User Manual
Foreword
Congratulations on your purchase of a HealTech Secondary Throttle Valve
Eliminator module (STVE). This unit will fit motorcycles which are factory
equipped with a secondary butterfly valve in the throttle body and an
electronic actuator motor controlled by the bike’s ECU.
The Plug ‘n Go connector makes installation quick and easy, eliminating the
need to alter the bike’s original wiring.
Attention: By installing this product, your bike’s emission level may
change, which might violate local emission norms/regulations. Do not use on
public roads.
Installation
Before installing this product, please make sure you got the right part for
your bike. See the part number on the packaging and use the Product Advisor on
our website to check compatibility.
These instructions are applicable to a wide range of motorcycles and describe
the main installation steps needed for a successful installation. You can find
motorcycle-specific Supplementary Manuals on our website. Please visit: www

-
Locate the throttle body assembly under the airbox. Find the two connectors of the actuator motor (STVA) and the secondary throttle position sensor (STPS) on the throttle body assembly. Proceed with extra caution, as there can be more connectors that look the same, such as the fuel pump connector on certain bike models. Be sure
to use the STVA and STPS connectors. -
Unplug the two connectors and plug the STVE module into the wiring harness connectors.
-
Mount the module to the inner side of the frame with the Velcro strips. Secure the wiring and plugs with the supplied cable ties.
-
Remove the butterfly valve flaps/throttle plates from the rod by unscrewing the smallholding screws. It’s advised to block the throttle body intake holes, so the screws or any other mechanical parts don’t fall into the combustion chamber(s), which would cause serious engine damage.
-
We recommend having the AFR (air-fuel ratio) of the engine checked by a dyno center and adjusting if necessary.
-
You may experience that cold starting the engine is more difficult without the STV actuator motor. In this case, either adjust the idle speed higher or pull some throttle while starting the engine and hold it until the idle speed becomes steady.
Warranty
The unit is completely sealed and epoxy encapsulated, which gives extreme
protection for the internal parts from shocks, vibrations, and water.
To ensure trouble-free operation from the start, all units have been
extensively tested prior to shipment.
Our dealers are offering a 30-day money-back guarantee on HealTech products,
thus you will get your money back if the product does not fulfill your
expectations (all parts must be returned in original condition for full
refund).
Furthermore, the product is covered by our 2-year replacement warranty from
the date of purchase.
