do not place the unit on a vibrating surface. Do not cover the ventilation holes.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- When unplugging the unit from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
- If the plug and/or the mains lead are damaged, they need to be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged to such an extent that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug the unit into a mains outlet and DO NOT switch the unit on. Contact your dealer. Do NOT connect the unit to a rheostat or dimmer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect the unit to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- During a thunderstorm or if the unit will not be used for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains. The rule is: Unplug it from the mains when not in use.
- If the unit has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room temperature before you switch it on. Never use the unit in humid rooms or outdoors.
- To prevent accidents in companies, you must follow the applicable guidelines and follow the instructions.
- Do not repeatedly switch the fixture on and off. This shortens the lifetime.
- Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave the unit unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays to clean switches. The residues of these sprays cause deposits of dust and grease. In case of malfunction, always seek advice from a specialist.
- Do not force the controls.
- This unit is with speaker inside which can cause magnetic field. Keep this unit at least 60cm away from computer or TV.
- If this product has a built-in lead-acid rechargeable battery. Please recharge the battery every 3 months if you are not going to use the product for a long period of time. Otherwise the battery may be permanently damaged.
- If the battery is damaged, please replace with same specifications battery. And dispose the damaged battery environment friendly.
- If the unit has fallen, always have it checked by a qualified technician before you switch the unit on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit. They damage the varnish. Only clean the unit with a dry cloth.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Only use original spares for repairs, otherwise serious damage and/or dangerous radiation may occur.
- Switch the unit off prior to unplugging it from the mains and/or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables prior to moving the unit.
- Make sure that the mains lead cannot be damaged when people walk on it. Check the mains lead before every use for damages and faults!
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if power outlet match. If you travel, make sure that the mains voltage of the country is suitable for this unit.
- Keep the original packing material so that you can transport the unit in safe conditions

UNPACKING INSTRUCTION
CAUTION! Immediately upon receiving the product, carefully unpack the carton, check the contents to ensure that all parts are present, and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packing material for inspection if any parts appear damage from shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all packing materials. In the event that the product must be returned to the factory, it is important that the product be returned in the original factory box and packing. If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.

USAGE
Press the [Standby]-button directly on the radio to turn on the unit. On the display you will see ‘’Welcome to Digital Radio’’, The radio ask if you want to starts searching for DAB+ radio stations, press [Enter] to start a ‘’Full Scan’’ and the radio sets the time and date automatically when there is a DAB signal available. Note: if there is no DAB Signal, switch the radio off and move it to a location with a stronger signal. If you push the [Standby] button again the Radio will go to standby mode and the backlight will dim.
TIME SETTINGS
Note: Set the time manually if you are not receiving DAB+ signal. As soon as the radio receives DAB+ signal, the time will be set automatically.
In STANDBY mode:
- Press and hold STOP [or knob 6 on remote]. 12/24 digits will flash on the display. Press [ ] or [ ] [or knob 12/13 on remote] repeatedly to set the correct hour. Press STOP [or knob 6 on remote] again to confirm.
- The minute digits will flash on the display. Press [ ] or [ ] or [12/13 on remote] repeatedly to set the correct minute. Press STOP [or knob 6 on remote] again to con- firm.
- The year digits will flash on the display. Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] repeatedly to set the correct year. Press STOP [or knob 6 on remote] again to confirm.
- The month digits will flash on the display. Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] repeatedly to set the correct month. Press STOP [or knob 6 on remote] again to con- firm.
- The day digits will flash on the display. Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] repeatedly to set the correct day. Press STOP [or knob 6 on remote] again to confirm.
SET TIMER SLEEP
Set Timer
When the radio is in Stanby modePress and hold [TIMER] [or knob 20 on remote].
The hour digits will flash on the display. Press [ ] or [ ] [or knob 12/13 on
remote] repeatedly to set the correct hour. Press [TIMER] [or knob 20 on
remote]. again to confirm. The minute digits will flash on the display. Press
[ ] or [ ] or [12/13 on remote] repeatedly to set the correct minute. Press
[TIMER] [or knob 20 on remote] to confirm. Press [ ] or [ ] [or knob 12/13 on
remote] repeatedly to choose the alarm mode: DAB/FM/CD/USB. Press [TIMER] [or
knob 20 on remote] again to confirm. Press [TIMER] [or knob 20 on remote]to
activate the alarm. The alarm icon will appear on display. Once the alarm hour
is reached the unit will start playing in the chosen mode. Press [TIMER] [or
knob 20 on remote] in standby mode to deactivate the alarm. The alarm icon
will disappear from the display.
Sleep
This function enables you to go to sleep listening to the Radio. While
listening to music, press [TIMER] [or knob 20 on remote] repeatedly to select
between OFF/15/30/45/60/90. The Radio turns on and will turn off automatically
after the selected sleep timer.
NAVIGATE THE MENU
In FM/DAB mode there is an option menu.
- Press MENU/PROG [Knob 17 on remote] to access to the options.
- Press [ ] or [ ] or [12/13 on remote] to search the options.
- Press ENTER [Knob 16 on remote] to select the options.
- Press MENU/PROG [Knob 17 on remote] to exit the menu.
SYSTEM SETTINGS
In FM/DAB mode, press MENU/PROG [Knob 17 on remote] and select SYSTEM:
- Language : select this option to change the system language.
- Factory Reset : select this option to reset the device to factory settings.
- Software Upgrade : select this option if a new software version is released.
- SW version : select this option to see the current software version.
DAB MODE
Rotate SOURCE [or use knob 5 on remote] to select DAB mode. Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] to search the program.
DAB MENU
- Press MENU/PROG [knob 17 on remote] to access to the options.
- Full Scan : select this option to perform a full scan of the available DAB programs.
- You can press SCAN [knob 9 on remote] to perform the same action.
- Manual Tune : select this option to select manually the DAB frequence.
- DRC : select this option to choose between DRC low, DRC high and DRC off.
- Prune : select this option to choose between PRUNE stations on or off.
DAB INFO
Repeatedly press INFO [Knob 11 on remote] to see the following informations:

FM MODE
- Rotate SOURCE [use Knob 5 on remote] to select FM mode. Select a station using one of the following methods:
- AUTO : Long pressing [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] for 2 seconds or more, the frequency changes down or up automatically until a station is found.
- MANUAL : Repeatedly press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] to change the frequente until you find the station you want.
FM MENU
- Press MENU/PROG [Knob 17 on remote] to access to the options.
- Scan Setting : select this option to choose between scanning all stations or only the strong stations.
- Audio Setting : select this option to choose between forcing mono audio or allowing stereo sound.
FM INFO
Repeatedly press INFO [Knob 11 on remote] to see the following informations:
KIND OF PROGRAM / FREQUENCE / AUDIO / DATE / TIME.
STATION STORE
You can program a maximum of 20 preset radio stations.
When you are in DAB or FM modus, Press and hold PRESET [Knob 19 on remote]
‘’PRESET STORE’’ will appear on display. Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on
remote] to select the preset number. Press ENTER [Knob 16 on remote] to
confirm. Press PRESET [Knob 19 on remote] to navigate through the presets.
PLAYING COMPACT DISC
Turn SOURCE [or use Knob 1 on remote] to select CD mode.
- Press CD DOOR OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON [Knob 2 on remote] to open the cd door.
- Place a cd inside the tray, then close the cd door. The first track will start playback.
- Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote] to select your favorite tunes.
- If you hold [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote], the playing track will go fast backward or forward until you release the button.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE [Knob 9 on remote] to pause the playback. The track number will start blinking.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE [Knob 9 on remote] again to resume the play- back.
- Press STOP [Knob 6 on remote] to stop the playback.
REPEAT MODE
During playback, repeatedly press REPEAT [Knob 7 on the remote control] to
select:
- Repeat1 : The current track is played repeatedly.
- RepeatFolder : The current folder is played repeatedly.
- RepeatAll : All tracks are played repeatedly.
CD PROGRAMMING
You can program up to 99 tracks to play in any desired order
- Insert a disc and press STOP [Knob 6 on remote] when it starts playing.
- Press PROG [Knob 8 on remote]. “P01” will be shown on the display.
- Press [ ] or [ ] or [Knob 12/13 on remote], to select your favorite tunes.
- Press PROG [Knob 8 on remote] to store the track in the program memory. “P02” will be shown on the display.
- Repeat steps 3-4 to select and store all desired tracks.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE [Knob 9 on remote] to start program play.
- Press STOP [Knob 6 on remote] once to stop the program play.
- Press STOP [Knob 6 on remote] twice to clear program.
AUX MODE
This unit provides an auxiliary audio input jack for connecting external
audio device like MP3 players, CD players and allow playback of your external
source through the system spealkers. Use an audio cable (not included) with a
RCA stereo plugs on one end of the cable. Plug one end into the AUX-IN on the
main unit and plug the other end of the cable into the LINE OUT or HEADPHONE
Jack of your external audio device. Turn ON the unit and your external audio
device. Rotate SOURCE [or use knob 5 on remote] to select CD mode. Start to
play the external device (see the user manual of the external device).
BT OPERATION
- Rotate SOURCE [or use Knob 5 on remote] to select BT mode.
- Select from your portable device (Smartphone, Tablet…) Audizio Salerno, then confirm connection.
- When the pairing is successful the LED will stop blinking.
- Now you can transfer the music to the Audizio Salerno and all operations can only be operated from your mobile device.
PLAYBACK FROM USB
- Insert the USB device’s plug into the USB socket (5).
- Rotate SOURCE [Knob 5 on remote] to select USB mode.
- The unit will start reading the device automatically after the connection.
- Use the same procedure as CD to listen to your USB device.
DELETE USB
- During playback, press and hold DEL [Knob 4 on remote]. “DEL” will be shown on the display.
- Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote], repeatedly to select between ONE/FOLDER/ALL.
- Press DEL [Knob 4 on remote]. again to confirm.
RECORDING FUNCTION
While listening to BT/AUX-IN/DAB:
- Press REC [Knob 3 on remote] “REC” will be shown on the display. The REC indicator will light up. Encoding is performing now. (encoding speed is 1:1).
- Press STOP [Knob 6 on remote] to stop recording.
- The unit will create a folder in the USB device, that contain all recorded tracks.
While listening to CD:
- Press REC [Knob 3 on remote]
- Press [ ] or [ ] or [knob 12/13 on remote], repeatedly to select between ONE/ FOLDER/ALL.
- Press REC [Knob 3 on remote] once more to start recording.
EQ OPERATIONS
In any mode, you may press & hold EQ button [Knob 18 on remote], then shortly press it repeatedly to select between FLAT / POP / CLASSIC / ROCK / JAZZ.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Radio
- Clean the radio with a slightly moistened cloth. The cloth must not be wet! Do not use aggressive cleaning agents!
- Do not place the radio in a hot, humid or dusty place.
- Keep your radio away from devices that generate heat or emit electrical signals.
