VI. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Notes
  • For hygienic purposes we recommend that you empty the container and clean the filters after each use.
  • Maximum suction power can be achieved when the filters are clean and the dustbag is empty.
  • Every time you empty the dust container, we recommend that you also clean the filters.
  • When you are vacuuming very fine dust, the filter pores might get clogged. This reduces the air flow and reduces the suction power. In such a case, the filters need to be cleaned even though the container is not full yet.

Clean the surface of the vacuum cleaner and adaptor with a soft wet cloth. Do not use any rough and aggressive detergents!

Accessories

After any vacuuming it is recommended to check visually the brushes or collectors for possible impurities. If there are some impurities, remove them.

Floor nozzle with rotary brush

Remove any dirt (especially hair, animal hairs, etc.) stuck to the brush. To make cleaning easier, the brush can be removed (Fig. 4).

Small turbo brush

Remove any dirt (especially hair, animal hairs, etc.) stuck to the brush

Dust container

Clean the surface and the inside of the container B with a soft wet cloth. Rinse the separator B4 under running water. Allow all the parts to dry out properly before their re-use.

Caution

Never rinse the container B under running water and never immerse it in water. It houses electrical components which drive the brush in the floor nozzle Ea/Eb and they might get damaged.

HEPA filter

Shake out the input HEPA filter A7 gently, or blow it out. If the HEPA filter is very dirty, you can rinse it under running lukewarm water. Allow it to dry out properly.

Caution

  • Do not clean the filters with any aggressive washing or cleaning detergents or hot water.
  • If you clean the HEPA filter with water, its filtration properties will deteriorate. The filter cannot be washed more than three times. After that, a new filter needs to be purchased.
  • We recommend that you replace the HEPA filter twice a year.
  • The filters are not dish-washer safe.
  • Failure to clean or replace the filters as required may cause a defect of the vacuum cleaner!

Mopping adapter

Use fine and damp cloth for cleaning the surface of the mopping adapter. For a thorough maintenance, the adapter can be disassembled (Fig. 1b). Rinse the tank L2 and the container L5 with water. Rinse plastic parts L7, L9, L17 and the brush L18 in flowing water. Thoroughly remove the dirt assembled under the swing-out cover L16. Allow all parts to dry thoroughly before re-assembling.

L18 brush cleaning function:

  1. Empty dirt container L5.
  2. Fill L2 tank with clean water.
  3. Place mop adapter L with the vacuum cleaner connected to drip tray L19. Switch on the vacuum cleaner and the additional spraying function.
  4. Allow the water in tank L2 to drain. In case of heavy dirt, this process can be repeated.
  5. Clean the other parts of the mop adapter in a standard way.

CAUTION

During the entire time of cleaning the brush, the mop adapter with attached vacuum cleaner must be held in the drip tray L19 to avoid the fall!
