Safety Instructions

Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
Indoor use only.

This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

General Guidelines

  • Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.

  • All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty

  • Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorized way will void the warranty.

  • Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

  • Nor Velleman NV nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage (extraordinary, incidental or indirect) – of any nature (financial, physical…) arising from the possession, use, or failure of this product.

  • Keep this manual for future reference.

Battery

| Prior to installing the batteries, please set the sensor sensibility (see below).

| WARNING – Do not puncture batteries or throw them in the fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
| WARNING – Remove the batteries if you are no longer using the device or if the device is left unused for an extended period. Remove used batteries promptly.
Alarm Module

  • Open the battery compartment and insert 8x 1.5 V AA  batteries according to the correct polarity.
  • Close the battery compartment.

Remote Control

  •  Open the battery compartment and insert 1x CR2032 the battery according to the correct polarity.
  • Close the battery compartment.

| The alarm module can also be powered using the included power supply.

Installation

Choose the installation spot considering the following:

  • Install the alarm module within the range of the remote control. Refer to the picture below.

  • The powerful and accurate microwave sensor will detect movement even behind non-metal PVC or wooden walls or doors. It is not recommended to install the alarm module behind or near metal panels or near interfering signals.

  • Make sure the installation spot is flat, dust-free, protected from rain and other weather elements, and not prone to vibrations.

  • Install the alarm module in a spot where the device cannot be tipped over.

Setting the Sensor
Prior to installing the batteries, move the switch to set the sensor sensibility:

Low: 2 m (front) – 5 m (back)
Mid: 4 m (front) – 8 m (back)
Hi: 6 m (front) – 12 m (back)

Operation

  1. Make sure the alarm module is powered and the batteries are installed in the remote control.

  2. Switch on the alarm module, either through the alarm module itself or through the remote control. The ARM LED will light after 10 seconds to indicate the alarm module has entered the armed mode.

  3. Select the alarm type (barking, alarm or doorbell) and set the volume level.
    WARNING – The alarm sound is very loud. Keep the alarm module at a safe distance and protect your ears when testing.
    When the device is armed, the module will detect human movement and emit an alarm sound. Press the on-off button once to switch off the alarm sound. Remember to alarm module will still be armed.
    You can also sound the alarm by pressing the SOS button on the remote control.

  4. Press the on-off button twice to switch off the device after use.

Care and Maintenance

Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
