Wireless Product Notice

  • Wireless communications hardware provides reliable communication; however, there are some limitations that must be observed.
  • The transmitters are required to comply with all applicable wireless rules and regulations. As such, they have limited transmitter power and limited range.
  • Wireless signals may be blocked by radio signals that occur on or near the wireless operating frequencies. We suggest installing the products at least 3ft away from any equipment that creates interfering radio waves.
  • Examples of devices that easily generate interfering radio waves or noise: are air conditioners (outdoor units), refrigerators, mobile phones (WLAN)/other electric appliances with high power consumption when it is turned on.
  • If you are using this product with buildings around you, you may receive frequencies from the surrounding. Malfunctions may occur. Also, radio waves are extremely difficult to reach in reinforced buildings so the system might not respond normally.

Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ

  • When I press the call button, nothing displayed on the CMU screen (or there is no responding sound)

    • Check if the call button/component is programmed to the CMU correctly.
    • Or program the call button/component again from the beginning (see page 8).
    • Check if the power AC adapter is connected to a power outlet or check the battery if you use 4 C-type batteries to operate the CMU.
  • When I press the call button the indicator lights up but there is nothing displayed on the CMU screen after pressing the call button.

    • Please pair the call button to the CMU again to ensure the programming is complete successfully (see page 8).
  • The corresponding number does not display on the CMU during setting.

    • Check the call button/component battery. Low power affects performance. It is recommended to check all battery levels periodically
  • The CMU just started making strange noise constantly with battery light is on.

    • It might be the inconsistency of the power connection. Please unplug the power cord and plug it back on or reconnect the CMU with power from a different outlet.
  • The signal range between the call button and CMU is less than 100ft.

    • Please try installing the CMU and the call button away from metal walls/ surfaces and any electronic device that generates radio frequencies.
The signal range is affected significantly by metal walls and surfaces. Singal interference may occur or it may cause the CMU unable to receive signal.
Fully extend the antenna on CMU to receive the most optimal signal range.

    • If installing the CMU on a wall, ensure there is no device that easily generates radio waves or noise on the back side of the wall. Or change the installation location for the most optimal signal range.

If you still experience other issues or have further inquiries, please contact us directly at: support.synlett@gaxintech.com.
We will respond within 24 hours.

Tips for Caregiver

  • If the CMU is out of range of the call button/component, it will not alert when the component is triggered.
  • Test the CMU’s range in your area before assuming it will cover the entire space.
  • We designed the system so it could be used in a multi-floor area. We measured them in open spaces and they should cover a maximum of 660ft or 200m. Note that indoors, the building layout and materials will affect the actual distance you can receive. Buildings made from wood frames and drywall will have the best performance, and signals can pass through several walls or a different floor and still be received. Materials like concrete, brick or stone will reduce range quite a bit when compared with drywall, and a metal plate can block them completely. So test, test, test and test some more to make sure it will work properly in the range that you intend to use the system.
  • If you have not been using the system for some time, please test again, it just takes a couple of seconds and will give you peace of mind.
