Position the book

Place the book in front of you with the spine towards you, like in the image.

Determine the starting page

We want the same amount of pages on both sides of the pattern, once folded into the book. Our website will calculate this for you. Simply fill out the last page number of the book when downloading the pattern and you’ll receive a pattern with the correct starting page.

Mark the pages

Open the book on the page that is listed in the pattern. Take your ruler and line up the zero with the top left side of the page. Leave a little room between the ruler and the side of the page where you’re going to place the marks. Each page has multiple marks, take a look at the pattern and find the first mark for the page. Place a little marking on the page on the location indicated in the pattern. Now leave the ruler as is and also place the rest of the marks. Go to the next page.

Continue marking the pages until you reach the end of the pattern.

Fold the pages

It’s time to fold the pages and complete your book folding pattern. Turn the book towards you and open the book on the page where your first marks are.

Now there are two possibilities:

If you have two marks on the page, simply fold the page exactly on the marks, like displayed in the middle image.
If you have four or more marks, do the following: Fold the outer two marks like in the previous option. Next, take scissors and make small cuts on the other marks (about 2 cm deep). Now take a thicker piece of paper and measure it like in the third image. Place this piece of paper like in the image and start folding back the cut pieces of the page. Start from the right and fold the first available section to the inside, leave the next one as is and fold the next one again. Repeat this until you’ve folded the entire page, after that go to the next page and repeat the process.
