INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove Velcro pads from helmet shell interior. Leave any hard foam impact liners in place (such as Ops-CoreTM LUX Liner).
- Align centerline of CWLTM with centerline of helmet shell.
- Carefully spread CWLTM across interior Velcro of helmet shell. Ensure material is as smooth and flat as possible to minimize pad displacement in step four.
- Replace pads in interior of CWLTM in the same configuration as before.
NOTE: if helmet is properly sized for user, use of the same pads with and without the CWLTM is likely. If the user’s helmet runs smaller than factory recommendation, thinner pads may be necessary for proper fit when CWLTM is installed.
TIPS AND TRICKS
-
Keep CWLTM folded in half and align front center seam with center of helmet brim. Lower portion of CWL™ should extend below shell brim on most helmets. Align rear CWLTM seam with center of helmet rear edge. Carefully engage the “spine” of the CWLTM with Velcro running down the center of the helmet shell.
NOTE: If helmet features a fold-over brow pad (such as Ops-CoreTM liners), align bottom front edge of CWLTM with helmet lip to allow brow pad to fold back in. -
Carefully spread out the right and left sides of the CWLTM into helmet shell. Take care to avoid wrinkles, ensuring material is as smooth as possible. This may require several attempts to achieve the smoothest results. It is most easily done by starting in the center and working your way out to the edges.
NOTE: Due to the elasticity of the fabric, the CWLTM may not completely engage all Velcro in some helmet shells. -
When satisfied with CWLTM installation, begin reinstalling pads. Begin with largest pads and work your way to the smallest.
NOTE: Some wearers may possess a helmet that leans on the smaller side of the size spectrum. If your helmet is smaller than factory recommendations for your head, you may need to install a thinner size pad when the CWLTM is present for optimal fit. -
Remove CWLTM by grasping entire liner / pad assembly and slowly pulling it out of the shell. Take care to not tear fabric or stitching. Once removed, pull pads out of CWLTM and replace them in helmet.
