Safety Instructions

  • This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Indoor use only. Dry location use only. Keep away from rain and moisture. Never put objects filled with liquid on top of or close to the device.
  • Do not disassemble or open the cover under any circumstances.
  • The housing might heat up during usage. Keep minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. Place on a flat heat-resistant surface.
  • Always disconnect from the power source when the device is not in use or when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Do not pull the cable!
  • Do not use the device when damage to housing or cables is noticed. Do not attempt to service the device yourself but contact an authorized dealer.
  • Velleman nv will not be held responsible for damaged or lost software or damage to a connected device.
  • Before connecting a device you should make sure that both the voltage and polarity are correct. Do not change either voltage or polarity during operation. Contact your local dealer when in doubt.

General Guidelines

  • Keep away from dust and extreme heat. Protect from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
  • Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
  • All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
  • Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorized way will void the warranty.
  • Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

Operation

Charging a battery

  • Insert the batteries into the battery slots. Mind the polarity.
  • Connect the charger to the power source. The 0.5 A LED will burn to indicate the charger is powered.
  • Hold the selection button pressed to select the charging current. Tap the selection button to check the selected battery type. The corresponding LED will burn. Note that, once the charger has identified the battery, you cannot manually change the battery type.

Using the Charger as a Power Bank

  • Connect the charger to the device to be powered. The burning LED indicates the charging level.
  • Press the selection button to check the battery’s current capacity. The corresponding LED will burn.

Maintenance

  • Disconnect from the power source before cleaning.
  • Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
