Safety Instructions

This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.

Always disconnect mains power when the device is not in use or when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Handle the power cord by the plug only.

Do not disassemble or open the cover. There are no user serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.

Caution: Device heats up during use. Never cover the device and keep the ventilation slots free from dust and obstructions at all times. The housing might heat up during usage. Keep minimum distances around the device for sufficient ventilation. Place the device on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Do not place the device on carpets, fabrics…

Do not use the device when damage to housing or cables is noticed. Do not attempt to service the device yourself but contact an authorised dealer.

The cutting wire is hot. Do not touch hot parts to avoid risk of skin burn!

Only use the supplied cutting wire or a suited replacement wire.

Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.

Operation

The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.

Draw the design on the piece of foam, either freehandedly or using a pattern.

Choose one of the included tips and insert it into the handle. Ensure it is well-secured into the handle.

Connect the plug coming from the handle to the adapter. Insert the adapter into the mains socket.

Switch on the foam cutter and place it onto the stand.
Wait for the cutter to warm up. -
Hold the cutter in a comfortable position. Always try on a test object before starting on your project. Remove large unwanted chunks first for easier handling.

We recommend using the wire tip for more detailed work. Do not use force to cut the foam and let the heat do the work.

After cutting, switch off and disconnect the foam cutter from the mains. Let it cool down on the stand before storing.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- The external flexible cable of the adapter cannot be replaced, if the cord of this adapter is damaged, it is necessary to dispose of the adapter and replace by an adapter of the same model (model HS18-0501500EU).
- The foam cutter does not need any particular maintenance. However, occasionally wipe it with a damp cloth to keep it looking new.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
