Introduction

This electrical preamplifier stands up to the test and delivers excellent sound quality. The PP999 is ideal for converting phono-level output from studio equipment to a more acceptable and manageable line-level output. It will boost your audio signal and prepare it for further processing by your receiver or amplifier. Preamps are essential for supporting the signal source because they supply voltage gain to your preferred equipment. The preamp’s ultra-low noise audio conditioning circuitry boosts audio to levels that are more bearable for different types of audio equipment. It will be simpler to modify the recording level volumes of various sources and instruments.

To reduce unwanted noise and hum, place your preamp close to the source. interference. Preamps are occasionally incorporated into stereo equipment, but if that isn’t the case, the PP999 is simple to set up, a prudent decision, and an excellent addition to any musician or producer’s arsenal. With the PP999 Preamplifier, you can take your sound and audio production skills to the next level.

PHONO SIGNALS TO LINE LEVEL SIGNALS

This is a turntable preamp that transforms phono signals to line-level signals. This phono preamp’s cutting-edge technology can accept magnetic pickups with a 3mV input sensitivity at 50K Ohms.

LOW NOISE OPERATION

It’s Low-Noise Audio Operational Amplifiers provide remarkable performance. At 10K Ohms, the output is 2V max (P-P). To eliminate unwanted noise and interference, it’s best to place the preamp close to the source.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If I have a record player without a Preamp, will this help me with hooking it up to a Sonos?
You can hook it up to anything with a red and white connection. Or if you get the RCA to a 3.5mm jack then you can hook it up to anything with an input slot. I used this on my realistic lab 440 which doesn’t have a preamp. Once I connected the ground from my turntable into the ground slot on this amp, my music sounded loud and clear.

  • So currently I plug right from my turntable into the receiver….will I need an additional RCA wire to run from the Pyle into my receiver?
Yes, you will. You will need a stereo RCA cable from Phono Line Out of your Turntable to the Line Input of our PP999 then another RCA cable from the Line Output of our PP999 into the RCA line-level input of your Receiver.

  • Will this help boost an RCA signal coming out of the back of my tv? it’s a 3.5mm out, and the signal seems weak. or is this only meant for turning tables?
The unit is designed as a Turntable preamp. The unit can only reduce ground noise. You may check other details of the unit by visiting our website pyleaudio.com. Type the model number on the search box PP999 for more details.

  • What is the Signal-to-Noise ratio (S/N) for this amp?
The box says signal to noise ratio than say 50k ohms? Anyone who owns a scope and freq meter knows that’s near useless. How would you like to go car battery shopping then have a spec of tested at 12volts given, instead of how many cranking amps, charge rate, service cycle rating, or what the heck was done at 12volts in that test? They must have a poor spec or why the games.

  • Can this be used to connect to 8 passive ceiling speakers?
No. This connects between the turntable phono output and then plugs into a Line Input on your amplifier. I.e. CD, DVD, Tape in. Your main amplifier would power any speakers

  • How would i wire it for an antique mono record player?
Can’t say did not work for my older turntable. All I got was a big buzz. Also tried on.a newer turntable combo, turntable, radio, and cd player. Thought I could patch to my stereo amp but same thing. Just a buzz… Not usable for my needs.

  • I tried this preamp with my turntable and Logitech z323 speaker system. there is no sound. i get low-level audio if i bypass the preamp?
A preamp is a plug-and-play unit. The only thing that we can do is to use a different RCA cable. You may call tech support for your turntable and Logitech for assistance.

  • Is this unit compatible with a Yamaha rx-v675 receiver?
    yes.

  • What is the frequency response? Does it put out a good amount of bass?
I’m not sure of the frequency response. That should be in the product specs, but it sounded very good when I connected it to a Wi-Fi transmitter and Wi-Fi speaker.

  • Can this device work in my country which has a 240-volt power supply? What is the exact watt and amp requirements for the device?
U would need a voltage converter as these are 110 volts.

  • Can I plug my turntable into this pre-amp, then connect a wireless transmitter to the output of the unit to use with a Bose Bluetooth speaker?
Absolutely. I did the exact same thing. Plugged my turntable into this unit, then into the Qualcomm aptX Low Latency Bluetooth Transmitter. It paired right away to my LG Bluetooth soundbar. I also tried it with my Bose Mini Soundlink and it worked perfectly.

  • Will it work with just speakers?
If the speakers are self-powered, yes it will work.
