SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

General Safety Instructions

  • Read the operating instructions carefully before using the popcorn machine.
  • Do not use the machine outdoors.
  • To avoid accidents, place the machine as close to the power outlet as possible.
  • Never immerse the device in water and do not use it near water.
  • Do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners for cleaning.
  • Do not leave the unit unattended during operation.
  • Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. The appliance is not a toy.
  • This device may be only used by children 8 years old or older and persons with limited physical, sensory and mental capabilities and / or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they have been instructed in use of the device by a responsible person who understands the associated risks.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended near children.
  • Only use the appliance to make popcorn.

Device Safety

  • After use and before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket.
  • Keep the appliance door closed during operation.
  • Do not use the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Do not use the unit if it does not function properly.
  • Do not clean the appliance parts in the dishwasher.
  • If you need to move the appliance, let it cool down fi rst.
  • Use only accessories supplied by the manufacturer. The use of other accessories may cause injury.
  • Before use, check the kettle for foreign objects inside and remove them if necessary

CAUTION
Risk of burns! The parts inside the popcorn machine can become very hot during operation. Let them cool down before cleaning so that they do not burn.

POPPING INSTRUCTIONS

Assembly procedure

  • Make sure the popcorn maker is unplugged before you do any of the following.
  • Before using the unit, please check carefully to be sure voltage (220-240 V ~50/60 Hz) is suitable for your home.
  • Clean the internal surface of the kettle with warm soapy water, rinse well and dry with clean cloth.
    Wipe down inner and outer housing with damp cloth.

Operation

  1. Main unit has a 2-function switch as follows:

    • LIGHT: to turn light on;
    • POP: to turn motor & heater on.
  2. Insert the internal plug into the socket.

  3. Plug the power cord into an electric outlet.

  4. Switch on LIGHT & POP. The light, motor and heater will turn on. Allow the boiler to preheat for 2-3 minutes..

  5. Turn the POP switch to off position.

  6. Lift lid up using the lid tab to pour ingredients into the kettle. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Then quickly add 1/3 cup of popcorn corn (1/3 measuring cup included). Close the lid. Switch POP on again, the motor will move and the kettle will be heated.
    CAUTION: Lid might be hot – it is recommended to use an oven mitt.

  7. Popcorn starts popping out through the lid after about 2 minutes.

  8.  When unit is finished popping – you will no longer hear the corn popping – immediately turn the POP switch to the off position and pull down the handle bar of the kettle to release any remaining popcorn from the kettle. This will also stop the remaining popcorn from cooking any further and avoid possible burning.

  9. Keep POP switch off if the unit is not continuously in use.

  10. Repeat step 6 to 8 for continuous popping.

  11. Remove plug from power supply if the unit is not being used.

CLEANING AND CARE

  1. Make sure that the power supply has been disconnected before cleaning.
  2. Also unplug the kettle motor from the wall outlet.
  3. Clean the inside of the appliance with a soft damp cloth. Then dry the appliance with a soft cloth.
  4. Wipe out the kettle as well. Then wipe the inside of the kettle with a dry cloth.

Note: To prevent the kettle motor plug from getting wet, do not immerse the appliance in water. Apart from the popcorn container, all parts must be cleaned by hand. The popcorn container may be cleaned in the dishwasher.

  • It is strongly recommended to clean the kettle frequently to avoid burning of residual oil of the base of the pot.
  • After using the popcorn machine, let it cool, and use a wet cloth to clean the main unit, main body and glass. It is strongly recommended to wash and dry the tray after each usage to avoid any bacteria buildup. The light bulb is replaceable with an AC 220-240 V ~50 Hz 10 W bulb.

QUICK CLEANING PROCEDURE

  • Turn the POP control to off.
  • Pour 4 to 6 ounces of water (NO detergent is necessary) into inner pot.
  • Switch the POP control to on to boil the water and let the stirrer turn in order to remove excess oil stuck on the surface.
  • After cooling pour out the water into a deep bowl and discard after about 1 to 2 minutes of boiling. CAUTION: THE KETTLE IS HOT.
  • Or clean the kettle with a scouring pad (Not included). Do not immerse kettle or electrical plug in water.
